Five players who need their roles increased following the bye week

Here are five players who should see their roles increased following Alabama’s bye week

[autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team have reached their bye week following their incredible come-from-behind victory over the Tennessee Volunteers, 34-20.

With Alabama having the week off, it is time to reflect on what has happened so far this season and also what we can expect for the Tide down the stretch.

So far there have been a lot of players step up for Alabama and make plays that have helped the team achieve their 7-1 record. But there is always room for more players to increase their role and make an impact as Alabama races to the finish line.

Here are five players that should see their roles increased following Alabama’s bye week.

Alabama Football: 5 names to watch for the remainder of fall camp

5 players Alabama football fans should watch for the remainder of fall camp!

In less than four weeks, [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team will take the field inside Bryant-Denny Stadium to take on Middle Tennessee State to begin its 2023 season. Now that fall camp is underway, we are starting to get a better sense of what this version of the Crimson Tide might look like.

With Alabama still in the early stages of fall camp, I thought it would be a good time to take a look at a handful of players who are making some noise and should be closely watched for the remainder of fall practice.

Let’s roll through the list!

Alabama football countdown to kickoff: 84 days

With just 84 days remaining until Alabama football kicks off the 2023 season we take a look a sophomore tight end Amari Niblack!

The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 84 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.

Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and his team take the field.

Today, with just 84 days remaining until kickoff against the Blue Raiders, we take a look at a promising tight end on Alabama’s current roster, sophomore Amari Niblack.

Niblack caught just one pass as a freshman in 2022 which went for 15 yards and a touchdown. The former five-star recruit appears to have developed physically heading into his second season in Tuscaloosa and could be a valuable target for the Alabama offense in 2023.

Former Alabama TE, Elijah Brown, announces transfer to FAU

Former Alabama TE announces transfer location to Florida Atlantic

The most recent of 17 former Alabama football players to announce his transfer destination this offseason is tight-end, Elijah Brown, who announced via social media on Monday that he would be continuing his collegiate career with the Florida Atlantic Owls. Brown is the only one of the Alabama transfers to not land at another Power Five program, but he will be teaming up with former Texas head coach Tom Herman.

Brown only spent one year in Tuscaloosa after enrolling early in January of 2022. He has a massive frame at 6-foot-5, 250 pounds and will certainly find a role in the Owls’ offense. Coming out of high school, Brown was a four-star recruit and the No. 8 TE in his class. He will have four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting in 2022.

Alabama has plenty of depth at the tight end position heading into 2023. Incoming top-100 recruit, Amari Niblack, is expected to see playing time from early on and Alabama also decided to add former Maryland TE, C.J. Dippre via the transfer portal.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Elijah Brown’s collegiate career.

Post-spring depth chart projections for Alabama’s tight ends

Projecting Alabama’s tight end depth chart post-spring!

Now that spring football has officially wrapped up and the 2023 NFL draft is complete, it is time to shift our focus to the offseason.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have a ton of questions marks exiting spring and fans are chomping at the bit for answers.

So as we dive into the dog days of summer, I thought we could take a look, position by position, and project the possible depth chart for the 2023 Alabama football team post-spring.

Together we have already taken a look at the quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers and today we will wrap up the offensive skill positions with the tight ends.

Let’s roll!

10 players with the most to prove in Alabama’s A-Day game

Roll Tide Wire breaks down which 10 Alabama football players have the most to prove in Alabama’s A-Day game on Saturday.

Alabama finished last season with an 11-2 record and a Sugar Bowl victory over Kansas State. This may sound like a successful season, but not for the Crimson Tide program.

The expectation for the Tide each season is that they reach the conference championship as well as the College Football Playoff. Anything less is a disappointment among the Alabama faithful.

With several key players from a season ago headed to the NFL, there will be some new faces at key positions.

Roll Tide Wire takes a look at 10 players that have the most to prove in Alabama’s A-Day game on Saturday.

Five offensive players who need to play well in Friday’s scrimmage

Five offensive players who need to play well in Alabama’s first scrimmage of the spring!

[autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team will hold its first scrimmage of the spring on Friday afternoon before having the weekend off for Easter.

Coach Saban and the Tide generally don’t allow much information to be released from the closed scrimmages but there are always some little hints sprinkled throughout Coach Saban’s comments afterward.

With the scrimmage just a few hours away, Roll Tide Wire thought it would be a good idea to look at five players from each side of the ball that need to step up and perform well in the first game-like situation of the spring.

Here are five players from the offense:

Position Breakdown: Alabama’s TE’s ahead of spring practice

A deep dive into the Alabama tight end room ahead of spring practice.

We are now just a few weeks out from [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team taking the practice field to begin spring ball.

As is the case each offseason, there are many questions that need to be answered before the Tide hit the field to start the 2023 season.

As spring practice creeps closer, we are going to break down each position group on both sides of the ball. We have already looked at the quarterbacks, running backs, defensive line, and outside linebackers. Today we will take a look at the tight end group which could be a strength of the Tide offense.

Let’s dive right in!

5 young players who could impact the Sugar Bowl for Alabama

The transfer portal and potential opt-outs could provide opportunities for several of Alabama’s younger players.

Alabama’s Allstate Sugar Bowl matchup with Kansas State is still a little over three weeks away but there are still several interesting notes to dissect when looking at the contest.

The mass exodus that Alabama has had via the transfer portal has opened up several opportunities for younger players to make an impact for the Crimson Tide when New Year’s Eve arrives.

But the portal is not the only thing we should be thinking about. It is more likely than not that Alabama will experience at least a few opt-outs from some of its upperclassmen who are expected to be high draft picks come April 2023.

Team leaders such as [autotag]Bryce Young[/autotag] and [autotag]Will Anderson[/autotag] are expected to skip out on New Orleans and begin preparing to become most likely top-five picks. There is also a chance that they are not the only two.

Now, when putting together this list, we are merely working off hypothetical scenarios since none of the starters have yet to make an announcement of their intentions for the Sugar Bowl. I am also going to do my best to include players that have not really made that much of an impact to this point.

Nevertheless, here are some young players that could be given an opportunity to make an impact against the Wildcats.

5 potential breakout players following Alabama’s bye week

5 potential breakout players following Alabama’s bye week.

[autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football team are wrapping up their bye before completing the final third of the regular season.

Despite their loss to Tennessee, the Crimson Tide still remain in the hunt for an SEC West crown and a trip to the SEC Championship. But the road to Atlanta will not be easy for the Tide.

Following the bye week, Alabama will make back-to-back road trips to ranked LSU and ranked Ole Miss before finishing the season off at home with Austin Peay and arch-rival Auburn.

It seems like every year a handful of players find their groove toward the back half of the season and begin to make an impact on the team. Let’s take a look at five potential members of the Crimson Tide that could breakout following the bye week.
