Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Washington Wizards (31-36) drop by Bankers Life Fieldhouse Saturday for a 7 p.m. ET game with the host Indiana Pacers (31-35). Below, we analyze the Wizards-Pacers odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Washington has alternated wins and losses over its last five games with the latest being a 131-129 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors Thursday. The Wizards are 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 games.

Indiana upset the Atlanta Hawks 133-126 as a 6-point home underdog Thursday but is just 2-4 straight up and against the spread across the last six games.

The Pacers were crushed 154-141 by the Wizards earlier this week and are trying to avoid the three-game season sweep by Washington.

Wizards at Pacers: Odds, spread and lines

  • Against the spread/ATS: Wizards -3.5 (-110) | Pacers +3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 248.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Wizards at Pacers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 131, Pacers 119

Money line (ML)

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Wizards (-160) since Washington’s late-game turnovers can cost them an ATS win (like in the previous game with Toronto).

Also, I’d entertain including Washington’s money line in a parlay with another similarly priced favorite for a plus-money payout.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

“LEAN” to the WIZARDS -3.5 (-110) for three-fourths of a unit since these teams are heading in opposite directions with Washington playing far better.

This is probably a play-in preview unless the Wizards can overtake the banged-up Charlotte Hornets for eighth in the East, but Washington has outplayed Indiana in the first two meetings and is playing better currently.

The Wizards had their way with the Pacers the other night and, aside from the obvious standouts (SG Bradley Beal and PG Russell Westbrook), PF Rui Hachimura abused Indiana’s soft interior defense.

Hachimura had 27 points on 12-for-19 shooting and there’s no reason to think that doesn’t continue Saturday because Hachimura’s mid-range game is impressive and the Pacers give up the most points in the paint per game.

Indiana also gives up the most second-chance points per game and Washington is scoring the most second-chance points per game over the last 10 games.

Over/Under (O/U)

This total (248.5) is out of my comfort zone and maybe this feeling costs me money in the long run but, in this spot, I’ll just PASS.

There’s nothing Indiana’s defense can do to stop Washington and the Wizards have gone whole weeks without playing defense so the Under is a no-go.

Washington Wizards at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Washington Wizards at Milwaukee Bucks NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Washington Wizards (30-35) visit Cream City for an 8 p.m. ET game with the Milwaukee Bucks (41-24) at Fiserv Forum Wednesday. Below, we analyze the Wizards-Bucks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Washington has won three of its last four games and 11 of the past 13 while going 11-2 against the spread. The Wizards are the 10-seed in the Eastern Conference and have propelled into postseason play-in territory with their recent hot streak.

Milwaukee has won three straight games and four of its past five including back-to-back wins over the first-place Brooklyn Nets Sunday and Tuesday. The Bucks are third in the East and 3 games back of the Nets.

The Bucks won each of the first two meetings with the Wizards this season but each team has covered the spread once.

Wizards at Bucks: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 2:25 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Wizards +135 (bet $100 to win $135) | Bucks -160 (bet $160 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Wizards +3.5 (-110) | Bucks -3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 243.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)

Wizards at Bucks: Key injuries

Wizards at Bucks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 122, Bucks 117

Money line (ML)

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Wizards (+135) because I “like” Washington plus the points but the Bucks are starting to play their best ball of the season down the stretch, hence two straight wins over the Nets.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

BET the WIZARDS +3.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Both the Bucks and the Wizards have a sub-.500 record against teams in the top 10 of net efficiency. Milwaukee has slightly better net efficiency, but Washington has performed better against expectations.

According to CleaningTheGlass.com, the Wizards have the fifth-best spread differential against teams in the top-10 of net efficiency and the Bucks have the third-worst spread differential.

Also, the “reverse line movement” of this game is insane. According to Pregame.com, this game opened with Milwaukee laying 7 points and more money has been wagered on the Bucks to cover yet the line has been steamed down to Wizards +3.5 (-110).

