A 9 seed parlay with boosted odds? We’re in.
There might not be a more difficult game to bet on during the First Round of the NCAA Tournament that the No. 9 vs. No. 8 seed matchups in each region.
Usually you can toss out the seeding here since these teams could switch rankings and it wouldn’t make much of a difference. If your squad finds itself in this game, it’s because they’re good enough to make a run and have enough flaws to question their resume to begin with.
Here at BetFTW, we want to make betting on these four games a little easier—and a lot more enticing—so we called up our pals at Tipico Sportsbook to give us some better odds.
Presenting: BetFTW’s Dressed to the Nines Boost. You can now parlay all four No. 9 seeds to win their First Round matchup with odds boosted to +2000. A max bet of $20 would payout $420 total.

This year’s No. 8 vs. No. 9 matchups feature Boise St-Memphis, North Carolina-Marquette, Creighton-San Diego State and Seton Hall-TCU.
To collect on the boost, we need TCU, Creighton, Marquette and Memphis to win straight up. It’s certainly not impossible. No. 9 seeds have won 73 of 144 games since the field expanded to 64 teams in 1985. More than half of those games were decided by fewer than 10 points.
These are true toss-ups with the lower-ranked team an underdog in name only. For that reason alone, we’re riding with the No. 9 seeds and grabbing these odds while we can.

Do you like Dickie V’s picks?
College basketball hasn’t felt quite the same this year as Dick Vitale hasn’t been able to announce games since before the new year because of complications from his battle with cancer. The good news for all is that Vitale appears to be on the mend, in fact he even showed up at the SEC Tournament over the weekend.
That doesn’t mean he’ll be back in front of a TV camera giving his “Diaper Dandies” and “PTPers” anytime too soon, unfortunately.
However, Vitale did release his bracket picks on Sunday night. See below to find out who the legendary commentator has winning each regional and ultimately cutting down the nets.

The top stories involving Alabama and the SEC on Monday morning.
Good Monday morning folks. We have another exciting edition of Alabama Morning Drive to deliver here at Roll Tide Wire and we are certainly thrilled that you decided to join us this morning.
Just a couple of headlines win the day for the Tide and the SEC and we will discuss those just below. So grab your cup of coffee or latte and let’s get this Monday started off on the right foot.
March Madness has officially arrived. Sunday afternoon on CBS, the brackets were released and the Crimson Tide found themselves as a sixth seed and will await the winner Rutgers and Notre Dame.
Alabama has now made back-to-back tournament appearances for the first time since 2006.
Alabama is scheduled to play Friday afternoon in San Diego, CA.
Boy, I don’t know what else the selection committed wanted from Buzz Williams and the Texas A&M Aggies. The Aggies caught fire towards the end of the season and went on to wreak havoc in the SEC Tournament but apparently their 22-12 record and NET 44 ranking was not enough for the committee.
SEC Tournament champs Tennessee was also swindled out of a two-seed by the committee. The Vols had five more wins against quad one and quad two teams than what Duke did, but the Blue Devils received the benefit of the doubt in favor of the Vols.
Oddly enough, maybe the strangest news around the SEC on Sunday was the fact that the Georiga Bulldogs announced its hiring of Florida Gators head coach Mike White to take over the head job in Athens.
The hiring came completely out of left field and left fans around the SEC in shock just moments before the brackets were revealed.
Mike White spent seven seasons as the head coach at Florida, amassing a 142-88 overall record with the Gators.
That is going to put an end to our Monday edition of Alabama Morning Drive. I hope everyone has a safe and happy day. Make sure to stay tuned to Roll Tide Wire for all the latest on the Alabama Crimson Tide!

Alabama’s opening matchup would be an important one to watch!
Alabama men’s basketball had an extremely short trip to Tampa, Florida for the SEC Conference Tournament. The Crimson Tide, seeded No. 6, lost the opening matchup against No. 11 Vanderbilt 82-76.
Now that Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide know they will not be repeating as conference tournament champions, their attention may now shift to the NCAA men’s tournament.
Last season, Alabama made it all the way to the Sweet 16 before losing to UCLA. This season, the program has sights set much higher. However, inconsistent play and a lack of leadership may ultimately be what ends the season for them.
ESPN’s bracketologist, Joe Lunardi, released his latest bracket projection overnight, and the Crimson Tide managed to stay put as a No. 6 seed, but would face a very difficult opponent.
Lunardi has Alabama opening up in the West Region against No. 11 Michigan, which is a strong program that his underperformed throughout the season, much like Alabama.

