Kareem Hunt injury updates: Latest news on Chiefs RB

#Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt is dealing with a quad injury. Here are the latest updates.

Kareem Hunt was instrumental in the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Buffalo Bills in last Sunday’s AFC Championship Game, and figures to play a key role in the team’s game plan for its Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

While he has gotten through the season with minimal health concerns, Hunt was listed on the Chiefs’ estimated injury report on Wednesday, which was released during their week bye ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

Are there concerns Hunt could be absent when Kansas City takes on the Philadephia Eagles in the Super Bowl?

Kareem Hunt injury update

Hunt was listed on the Chiefs’ Wednesday injury report due to an issue with his quad. However, it was estimated that Hunt would have been a full participant in practice, had the team run drills on Wednesday, and he was removed from Kansas City’s injury reports for the rest of the week.

How long will Kareem Hunt be out?

Hunt is not expected to miss any time due to his condition after he was removed from the Chiefs’ injury report on Thursday and Friday.

Chiefs RB depth chart

Chiefs vs Bills predictions, picks

Chiefs 23, Bills 20: The Chiefs are riding high after last week’s win, but will face a much tougher opponent in the Bills. Josh Allen is having an MVP-caliber season and can make light work of any defense with his ability to scramble. However, Kansas City’s defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is a wizard with adjustments and will undoubtedly have a gameplan to stop Allen and the Bills’ offense, but it won’t be easy.

This game will most likely decide the winner of Super Bowl LIX. Allen has yet to beat Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs, and though this game will be incredibly close, the winless streak will not end today.

Is Johni Broome playing today? Final injury update for Auburn forward ahead of Tennessee game

Auburn forward Johni Broome is dealing with an ankle injury. Here are the latest updates before Auburn faces Tennessee on Saturday.

The No. 1 Auburn Tigers have been without star forward [autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag] for two games after sustaining an ankle injury during the Tigers’ 66-63 win over South Carolina on Jan. 11.

Since then, the Tigers have gone 2-0 with wins over top-25 competition in Mississippi State and Georgia. Auburn will face its toughest opponent of the SEC slate to date on Saturday when it battles No. 7 Tennessee at Neville Arena in prime time at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN. Will Broome be available to play?

According to a report by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Broome returned to practice Thursday but did not practice at full strength. Should he not be able to go, the Tigers have enough depth and pieces to fill the void until Broome is healthy enough to return.

This week, Auburn guard [autotag]Chad Baker-Mazara[/autotag] praised the talent that Auburn has by saying that he is not surprised that the Tigers are playing well, even in Broome’s absence.

“Throughout the summer, I’ve seen the guys put in the work and we have been going at war throughout the summer. So I had a big belief that we was good actually. I didn’t know that we was this good. But, at the same time, I had a feeling about it. Johni going down, I’ve seen how everyone’s changed and is like ‘ok, we don’t have our best player, now we gotta like, actually focus because we don’t have that extra thing that he brings to the court,’ which is a big part of the play. I feel like everybody took that to heart and locked down even more with the film and the coaches.”

Here is the latest injury update for Broome ahead of Saturday’s game.

Johni Broome injury update

Broome is listed as “questionable” for Auburn’s game against Tennessee on Saturday. The star forward practiced Thursday but was not at full strength.

How long will Broome be out?

Friday, Bruce Pearl told Jeff Goodman of “Field of 68” that Broome “wants to play” and that his injury will be evaluated again before the Tigers take the floor on Saturday.

Auburn depth chart

Should Broome not be able to go, or be limited, Chaney Johnson and Ja’Heim Hudson will take on Broome’s role at the “4.” In Auburn’s last game, the duo combined to score seven points and secure nine rebounds in the Tigers’ 70-68 win over Georgia.

Will Jaylen Watson play vs. Bills? Injury update for Chiefs DB

#Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson is dealing with an ankle injury. Here are the latest updates.

Cornerback Jaylen Watson has been instrumental in the Kansas City Chiefs’ success, but faced significant adversity this season after breaking his leg in Week 7.

Though Watson returned for Kansas City’s divisional-round playoff matchup against the Houston Texans, he is still listed on the Chiefs’ injury report heading into Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.

Will Watson be ready to take the field against the Buffalo Bills this weekend?

Jaylen Watson injury update

Although Watson remains on Kansas City’s injury report due to his ankle, he was a full participant in the Chiefs’ practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday and is likely to play against the Bills on Sunday.

How long will Jaylen Watson be out?

Watson not expected to miss any time due to his condition.

Chiefs CB depth chart

Watson’s backups are Nazeeh Johnson and Joshua Williams, who were both key assets for Kansas City’s defense while he was on injured reserve.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame CFP Championship Game injury report: Latest updates, news

All the latest updates and news on TEAMA’s injury report ahead of a Week X game vs. TEAMB.

This story was updated to correct misspellings.

Ohio State and Notre Dame are almost ready to put on a show for college football fans on Monday night in Atlanta. You need a little more than skill to win a College Football Playoff championship. Sometimes luck, an officiating call or a timely bounce of the ball can make all the difference.

So, too, can the health of a team. As they say, it’s not always who you play, but when you play them, and that can be especially true if some key players are either out of a matchup or not quite 100%. And, at this point in the season, an unprecedented 16 games in for both the Irish and Buckeyes, there are updates to injuries that could have a pretty big bearing on who walks out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium as college football national champions.

