Few things are as synonymous with Super Bowl Sunday than beer-whether it’s commercials, the Super Bowl parties, the pregame, the post-victory celebrations, you name it. And when thinking about the history of the Super Bowl, few brands come to mind …

1966-1969

The first three Super Bowls occurred during this Budweiser label’s era. Undoubtedly, Packers fans tipped a few back after victories in Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II, while Jets fans probably needed one (or six) of these when Joe Namath guaranteed victory in Super Bowl III, the first to carry the name ‘Super Bowl.’

Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders fans were left to pick at the corners as they stared into the Super Bowl-loss cosmos.