Do the Irish end up in the NCAA Tournament?
Going into this week it felt like a lock that Notre Dame would be among the 68 teams to have their name called on Selection Sunday and be selected for the NCAA Tournament. As of almost 5 p.m. EST on Friday though, are we so certain that’s the case?
Last night’s loss to Virginia Tech certainly didn’t help matters as the Irish came out flat and were playing from behind the entire evening. Notre Dame seems to have a solid case when you glance at their resume but when you start to dissect it, are you really that certain they’re in?
The huge win over Kentucky back in December certainly helps as that was a springboard for the Irish turning their season around. If bad losses still count for anything though, Notre Dame certainly has their fair share of those.
Notre Dame may be in right now but they have some hard rooting against others to do starting tonight.
Indiana beating Big Ten regular season champion Illinois early Friday afternoon bumps the Hoosiers resume seemingly off the bubble a bit and into the dance as they’re headed to the semi-finals of the Big Ten Tournament. Texas A&M upsetting top-seeded Auburn Friday gives the Aggies a boost as well, and it probably doesn’t help that Notre Dame has losses to both the Hoosiers and Aggies this season.
Oklahoma‘s upset of Baylor Thursday night helped the Sooners. Notre Dame fans should be rooting hard for Texas Tech to put a dent in Oklahoma’s resume Friday night in the Big 12. And although they’ve beat the Irish twice, Virginia Tech remains very much on the bubble. North Carolina taking care of the Hokies tonight would also be in Notre Dame’s best interest.
The little bit of good news Notre Dame did get was when Iowa beat Rutgers in the second Big Ten game of the day. The Scarlet Knights are very much on the bubble and can no longer add to their resume which at least helps a little.
Sports Illustrated has put Notre Dame very much on the bubble as they’re included in their “last four in” section early Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, Jonathon Warriner of Making the Madness had an unfortunate projection for Notre Dame fans after Indiana’s victory, sliding the Irish out.
Are you ready for the opposite of what should have been a stress-free weekend?
Who wins the ACC tournament this week?
The 2022 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament is set after the regular season concluded this past weekend. The 15 member schools now head to New York for the conference tournament as some look to improve their seeding for the NCAA Tournament while others try to make a final case to be in the field of 68 and not be left out.
Duke clinched their first outright ACC regular season title since the J. J. Redick days this year, but after North Carolina ruined Mike Krzyzewski’s final home game are the Blue Devils still the runaway favorite?
Here how the bracket will set up this week at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Is anyone beating NC State or Louisville?
The 2022 ACC Tournament gets underway on Wednesday, March 2 with three games taking place in order to get to the round of 12. From there, four games will be played on Thursday in order to set up the quarterfinals.
Here is how the bracket for the 2022 ACC Tournament will appear:
Notre dame gets a double-bye to the quarterfinals and will play whoever comes out of the pod between No. 6 Georgia Tech, No. 11 Wake Forest, and No. 14 Virginia. A win in that round would in all likelihood mean another date with No. 2 Louisville in the semi-finals, a team that has blown out the Irish twice in the last month.
We’ll keep you posted as to the results of each game and day of the ACC Tournament.

Tide Hoops doesn’t move in the latest Bracketology update
Alabama Men’s Basketball has only three games remaining in the 2021-2022 regular season before beginning the postseason with the SEC conference tournament; but three games is enough to have an impact on post season seeding.
ESPN’s NCAA Tournament expert, Joe Lunardi, recently released his latest bracket and more with some analysis.
In the Bracketology update, Lunardi has the Crimson Tide seeded at No. 5 in the Midwest region. Alabama would face off against No. 12 seed North Texas.
The three remaining games for Alabama should not pose too much of a challenge, as they are against unranked South Carolina, Texas A&M and LSU. However, unranked teams have led to some extremely close calls and even upsets for the Crimson Tide.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the team as the regular season concludes and the postseason gets underway.
