Not only the best game in Texas program history, it’s one of college football’s most talked about matchups. It remains the highest-rated BCS game in TV history.

The 2006 Rose Bowl served as the BCS National Championship Game for the 2005 season. It featured the only two unbeaten teams and was a back-and-forth contest.

Texas knocked off the two-time defending National Champions with quarterback Vince Young’s fourth-down, game-winning touchdown scramble.