How does that even make sense? Not to go all conspiracy theory but the only explanation for this line movement is bookmakers want more pro-Bucks money. Typically, sports bettors don’t want to play into the House’s hands.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS with a “lean” to the Under 243.5 (-105) based on the simple logic this total is too high and the market is barreling into the Over.

What keeps my money in the wallet is the past seven Wizards-Bucks games have gone Over the total and both teams play at a top-3 pace.

Indiana Pacers at Washington Wizards odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Indiana Pacers at Washington Wizards NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Indiana Pacers (30-33) are in the nation’s capital Monday for a 7 p.m. ET tip-off with the Washington Wizards (29-35) at Capital One Arena. Below, we analyze the Pacers-Wizards odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Indiana bounced back from back-to-back losses to crush the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder 152-95 Saturday. The Pacers are 4-3 straight up and 3-4 against the spread over the past two weeks.

Washington lost a 125-124 heartbreaker at the Dallas Mavericks Saturday following two straight wins. They covered the spread as 3.5-point underdogs against the Mavs for a third consecutive ATS win. The Wizards won and covered eight of their last 10 games.

The Wizards took down the Pacers 132-124 in their first meeting of the season (March 29). Prior to that game, Indiana won and covered five of its previous six games with Washington.

The 9-seed Pacers are 1.5 games in front of the Wizards and both are chasing the eighth-place Charlotte Hornets because the 7- and 8-seeds get two games to clinch a playoff berth via the postseason play-in tournament.

Pacers at Wizards: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 11:30 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Pacers +125 (bet $100 to win $125) | Wizards -150 (bet $150 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Pacers +3 (-110) | Wizards -3 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 245.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Pacers at Wizards: Key injuries

Pacers

  • Myles Turner (toe) out
  • SG Edmond Sumner (knee) probable
  • Goga Bitadze (ankle) questionable
  • PG Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) questionable
  • SG Jeremy Lamb (knee) questionable

Wizards

  • None.

Pacers at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 126, Pacers 116

Money line (ML)

PASS because I “like” Washington to cover but the Wizards (-150) are just too pricey for an outright victory.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

BET the WIZARDS -3 (-110) for 1 unit because they are one of the hotter teams in the Association and the Pacers have several contributors either out of the lineup or compromised by injury.

Furthermore, Washington scores the sixth-most points in the paint per game while Indiana gives up the second-most paint points per game and has a banged-up frontcourt.

Also, Wizards PG Russell Westbrook‘s uptick in production and performance has helped propel the Wizards on their current playoff push and he lights up Brogdon in their head-to-head history.

Westbrook and Brogdon have played each other six times and Westbrook averaged 24.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 10.5 assists per game in those meetings while Brogdon put up 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

Over/Under (O/U)

“LEAN” to the UNDER 245.5 (-105) for a half unit because both teams play an uptempo style but neither is very efficient in the fast-break.

Washington plays at the fastest pace and Indiana is fifth in pace; however, the Wizards are just 24th in fast-break points per game. While the Pacers average the second-most fast-break points per game, Washington’s defense is fourth in fast-break points allowed per game.

Finally, with bookmakers projecting a high-scoring game, scoring could peter out in garbage time if one of the teams goes on a scoring drought for a quarter or the other team gets out to a huge lead.

Washington Wizards at Dallas Mavericks odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Washington Wizards at Dallas Mavericks NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Washington Wizards (29-34) visit American Airlines Center Saturday for a 9 p.m. ET tip-off against the Dallas Mavericks (35-27). Below, we analyze the Wizards-Mavericks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Washington is one of the hottest teams in the Association as winners of two straight and 10 of its last 11 games (9-2 against the spread).

The Wizards have propelled to the 10-seed in the Eastern Conference. They’re 3 games ahead of the Chicago Bulls for the final postseason play-in spot.

Dallas has also won back-to-back games while going 5-1 straight up and 4-2 ATS in its last six contests. The Mavs are a half-game in front of the Portland Trail Blazers for the 6-seed in the West and are hoping to avoid the play-in.

Dallas routed a Bradley Beal-less Washington 109-87 as a 6-point road favorite in the first meeting this season. It snapped a three-game ATS losing skid against the Wizards.

Wizards at Mavericks: Odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:35 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Wizards +165 (bet $100 to win $165) | Mavericks -200 (bet $200 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Wizards +5 (-110) | Mavericks -5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 231.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Wizards at Mavericks: Key injuries

Wizards

  • None.

Wizards at Mavericks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 120, Mavericks 110

Money line (ML)

Slight “LEAN” to the WIZARDS (+165) for a quarter unit because I “like” Washington plus the points and the Mavs have a soft interior defense the Wizards can feast on.

Washington led the league in April in points in the paint per game and Beal—who didn’t play in the first Wizards-Mavericks meeting—was third in PITP per game for April.

And, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, the Mavs are 22nd in defensive field-goal percentage vs. shots at the rim.

With Beal being one of the most prolific scorers in the mid-range and PG Russell Westbrook one of the most aggressive players in recent history at attacking the rim, the Wizards should tear up the Mavs’ defense.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Definitely BET the WIZARDS +5 (-110) heavier than or instead of Washington’s money line.

This is a “better spot” for the Wizards who are 9-3 ATS when getting 5-7 points while the Mavs are 4-7 ATS when laying points in that range.

Also, Dallas is an awful 8-14 ATS as a home favorite with a minus-5.9 ATS margin, 2-11 ATS at home when playing teams with a losing record and Washington is 18-12 ATS as a road dog this year.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS because my predicted score is only 1.5 points above BetMGM‘s projected total and there isn’t enough value for me to bet the Over.

Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Friday’s Washington Wizards at Cleveland Cavaliers NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Washington Wizards (28-34) travel to meet the Cleveland Cavaliers (21-41) Friday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Tip-off is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Wizards-Cavaliers odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Wizards belted the Los Angeles Lakers 116-107 Wednesday, winning for the ninth time in 10 games while covering for the eighth time during the span. They hit the Under against the Lakers to snap a 3-0 Over run, which included a 119-110 home win over the Cavs Sunday.

The Cavaliers lost at home to the Orlando Magic by a 109-104 score, failing as 3.5-point favorites. The game wasn’t even really that close as Cleveland outscored Orlando 43-27 in the fourth quarter to make things respectable.

Wizards at Cavaliers: Odds, spread and lines

Wizards at Cavaliers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 123, Cavaliers 108

Money line (ML)

The Wizards (-275) are quite expensive and are just too risky despite the fact they topped the Cavaliers 119-110 Sunday in D.C. The Cavs have lost four in a row and seven of the previous eight.

AVOID.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The WIZARDS -6.5 (-110) covered as 7.5-point favorites vs. the Cavaliers Sunday. The red-hot Wiz will get it done on the road against a Cavaliers team, which is limping to the finish line. Washington still has hope for a playoff spot, especially since it is 9-1 SU/8-2 ATS across the past 10 overall.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 226.5 (-110) is worth playing here. The Over cashed in the previous meeting, and the Over has hit in three of the past four outings overall for the Wiz.

Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Los Angeles Lakers at Washington Wizards NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Los Angeles Lakers (36-25) travel to meet the Washington Wizards (27-34) Tuesday at Capital One Arena. Tip-off is set for a 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Lakers-Wizards odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Lakers picked up a 114-103 victory in Orlando Monday, pushing against the number as the Over came through. All five starters and one player off the bench had 10 or more points in a balanced attack.

The Wizards were on the short end of a 146-143 overtime loss against San Antonio Monday night, narrowly missing a cover as 2.5-point underdogs. Bradley Beal led the charge with 45 points on 20-for-37 shooting, while Russell Westbrook had a triple-double with 22 points, 14 assists and 13 rebounds.

Lakers at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 119, Lakers 115

Money line (ML)

The WIZARDS (+125) are a solid play as short ‘dogs at home. They won the first meeting Feb. 22 in Los Angeles by a 127-124 score in overtime as seven-point underdogs. While the Lakers did not have Anthony Davis in the lineup that day, LeBron was still healthy and playing.

Washington is playing much better lately, winning eight of the past nine, going 7-2 ATS.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The WIZARDS +3 (-110) are the play here, although they’re a much better play straight up on the money line unless you think the Lakers -3 (-110) are going to win by a bucket or less.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 223.5 (-110) is the way to go here. Washington is on a 3-0 Over run, averaging a ridiculous 130.3 PPG. The Wizards have allowed 107 or more points in five straight. The first meeting saw a total of 251 points in an overtime win by the Wizards as the Over easily hit, too.

San Antonio Spurs at Washington Wizards odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s San Antonio Spurs at Washington Wizards NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The San Antonio Spurs (30-29) travel to meet the Washington Wizards (27-33) Monday at Capital One Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Spurs-Wizards odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Spurs’ second game of a four-game road trip is against the red-hot Wizards. San Antonio nipped the New Orleans Pelicans 110-108 as a three-point underdog Saturday as the Under connected. The Under is a perfect 6-0 over the Spurs’ past six outings.

The Wizards won their eighth consecutive game Sunday, beating the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers 119-110. It’s Washington’s first win streak of eight games or more since 2001 when Michael Jordan was on the roster. Washington is also 7-1 ATS during the win streak.

Spurs at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Spurs 116, Wizards 110

Money line (ML)

The SPURS (-135) are worth a play as, in this case for the Wizards, all good things must come to an end. The Wizards were destroyed 121-101 in San Antonio back on Jan. 24 as 5.5-point underdogs. Washington is playing exponentially better lately, but San Antonio has been hot, too, and will snap the Wizards’ win streak.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The SPURS -2 (-110) have covered four of the past five, and they’re 6-1 ATS in their past seven games away from home.

The Wizards have had difficulties against the Spurs over the years, going 7-21 ATS across the past 28 meetings, and 4-9 ATS in the past 13 at home in the head-to-head series.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 229.5 (-110) is the best play on the board in this NBA game.

The Under is 6-1 in Washington’s past seven at home and 5-2 in its past seven overall. The Under is also 7-2 in its past nine as an underdog.

For San Antonio, the Under is on a 6-0 run. This game won’t be mistaken for a defensive slog, but it won’t go over 230 points, either.

The Cavaliers head into the game with losses in four of the past five outings, including a 108-102 loss at the Charlotte Hornets Friday. Cleveland is also just 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in those five games.

The Wizards roll in on a seven-game win streak. They are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference all of a sudden – good enough for the final spot in the play-in tournament – and just three games back of the eighth-place Hornets. Washington has covered six of its past seven, and nine of its past 11, too.

It’s hard to believe, but Cleveland and Washington haven’t yet met this season. They had two postponements due to COVID-19 issues and will face each other twice in six days, and three times before May 14.

Cavaliers at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 120, Cavaliers 104

Money line (ML)

The Wizards (-400) will cost you four times your potential return. While they’re red-hot and should paste the skidding Cavaliers, that’s still too much risk. Plus, this is exactly the kind of game Cleveland has been winning all season. The Cavs win when they’re not supposed to, and lose when they should be in line for a win. The Cavs are very erratic.

PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

The WIZARDS -9 (-110) are the more consistent team lately, by far, rattling off seven straight wins with six covers. Yes, a few of the games have been against the dregs of the league, including two against OKC. However, they also had nice road wins in Utah and Sacramento, and a home win against Golden State as 2-point underdogs.

