Another DE stands out

Over the course of the first week or so of training camp practices it was Bryan Cox Jr. standing out from a depth pass rusher sense. Instead during the scrimmage, another one did: Mike Love.

Kind of overlooked so far throughout camp, several outlets including 13WHAM-TV reported two sacks out of Love on Thursday. In an important note, those came against Allen and the first-team offensive line, so you’ve really got to give it up to Love. Could he be a sneaky pick for the roster? In addition, WIVB also mentioned a battled pass out of depth edge defender Darryl Johnson Jr. The team’s website mentions a sack out of Jerry Hughes and another from Quinton Jefferson as well… along with total dominance from Buffalo’s first-team D-line against the backup offensive line.

All of these reports shouldn’t come as a surprise. The Bills are entering next season with some of the best depth on their D-line in the entire NFL.
