Joshua Moore – Wide Receiver

One of the most important position battles on the entire team will be the wide receivers. Brennan Eagles and Jake Smith are the top two receivers returning from the 2019 season. They finished tied for second on the team behind Devin Duvernay for the most touchdown receptions. Jordan Whittington is expected to have a big role and transfer Tarik Black is still in the mix.

It seems that Joshua Moore has been lost in the shuffle even though he is likely to start at the “Z” receiver spot. Moore has seven career receptions and one touchdown in four games as a freshman. Last season Moore was suspended due to a gun charge. However, from all accounts he was a model teammate at practices during that process. Given his experience and chemistry with Sam Ehlinger likely gives him a step ahead of Black.

Moore should be the starter and make an instant impact at the wide receiver position.
