2008 – Texas vs. Oklahoma
One of the most entertaining Red River Rivalry matchups to date. Oklahoma entered the contest as the No. 1 team in the nation, while Texas was then-ranked at No. 5.
Hype always surrounds this particular rivalry, but when both teams come into the meeting with undefeated records and each ranked in the top 10, the excitement increases drastically.
Texas upset Oklahoma in this high-scoring game. Although they trailed by 11 twice in the first half and by eight in the third quarter, Texas took control late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Sooners 45-35.
This was also one of the most iconic moments of wide receiver Jordan Shipley’s collegiate career, as he returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.
