No. 2 – Anthony Johnson, Iowa State
Anthony Johnson is part of an Iowa State defense which had a phenomenal day against Texas last season. Ehlinger only completed 55% of his throws that day, with Johnson having two passes defended. Johnson spent most of the day covering the Longhorns’ outside receivers.
2020 will be no different for Johnson as he will be the Cyclones’ top cornerback again next season. Going into his junior season, he has the opportunity to establish himself as the top corner in the Big 12. Whoever lines as the X-receiver for Texas will have their hands full on Nov. 21.
