Lassiter is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and plays high school football for American Christian. He’s a talented three-star recruit, who has seen major attention from big-time FBS programs.

The cornerback released his top schools via Twitter:

Lassiter puts Georgia, Georgia Tech, FSU, Alabama, LSU, and Auburn in his top schools. He’s got quite some time to make his decision. The Bulldogs are the most recent school to offer him a scholarship.

During the current recruiting dead period it is tough for players to visit schools. They have to do so on their own, without the financial support of the school.

We’ll keep you updated throughout Lassiter’s recruitment. His decision will impact Georgia no matter which way he goes.

Georgia football target Dallas Turner set to make commitment

Georgia and Alabama football recruiting target Dallas Turner is committing July 1st.

St. Thomas Aquinas is an elite high school football program. They won the Florida’s state championship last season partially due to 2020 University of Georgia signee Marcus Rosemy.

Dallas Turner anticipates playing against high-level competition in high school  next season. He’s trimmed down his list of top schools significantly. Here are Turner’s top five schools:

Turner puts Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Florida in his top five. Turner will likely be another talented recruit head outside the state of Florida for college. Georgia and Alabama are considered the top two schools for Turner at the moment according to 247Sports, but they project him go with the Crimson Tide.

Turner is one of three juniors to make all-state defense as a junior. It’s even more impressive considering the elite talent in the state:

Dawg fans hope Turner will consider being the latest Florida recruit to come north to Athens. Either way it is looking like he’ll be another talented recruit to leave the Sunshine State.

4-star Georgia, Tennessee target announces commitment

Katron Evans, a 4-star in the class of 2021, has announced his commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers. He was considered Georgia and others.

The Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee Volunteers and more made the top eight schools for 2021 defensive tackle KaTron Evans. Unfortunately for UGA, Evans has committed to the University of Tennessee.

Evans has an impressive frame at 6 feet, 4 inches and 320 pounds and he plays high school football at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Dawgs will see him again in the SEC. He announced his commitment via Twitter:

Evan is a four-star recruit and a top-10 defensive tackle in his class. Here were the initial top schools he was considering:

Evans put Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, USC, TCU and Arizona State in his original top eight. Evans can’t currently visit schools due to the recruiting dead period, but decided to commit to the Volunteers anyway.

The Vols are on fire in recruiting at the moment, but will their commits stick? More recruits are committing early this year than previous years. Recruits are always heavily swayed by what they see on the field, so the 2020 season (if played) could cause a number of players to de-commit.

Kirby Smart and UGA have seven commitments in the class of 2021. The Dawgs already have one defensive tackle commit in Marlin Dean, who is an in-state three star talent.

Hall is a four-star prospect who plays high school football at IMG Academy. He has good size at 6’3″.

Agiye Hall, who is a member of the class of 2021, committed to Alabama via Twitter:

Hall announced his top four schools: Georgia, Arizona State, LSU, and Alabama via Twitter in March. Hall re-opened his recruitment to all schools, but rolled with the Crimson Tide in the end.

Agiye Hall trains and plays at an elite high school football program in IMG Academy. He is a solid route runner. Look at this route to demonstrate his abilities:

Hall doesn’t tip his route very much and gains lots of separation in this case. He should be a playmaker for Alabama fro years to come. He’s a great commitment for Nick Saban and the always loaded Crimson Tide.

Despite a dead period in recruiting, players are still making commitments. Kirby Smart and Georgia have recently seen a couple of commits of their own. Georgia additionally has several other wide receiver targets in the class of 2021.

Georgia, Florida among WR Daquayvious Sorey’s top schools

The Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators made Graceville wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey’s top ten.

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs recently offered a scholarship to wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey. Sorey is a member of the class of 2023 and plays at Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida. Graceville is in the panhandle of Florida and is very close to the border of Georgia and Florida.

Athens wouldn’t be a far trip for Sorey or his talented cousin Xavian Sorey. Xavian, a four-star 2021 linebacker, also put Georgia among his top schools. The duo would like to play together again in college.

Sorey has received recruiting interest so far from Alabama, Florida State, Auburn,  Florida, Tennessee and more. Sorey was excited to receive his offer from UGA, but is entertaining his options at this point. That being said, Sorey released his top ten schools via Twitter:

Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, and Southern Mississippi make up Sorey’s first top ten. He’ll have plenty of time to update it as his recruitment changes. For now, it is quite SEC heavy and focuses on schools with close proximity to Graceville, Florida.

Sorey has visited Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators, who are close to his hometown:

Sorey, who is a freshman, will have an abundance of time to decide his recruiting future. Will it be in Athens? Gainesville? Tuscaloosa?

Sorey started for varsity as an eighth grader. He shows impressive ability to track the ball in his highlights. He has plenty of time to improve his game. He’s 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds.

It’ll be intriguing to see how recruitment for Sorey plays out, since there is an abundance of time for teams to add their names to the mix. Any freshman receiving so much early interest from major programs is bound to end up as a four- or five-star recruit.
