Big 12 Football: Predicting the outcome of each Week 10 game

Who is getting upset in Week 10?

While the Big 12 title race is basically down to just three teams, the conference is still due for chaos that can shake up the top of the standings.

Texas had found themselves with every opportunity to be atop the Big 12, but squandered any chance of getting there after losing three consecutive games while having a double-digit lead in each. At this point, schools not from Oklahoma or not named Baylor, are all playing to earn a spot in a bowl game and for pride.

The fight for the top couple spots is certainly heating up, and now schools such as TCU, West Virginia, and even Texas are looking to spoil the chances of everyone in their path.

The Longhorns likely need a win most of all to stop their downward spiral, but them playing against an angry Iowa State team, who is fresh off a loss to West Virginia, does not help their chances at all.

With that being said, it is time for my weekly Big 12 predictions. Heading into this week, I hold an overall record of 30-16. Let’s see if I can do better in Week 10.

Big 12 Football: Predicting the outcome of each Week 9 game

The Big 12 may see some shakeups in the standings again this week.

The Big 12 is in the midst of true madness with five teams vying for two conference championship spots.

While the top few teams have remained the same, the order has been consistently changing and very well has the chance to do so even more. Texas and No. 16 Baylor is the game with the biggest impact on the Big 12 race this weekend, and we will also see for the first time if Iowa State can follow up a good performance against a ranked team with another solid performance against a team they should have no issue beating.

Oklahoma is also looking to bounce back, as they were a miracle play from Caleb Williams away from losing to one of the worst teams in the FBS in Kansas.

Week 8 was a decent week as I went 3-1 in my predictions, bringing my season total to 27-14, but it is never easy to predict what will happen in the Big 12.

Predicting how each Big 12 team will do during Week 8

Is the Big 12 poised for mayhem in Week 8?

While there are currently two clear-cut teams at the top of the Big 12 conference, there is a group of teams bunched in the middle that have a chance to cause havoc if they beat those teams.

The state of Oklahoma is riding high at the moment. Oklahoma is sitting atop the Big 12 and is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation, while Oklahoma State, who is also undefeated, is No. 2 in the Big 12 and ranked No. 8 in the nation.

Every other team in the middle group of the Big 12 standings right now, such as Baylor, Iowa State, Texas, and Texas Tech are all hoping for the Oklahoma schools to be knocked off in order to give themselves a chance for the conference title.

While Kansas likely won’t knock off the Sooners this week, Oklahoma State has a very interesting game against Iowa State that could mark the beginning of the aforementioned chaos.

After last week’s predictions I am 24-13 on the season. Here are my predictions for how Week 8 will shape up, excluding Texas as they are on a much needed bye week.

Predicting how each Big 12 team will do in Week 7

The Week 7 outcomes could alter the top of the Big 12 standings in a major way.

The Big 12 title is very much up for grabs, with multiple teams still in contention.

The conference as a whole has had a pretty solid showing this year outside of Kansas, and there are multiple matchups this week that will directly impact certain team’s chances of making it to the conference championship.

Although the Big 12 may have had better weeks game wise, there are a ton of storylines entering Week 7. Oklahoma may or may not have a new starting quarterback after benching Spencer Rattler against Texas during the Red River Showdown. Student media from the school spotted that Caleb Williams taking more reps with the first team than Rattler was.

Baylor has a chance to dive back into the top-25 if they are able to pull off the upset against a very good BYU team, while Texas and Oklahoma State square off in what could be the most important game on Texas’ schedule.

Last week brought my season record for predictions to 21-11 and I’m hoping to bounce back this week. Here is how I believe each Big 12 game will shake out this week:
