Charles Barkley apologized to Beyoncé’s mom for roasting her hometown before roasting it again

Barkley simply couldn’t help himself from immediately roasting Galveston again.

During a recent segment on Inside the NBA, TNT’s Charles Barkley went on an all-time rant about the New Orleans Pelicans.

Shaquille O’Neal casually asked Barkley where the Pelicans were headed once they get eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs.

While he likely assumed that his co-host would just say Cancun in Mexico, Barkley instead said something dramatically different that made everyone on set laugh hysterically.

Barkley said that the Pelicans should just drive to Galveston.

He proceeded to roast the quality of the water on he coastal city in Southeastern Texas.

Barkley may not have thought much about the place he decided to insult before he said it on the air. But someone who did think about it quite a bit was Tina Knowles, whose daughter is Beyoncé.

Here is what Tina said on Instagram:

“Chuck we don’t play about Galveston Texas ! You better watch it sucker! 😂😂Our water might not be blue , but it is still the beach and we love it! In fact , what you probably don’t Know is It’s an Island !! Yes me and @angiebeyince still rock our BOI necklaces ( Born On The Island) 😂😂😂. Jay sent this to me and Angie B Yesterday ! He asked us if we’re gonna let him talk about our city like that! 😂😂😂All Good @charleswbarkley we got a great laugh. So yal don’t start no S___T”

Knowles said that “we don’t play” about Galveston and that Barkley better watch out.

She also added that she “got a great laugh” about the roast, so it was all in good fun.

Just to be safe, rather than upset the fans of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Barkley offered a formal apology to Knowles.

“Ms. Knowles: I don’t want that smoke. I don’t want the Beehive and Jay after Chuck. Just know that I apologize.”

But when asked by Ernie Johnson how he liked Galveston now, Barkley immediately said we’re not going there.

Instead of wiping the slate clean, he said he would never go on vacation there and that he would rather visit San Antonio.

Barkley simply couldn’t help himself from immediately roasting Galveston again.

Beyoncé sending Dawn Staley flowers has hoops fans creating magnificent memes

South Carolina is officially in the Bey Hive, and hoops fans created some absolutely hilarious memes

After Beyoncé sent Dawn Staley flowers to congratulate her and South Carolina on their immaculate season, hoops fans realized that Beyoncé had been watching the whole time and responded with magnificent memes.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: WE ARE NOT TALKING ENOUGH ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA’S UNDEFEATED SEASON. Apparently, Beyoncé likely feels the same way and recently sent Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks their proverbial and literal flowers.

Dawn was so pumped that she shared precious videos to X (Formerly Twitter) of her thanking Beyoncé and celebrating the certified stamp of approval that one of the biggest celebrities on the planet gave to South Carolina.

Right on cue, hoops fans immediately made a colossal realization: Beyoncé had seen all the wildly impressive things South Carolina did to win a national championship. They responded with some hysterically creative memes and tweets.

Here’s some of the best we found:

Dawn Staley delivered a heartfelt message to Beyoncé for sending her flowers and swag

Dawn Staley is so lucky that Beyoncé is one of her biggest fans.

A Hall of Famer and perennial championship coach with South Carolina, Dawn Staley is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in basketball.

In fact, Staley is so influential that she’s now got one very appreciative super-fan: Beyoncé.

On Wednesday, Staley posted a video to her Twitter account revealing that the superstar singer sent her beautiful flowers, swag, and a message about how closely she followed Staley and South Carolina throughout this past entire season. It’s clear that Beyoncé put a lot of effort and thought into her appreciation of Staley.

Needless to say, Staley was jubilant to get her literal flowers from one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

Does it get any better than two respective legends in their fields coming together like this? What an awesome gesture from Beyoncé.

Is Taylor Swift on a Beyonce Cowboy Carter track? Fans think it’s her on Bodyguard (UPDATE)

We have a new theory about an uncredited Taylor Swift on a Beyonce song.

Here’s something we do know: Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are friends, to the point where Swift flew to the London premiere of the Renaissance tour film.

Here’s something we don’t know: Did Swift sing on a track on her friend’s new album, Cowboy Carter?

The song, Bodyguard, has some background vocals on it that definitely sound … Swift-y. And it’s one of the more pop-friendly tracks on the album. Plus, there was someone who edited a page on Genius to add Swift’s name, but we have no official confirmation.

