After a 7-6 season that ended with a Guaranteed Rate Bowl victory over Oklahoma State in late December, some of Wisconsin’s top players elected to move on to the next level.

Among those participating Thursday were offensive lineman Joe Tippmann, interior defensive lineman Keeanu Benton and linebacker Nick Herbig. They are expected to be the first former Badgers off the board in the 2023 draft.

Twitter reacts to Wisconsin punter Andy Vujnovich’s insane workout routine

Yes, the Badgers have the strongest punter in the country

Wisconsin Badgers are known for impressive feats in the weight room, but usually those are reserved for linebackers, running backs, and offensive lineman to name a few positions.

Punters showing off in the weight room? Not something you come across every day.

Wisconsin’s starting punter Andy Vujnovich is no ordinary punter. After transferring from D-3, the Badger State native has excelled as Wisconsin’s starting punter for the past two seasons. He has also turned heads in the weight room. A video of “Vuj” from 2021 has once again been circling the internet this week, leading to a number of hilarious reactions from the college football world.

Vujnovich performed a “Turkish Get-Up” last preseason, and the video is once again blowing up on social media:

Here are some of the best reactions to the nation’s strongest punter:

Four Wisconsin Badgers Make Bruce Feldman’s 2022 CFB Freaks List

Wisconsin running back Braelon Allen is one of four #Badgers that appeared on The Athletics CFB freaks list for the 2022 season:

The University of Wisconsin football team is known for finding strong, corn-fed, gritty, under-the-radar players and bringing them into their program to develop them physically, get them on the field and give them a shot at playing on Sundays.

Over the years, Wisconsin has produced several athletic physical freaks of nature, such as J.J. Watt, T.J. Watt, Jonathan Taylor, Melvin Gordon, Leo Chenal, and many others.

So, it should be no surprise that four Badgers off this year’s team appeared in Bruce Feldman of The Athletics’ annual college football freaks list for 2022, which celebrates the 100 most impressive athletes in all of college football from a physical/measurable standpoint.

Badgers Punter Andy Vujnovich Named to 2022 Ray Guy Award Watch List

UW’s punter was named Wednesday to the 49-man preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award:

Wisconsin’s Andy Vujnovich was named Wednesday to the 49-man preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award, presented annually to the nation’s top punter.

The fifth-year senior, who has punted for the Badgers the past two seasons, was named All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2020 and has a career average of 44.5 yards per punt while at UW and a career-long of 68 yards.

Last season, the 6-foot-3, 234-pound punter registered 15 punts of at least 50 yards and placed 16 of his punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.

Vujnovich, who punted for Columbus High School (Wisc.), has one of the most powerful legs in the Big Ten and has proven to be a weapon for an inconsistent UW special teams.
