2009 – Texas vs. Ohio State
The 2009 Fiesta Bowl is one of the biggest postseason wins in Texas history.
The Longhorns had a legitimate chance to compete in the 2009 BCS National Championship Game. Due to an unfortunate loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, it was the Sooners who took on the Florida Gators in college football’s biggest game.
Quarterback Colt McCoy accounted for three touchdowns in the second half, including a game-winning drive with under two minutes left in the fourth quarter. McCoy found wide receiver Quan Cosby in the endzone with just 16 seconds remaining to defeat the Buckeyes 24-21.
