Sooners Braden Carmichael named Big 12 pitcher of the week

After a complete game shutout of Oklahoma State, Oklahoma Sooners pitcher Braden Carmichael earned Big 12 pitcher of the week.

On the last weekend of the regular season, the Oklahoma Sooners dropped two of three to Oklahoma State as they battled for positioning ahead of the Big 12 baseball championships this week in Arlington.

In Oklahoma’s two losses on the weekend, the Sooners were outscored by the Cowboys 24-3. In their one win, Braden Carmichael pitched a gem, throwing a complete game shutout to lead the Sooners to a 5-0 win on Friday night.
