Taylor Swift’s security alertedly stopped photographers from taking invasive photos before Chiefs-Broncos

Security team was all over it.

With Taylor Swift enjoying a brief break before the Eras Tour concludes with its Canadian leg, the 14-time Grammy winner was back at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday to watch the Chiefs take on the Broncos. But from the moment Swift arrived at the stadium, we could see just how much thought and preparation goes into protecting Swift — even during a short walk from a golf cart to elevator.

See, Swift’s outfit for the Week 10 appearance included a plaid red combo with a skirt. As Swift was making her walk down to the elevators, her security team took the lead to tell surrounding photographers to stand up. The guards repeated that command several times as Swift herself slowed her walk until all the photographers were standing.

They were doing that to protect Swift from invasive photos.

Given the slope down that tunnel, the security team acted fast to make sure photographers couldn’t take photos up Swift’s skirt. And while these are credentialed photographers and not paparazzi, Swift’s team was not going to let any invasive photos get taken there — even unintentionally.

It goes to show just how thorough her security is during these games and why we may only see Swift at Chiefs home games during the regular season. Her security knows Arrowhead Stadium so well that they are able to react quickly for a specific situation like that.

Pro Football Hall of Fame highlights Arrowhead Stadium: ‘It’s a legacy!’

The Pro Football Hall of Fame gave Arrowhead Stadium a shoutout on Twitter this week before the #Chiefs’ Week 10 matchup against the #Broncos.

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to face the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 10 with a chance to keep their undefeated season intact heading into the back half of their 2024 schedule.

The Chiefs’ AFC West showdown against the Broncos is sure to be an exciting affair, but it wasn’t the on-field product that seemed to intrigue the social media team at the Pro Football Hall of Fame this week.

Instead, it was the history of Arrowhead Stadium that became part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s pre-Week 10 coverage in a post to Twitter that highlighted the storied venue:

Fans in Kansas City have never taken the history of Arrowhead Stadium for granted and with a third-consecutive Super Bowl title at stake this season, the Chiefs faithful will have a chance to help their team continue their run of dominance at home games.

Stay tuned to see if Kansas City can secure its ninth win against the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, November 10.

Kansas WR Quentin Skinner makes leaping TD catch at Arrowhead Stadium

Check out this highlight-reel play by Kansas WR Quentin Skinner from the #Jayhawks’ homecoming game against the Houston #Cougars at Arrowhead.

The Kansas Jayhawks are off to their hottest start of the season on Saturday as they look to win their homecoming game against the Houston Cougars at Arrowhead Stadium.

After star quarterback Jalon Daniels and tight end Jared Casey got the Jayhawks out to an early lead in the first quarter, Kansas didn’t let its foot off the gas.

Later in the opening period, Daniels hit speedy wide receiver Quentin Skinner deep downfield with a 48-yard pass that required a leaping effort to haul in.

Check out this video of Skinner’s impressive catch, which was posted to Twitter by Kansas Football’s official account:

The Jayhawks currently hold a 1-5 record, but a win over the Cougars would be a step in the right direction for Kansas as head coach Lance Leipold looks to salvage the rest of his team’s 2024 campaign.

Expect to see more highlight plays from Daniels and Skinner as Saturday’s Big 12 showdown at Arrowhead Stadium continues.

Jalon Daniels, Jared Casey connect for Kansas TD at Arrowhead Stadium

The #Jayhawks are playing their homecoming game at Arrowhead Stadium, and took an early lead over the Houston #Cougars with this touchdown.

The Kansas Jayhawks are playing their homecoming game at Arrowhead Stadium against the Houston Cougars, and they wasted no time finding the endzone in the first quarter.

With so much pressure on Kansas to turn their 1-5 around this season, the Jayhawks needed to make a statement early against the Cougars, and star quarterback Jalon Daniels was able to do just that.

After a short kickoff return by Kansas to open the game, Daniels easily marched the Jayhawks’ offense down the field, and eventually connected with tight end Jared Casey for the game’s opening score.

Take a look at the outstanding red zone connection between Daniels and Casey in this video, which was posted by Kansas Football’s official account on Twitter:

Kansas continued extending its lead at Arrowhead Stadium through the end of the first quarter and into the second, and it currently holds a convincing 21-0 advantage over Houston before halftime.

Chiefs DB Justin Reid supports having significant others attend games

Kansas City #Chiefs defensive back Justin Reid supports having significant others attend games | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated 5-0 start has them atop the NFL and poised to secure the elusive three-peat Super Bowl title.

Chiefs safety Justin Reid has contributed to the last two titles and is a trusted veteran in the secondary. He appeared as a guest in a recent episode of the ‘Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams’ to give his insight on a topic many have shown interest in, especially with tight end Travis Kelce and music superstar Taylor Swift.

“Absolutely. Who doesn’t play better when they want to impress their girlfriend?” said Reid, proudly praising the importance of having significant others attend games. “Taylor (Swift), come to all the games. Taylor, keep coming,”

Reid received a fantastic surprise during the Chiefs victory on Monday Night Football over the New Orleans Saints. In a sea of fans at Arrowhead Stadium, he spotted his girlfriend Marissa Rand holding up a sign revealing that she and the Chiefs defensive back are expecting their first baby together.

The “Justin, I’m pregnant” sign and the precious moment were captured on their joint Instagram accounts on Tuesday, with Rand supplying the caption: “I heard Super Bowl babies are God’s favorite ;).”

Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt describes his return to Arrowhead Stadium: ‘I missed it so much’

Kansas City #Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt describes his return to Arrowhead Stadium: ‘I missed it so much’ | @EdEastonJr

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt picked up where he left off over five years after his success with the franchise. The veteran running back showed the versatility and reliability needed at the position since starter Isiah Pacheco’s injury.

