The Philadelphia Eagles are starting to get healthy but one prominent name landed on the team’s injury report on Wednesday as Rodney McLeod checked in with a hamstring injury.

Through four games, McLeod has 25 tackles and three passes defended including a 21-yard interception in last week’s win over the 49ers, marking the turnover caused by the Eagles defense this season.

Star safety Rodney McLeod was a new addition to the report, missing practice with a hamstring injury, along with T.J. Edwards (hamstring), Rudy Ford (hamstring), and Avonte Maddox.

Fletcher Cox (abdomen), Marcus Epps (ribs), DeSean Jackson (hamstring), Nate Herbig (groin), Alshon Jeffery (foot), and Jason Kelce (hip) were all limited participants.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside got in a full practice after missing last week’s win with a lower-body injury.

The Cardinals waived Toth (undisclosed) from injured reserve Tuesday after agreeing to an injury settlement and becoming a free agent.

Toth is a second lieutenant in the United States Army and was granted a special waiver allowing him to sign a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

With the Philadelphia Eagles dealing with injuries at significant positions and linebacker T.J. Edwards set to miss time with a hamstring injury, the Birds had a familiar face in for a workout at the NovaCare Complex.

Former Eagles undrafted free agent and Montana star linebacker Dante Olson was in town for a visit.

Olson was the 2019 Buck Buchanan Award winner, which is given to the most outstanding defensive player in the FCS. A tackling machine at Montana in the last two seasons.

Olson started 25 of 47 games at Montana and during his final season, he set the Big Sky Conference’s single-season record for tackles with 179 and made 26 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, three interceptions, five forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. In the game that put him on the map, Olson registered 14 tackles against Oregon.

A smart and instinctive ball-hawk, Olson plays in the mold of T.J. Edwards.

The Philadelphia Eagles protected four practice squad players including Jason Croom, Grayland Arnold, T.Y. McGill, and Elijah Riley

Business is picking up on a Tuesday and the Philadelphia Eagles have already started to shape their roster in advance of Sunday’s huge matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Eagles announced that T.Y. McGill, Grayland Arnold, Elijah Riley, and Jason Croom were the four practice squad players protected.

McGill recorded a half-sack and two QB pressures and hits in the season opener against Washington.

Riley is likely to assume special team’s duties while Rudy Ford is injured, while Croom could be a candidate to be the second or third tight end on Sunday.
