Black was a graduate transfer from Michigan and announced his commitment to Texas on April 28. The Longhorns currently have an open competition at the wideout position due to Devin Duvernay and Collin Johnson moving on to the NFL.

He appears to be fitting in with Texas immediately, even showcasing his impressive footwork throughout fall camp. At Michigan, Black dealt with foot injuries throughout his first two seasons but still managed to appear in 20 games.

Black recorded 25 receptions for 323 yards and a touchdown last season, but he’s never worked with a signal caller as talented as Sam Ehlinger. If this duo can find chemistry, he could be one of Texas’ leading receivers this season.