“That was a great feeling to get back in the endzone. I missed it very much,” said Hunt. “That’s why I threw up a heart to show my love to Kansas City,” said Hunt, who finished playing his first home game at Arrowhead Stadium since 2018. “I’m having a blast out there. It’s so much fun. I missed it so much. (Head) Coach (Andy) Reid does a great job of putting us in great situations to be successful.”

The 29-year-old carried the ball 27 times in his first start of the season during the Week 5 victory, tallying 102 yards, and showing little rust or fatigue from the heavy workload without a training camp.

“I feel like I’m going to be alright. We have some time before we get back, so that’s good for me right now,” said Hunt. “I just need to stay working out.”

Hunt appears to have snagged the starting role moving forward, but all the running backs are expected to continue to see time on the field.

Start time announced for Kansas’ homecoming game at Arrowhead Stadium

Check out this key information about the Kansas #Jayhawks’ homecoming football game against the Houston Cougars at Arrowhead Stadium.

When the Kansas City Chiefs head to California for a Super Bowl LVIII rematch against the San Francisco 49ers, the Kansas Jayhawks will take the defending champions’ place at Arrowhead Stadium to play their homecoming game against the Houston Cougars.

The Jayhawks have fallen well short of expectations to start their 2024 season, and are still reeling after a brutal 35-31 loss to Arizona State last week in Tempe.

Kansas will have the benefit of a bye week to assess the damage and make much-needed adjustments ahead of their matchup against the Cougars on October 19.

On Monday, Kansas Football’s official Twitter account announced the start time for the Jayhawks’ second game at Arrowhead:

https://twitter.com/KU_Football/status/1843350611896775141

Now halfway through the season, Kansas is desperately hoping to turn things around in search of their third-straight bowl game.

If speedy quarterback Jalon Daniels can avoid crucial turnover mistakes and running back Devin Neal can continue to perform at an elite level against Houston, the Jayhawks may be able to get out of Kansas City with a win.

Chiefs vs. Saints: Kareem Hunt scores touchdown in return to Arrowhead Stadium

#Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt scored a touchdown in his first game back at Arrowhead Stadium against the #Saints on ‘Monday Night Football’

The Kansas City Chiefs wasted no time getting things going against the New Orleans Saints on “Monday Night Football.”

After an interception by safety Bryan Cook on the Saints’ first possession, quarterback Patrick Mahomes marched Kansas City’s offense down the field with ease.

Tight end Travis Kelce, who has struggled to begin the year, routinely found holes in New Orleans’ coverage and tallied 31 yards on the Chiefs’ first drive.

However, it was veteran running back Kareem Hunt who scored the game’s first points on a carry near the goal line in his return to Arrowhead Stadium.

Take a look at this video of Hunt’s touchdown against the Saints, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:

If Mahomes and Hunt can continue to dissect New Orleans’ defense as they did on Kansas City’s first drive, the Chiefs may be able to continue their undefeated streak heading into their bye week.

Chiefs to celebrate cancer survivors on Monday night for Crucial Catch game vs. Saints

Kansas City #Chiefs to celebrate cancer survivors on Monday night for Crucial Catch game vs. New Orleans #Saints | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints will have more meaning beyond the scoreboard. As part of the NFL’s Crucial Catch campaign, the night is dedicated to cancer survivors and informing the public on early detection.

Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer aims to move the country towards unprecedented early detection and risk reduction of screenable cancers. In partnership with the University of Kansas Cancer Center, the Chiefs hosted lunches for patients who had been affected by cancer and watched practice at the University of Kansas Health System Training Complex.

The Crucial Catch campaign allows the NFL to reach and impact a wider population affected by various forms of cancer. The Chiefs continued their efforts recently as Mike Pennel and Chris Jones visited the University of Kansas Cancer Center to meet with patient Jill Shahan and surgical oncologist Jamie Wagner to discuss their journeys.

Crucial Catch calls on people across the country to access an NFL-funded digital tool that provides users with recommendations on how they can take action to keep healthy and reduce cancer risk. Fans are encouraged to print out unique cards to share who they cheer for Monday night.

Just one Saints player remains from their last visit to Arrowhead Stadium

There’s plenty of turnover in the NFL, but this is stunning. Just one player remains from the Saints’ last visit to Arrowhead Stadium:

It’s been a long time since the New Orleans Saints last made the trip to Arrowhead Stadium for a game with the Kansas City Chiefs, but they’ll be back on Monday night. There’s plenty of turnover in the NFL, but this is stunning. Just one player remains on the roster from the Saints’ last visit in 2016: Cameron Jordan.

Because this is an inter-conference matchup pitting an NFC team against an AFC opponent, the Saints have only kicked off with the Chiefs a dozen times in franchise history, or once every four years. And with the home-and-away structure rotating each game, it’s been eight seasons since they last played the Chiefs in Kansas City.

None of Jordan’s teammates from that game (a 27-21 loss) are still suiting up for New Orleans, though many of them are still active around the NFL; guys  like Thomas Morstead, Wil Lutz, Terron Armstead, and Vonn Bell, among a few others. A couple have turned to coaching, including Jahri Evans (with the Saints), Zach Strief (on the Denver Broncos), and James Laurinaitis (at Ohio State).

That’s not to say the Chiefs have kept their squad together. Just three players are left on the opposing sideline, too — tight end Travis Kelce, defensive tackle Chris Jones, and long snapper James Winchester. In total, of the 89 players who got on the field for at least one snap on offense, defense, or special teams between the two sides, only four are still on their respective rosters.

Hopefully the Saints come away  with a win this time. And, hopefully, the next time they visit Arrowhead Stadium they’ll have done a better job  drafting, developing, and most importantly retaining their talent.