That hasn’t stopped people from tweeting about it on X (formerly Twitter):

We’ll see if this is true or not!

UPDATE: People reports that’s NOT the case:

Following the release of Queen Bey’s eighth studio album on Friday, fans began speculating Swift provided uncredited background vocals on the track “Bodyguard,” but PEOPLE can confirm that’s not true.

Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter track listing may include a Dolly Parton Jolene cover and fans are so pumped

A Beyonce Jolene cover is what we need right now.

Jolene is one of those all-time great songs that should be left as is, a Dolly Parton tune so perfect that I think it should be untouched.

That is, unless it’s Beyoncé covering it.

And that may be the case, as the possible track listing for her Act II: Cowboy Carter dropped, as we get set for the country-themed album to release on Friday, March 29.

Among the titles in the really cool poster-esque post is Jolene, and if that’s really the case — maybe it’s a cover, maybe it’s a remix, maybe it’s a duet with Dolly herself — it’s going to be epic.

Fans agreed:

Beyonce’s new album title (and release date!) is here and it’s perfect

Get ready for more Beyonce country music!

We knew Beyonce’s new album — her first since 2022’s Renaissance — was going to have some country flair to it after she released two new songs during Super Bowl 58, with folks making many memes out of her Stetson hat looks and dances to the super-catchy and fun “Texas Hold ‘Em” song.

On Tuesday, we learned the name of the album and the release date, which is super exciting. It’s … Act II: Cowboy Carter! And it’s coming March 29, which is right around the corner.

This presumes there will be an Act III someday, with Beyonce perhaps choosing another genre to make her own. Here’s reaction to the news dropping on Tuesday:

Beyonce’s ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ has people (including the Savannah Bananas!) doing line dances all over TikTok

“It’s a real life boogie and a real life hoedown.”

Beyonce has gone country, and music fans can’t get enough. Her new single, Texas Hold ‘Em, has people making up line dances, and the results are so good. The song is taking over TikTok, and now the Savannah Bananas are involved because you know they can’t resist a chance to have fun.

Remember when Beyonce shocked the world with new music during the Super Bowl and then casually acted like it wasn’t a big deal? Well, news flash: IT’S A BIG DEAL. Her new music and forthcoming album, Renaissance Act II, is seemingly an ode to her Texas roots and to country music. Her two singles from the project, Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages, feature Beyonce in a new light, and fans are loving it.

Texas Hold ‘Em, in particular, is inspiring creative line dances across the country and somehow even found its way to sports. So many amazingly choreographed routines are currently trending on TikTok.

The news of Beyonce’s new country music album during Super Bowl 58 has fans making glorious country western memes

These are SO. GOOD. *kicks boots up and starts line dancing*

Super Bowl 58 might have been the main event on Sunday, but Beyonce and her new music stole the show, sparking the best country western memes the internet has to offer.

In case you missed it, Usher had just finished performing during halftime of Super Bowl 58 when Verizon dropped a Beyonce-themed commercial about all the ways she could try to break the internet and not lose signal. During the commercial, she can be heard asking if she had broken the internet yet before actually breaking it by casually dropping two new country songs like it was no big deal.

In other words, she knew how people would react.

Fans could not contain themselves, and the country-themed memes they’ve created after hearing the news are spectacular.

Beyonce dropped 2 country songs during Super Bowl 58 and fans are absolutely in love

Beyonce might be releasing a *checks notes* country album. Fans cannot believe the news.

BeyHive, stand up! Beyonce is releasing new music, and fans are convinced that it’s a country album. (THIS IS NOT A DRILL.)

OK, go with us here. Remember just days ago when Beyonce showed up to the Grammys wearing a cowboy hat and leather? It’s possible it was a subtle nod to the new music she created. During Super Bowl 58, a new Beyonce-themed commercial with Verizon dropped. The commercial played on Beyonce’s ability to release new music that “breaks the internet,” as she has seemingly done before with other music drops.

As the commercial ends, Beyonce can be heard saying, “They’re ready. Drop the new music.” Moments later, a post appeared on Instagram (teasing TWO new tracks) and snippets of her music flooded Twitter. Multiple outlets confirmed that a new album is dropping on March 29.
