Texas head coach Tom Herman is hoping to strengthen the wide receiver group moving forward.
The most recent 2022 prospect to receive an offer from the Longhorns is four-star wide receiver Evan Stewart out of Frisco (TX). Although it’s still early on in the recruiting cycle, Stewart earned a four star rating in 247Sports’ first release of the 2022 class rankings.
Stewart is currently the No. 15 overall player in the state of Texas. The 6-foot playmaker is also listed as the 98th overall player in the country.
As a sophomore at Liberty High School in 2019, Stewart compiled 43 catches for 757 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s already received offers from top programs such as Auburn, Baylor, Kansas and Texas.
Texas is no stranger to two-sport athletes. Stewart also excels in track and field, where he participates in the 200 meters, long jump, and triple jump.