Ohio State doesn’t publish an injury report, but we’ve heard from some of the players and coaches on where things stand (supposedly) with some of the key personnel that we had questions about. As best we can tell, here’s where things stand ahead of Monday night for both teams.

Ohio State injury report

Ohio State comes into the championship game in relatively good health. We know left tackle Josh Simmons and center Seth McLaughlin are lost for the year. Other starters dealt with bumps and bruises after the Cotton Bowl. Defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau suffered an ankle injury but returned to finish the game in Dallas. Quarterback Will Howard had a golf-ball size lump on his non-throwing hand, and cornerback Denzel Burke was held out due to an upper body injury according to coach Ryan Day.

Notre Dame injury report

The Irish appear to be a little more banged up heading into this one than Ohio State. Starting running back Jeremiyah Love is on the mend from a knee injury. There are offensive line concerns, as well as question marks at receiver, tight end and the defensive line.

DE J.T. Tuimoloau injury update – Ohio State

It’s probably a good bet that Tuimoloau will not be 100%, but he doesn’t appear to be limping in Atlanta and doesn’t have a boot or anything on. Look for him to be ready to roll at close to his best with the best treatment the Buckeye training staff can provide.

CB Denzel Burke injury update – Ohio State

We didn’t even know Burke was injured until Day addressed it in one of the media sessions, but it appears as though he has recovered and will be available for the game.

QB Will Howard injury update – Ohio State

There was nothing seriously wrong with Howard’s hand despite the grotesque looking nature of such a large bump. It really boiled down to a broken blood vessel, and he’s 100% and ready to lead this team under center against the Fighting Irish

RB Jeremiyah Love injury update – Notre Dame

Love has been practicing without a knee brace, and that is good news for the Irish. He’s probably not at full speed, but close enough to be a threat in the game. The Irish will need him to be explosive and it appears he is closer to top form than last game.

LT Anthony Knapp injury update – Notre Dame

The Irish will be without their starting left tackle who was injured against Penn State. Making his second career start appears to be Charles Jagusah. It’ll be a matchup to watch with Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer coming off the edge.

WR Beaux Collins injury update – Notre Dame

The Irish would love to get one of their weapons at receiver back, and it looks like he is trending that way. He has practiced almost fully the last couple of days after nursing a calf strain and being listed as questionable. It looks like he’ll be good to go Monday.

RG Rocco Spindler injury update – Notre Dame

The starting right guard has been in and out of the lineup in the playoffs and could not finish the Orange Bowl. However, he is not listed on the injury report, so he’s ready to suit up and go after it, or so it would appear.

TE Cooper Flanagan injury update – Notre Dame

The tight end hurt his Achilles tendon in the Peach Bowl against Georgia and will be out for the championship game.

DL Rylie Mills injury update – Notre Dame

Mills injured his knee in the first round of the playoffs. It appears he, too, will not be available for the biggest game of the season Monday night.

Is Jeremiyah Love playing today? Injury updates for Notre Dame RB

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is dealing with a knee injury. Here are the latest update

Notre Dame Fighting Irish running back [autotag]Jeremiyah Love[/autotag] has been fighting a knee injury since the regular-season finale against USC.

Love wore a brace during the College Football Playoff semifinal win against Penn State. He had relatively pedestrian numbers against the Nittany Lions, but he also gutted out a tough touchdown run.

Love appears to have been practicing without the brace.

In other Notre Dame injury news, wide receiver Beaux Collins is expected to play. Meanwhile, left tackle Anthonie Knapp is out, with Charles Jagusah the likely replacement. The status of right guard Rocco Spindler is unclear.

Jeremiyah Love injury update

Jeremiyah Love has been fighting a nagging knee injury, even to the point of wearing a brace, but it appears he’ll be full go for the national championship game and may even be able to shed the brace.

As for Collins, he’s raring to go.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” he told the South Bend Tribune. “I’m appreciative of my teammates and coaches that got us here. It’s going to be a fun show for sure. It’s going to be a shootout. Physical game as well. Both run games are great, but we’re going to have to make some plays in the passing game.”

How long will Jeremiyah Love be out?

He appears ready to go for Monday’s game.

Notre Dame running back depth chart

Backing up Love is Jadarian Price, who’s had a solid year toting the football himself. He and Love form a nice 1-2 punch and Price can handle the workload should Love be sidelined. Aneyas Williams has had some key carries, as well. Devyn Ford is next off the bench following Wiliams.

Is Hannah Hidalgo playing today? Injury updates for Notre Dame star guard

Do the Irish women get their star guard back tonight?

The Notre Dame women’s basketball team has been fine without its star guard [autotag]Hannah Hidalgo[/autotag], but it looks like the Irish are getting good news for Sunday’s contest against SMU.

According to Sean Stires, the radio play-by-play broadcaster for women’s basketball, Hidalgo will be back in the starting lineup after missing the last two games with an ankle sprain.

The sophomore has dominated when on the court this season, averaging 25.7 points-per-game with 6 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Notre Dame has won its past 10-games, and while they haven’t missed Hidalgo, they will more than welcome the return of its star.

The Irish women will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. ET as the game will be played on the ACC Network.