The Cavaliers have played well in this type of spot, but don’t let that dissuade you from backing the better team, and right now that’s easily Washington.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 228.5 (-110) is the way to go. Washington has rolled up 121.7 points per game (PPG) during its seven-game win streak, and it is allowing just 107.5 PPG across the past four.

While the Wiz are scoring mad points, the Cavaliers are struggling to put the ball in the bucket, and that’s what is driving this Under play here. With the exception of a 121-point explosion against the Chicago Bulls Wednesday, the Cavs have scored 105 or fewer points in five of the past six.

Golden State Warriors at Washington Wizards odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Wednesday’s Golden State Warriors at Washington Wizards NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Washington Wizards (24-33) host the Golden State Warriors (29-29) Wednesday at the Capital One Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Warriors-Wizards odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

This is the final of a five-game road swing for Golden State, who has won three of the first four (3-1 against the spread) with the latest being a 107-96 victory at the Philadelphia 76ers Monday.

Washington is on a five-game winning streak and has won seven of the last eight games (6-2 ATS), including a 110-107 win on April 9 at the Warriors as 4.5-point road underdogs.

The Wizards have beaten the Warriors in four consecutive meetings and have covered in three of those contests.

Warriors at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Warriors 119, Wizards 113

Money line (ML)

Golden State’s implied win probability based on the money line is 57.45% and with how well Steph Curry is playing right now, I think this version of the WARRIORS (-135) wins this game enough times to justify the price, which has become a bit cheaper (down from -140).

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ve heard of Curry’s offensive eruption in April.

Curry is averaging 40.8 points per game (PPG) on 75.1% true shooting with a plus-17 net rating, 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game and has pulled ahead of Wizards’ Bradley Beal for the most PPG in the NBA (31.4 PPG).

This is a max motivation spot for both teams with each vying for playoff contention and needing to stack wins down the stretch and superstars all over the floor.

Also, don’t sleep on the importance of Hachimura’s absence, who was Washington’s leading scorer in the first Warriors-Wizards meeting this season. Hachimura has a really good mid-range pull-up jumper, good size and enough skill to use up a little of Warriors Draymond Green‘s bandwidth.

Without Hachimura out there, Green can focus more of his attention on Beal and Russell Westbrook.

BET WARRIORS (-140) for 1 unit.

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS because I prefer the money line and don’t want to fuss with the points, but if you want to be cheap the Warriors -2 (-110) works as well.

Golden State is 4-2 ATS when laying 1-2.5 points and 6-4 ATS as a road favorite with a plus-5.3-point ATS margin and Washington is 0-3 ATS when getting spotted 1-2.5 points.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight “LEAN” to the UNDER 238.5 (-105) for a quarter unit because the first Warriors-Wizards meeting this season went Under the total by 23 points and the market hasn’t adjusted enough.

Personally, I have this total in the lower 230s. But, I’ll concede that this game has a good chance of going Over since Curry is on fire, Westbrook is averaging a triple-double since March and Beal is awesome.

The Pistons beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 110-104 Friday night to snap a three-game losing streak. They have the worst road record in the league at 7-23 but did go 2-3 on their most recent five-game road trip.

Washington also played Friday night and beat the New Orleans Pelicans 117-115. They have won three games in a row and five of their last six games. They in the mix for the 10th seed and play-in games for the postseason. They are percentage points behind the Toronto Raptors.

Pistons at Wizards: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Wizards 115, Pistons 105

Money line (ML)

The Pistons are awful on the road, having won only seven games on the season. Washington isn’t great at home at 11-16 but has been victorious in four of their last six contests. With how poorly the Pistons have played on the road this season, it wouldn’t be a smart bet to go with them. Take the WIZARDS -160.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Pistons are surprisingly good against the spread this season. They are 30-24-2 ATS, Washington is 29-26 ATS. Both teams have covered the spread in their last three games, but the Wizards are 6-1 ATS in their last seven. Because there is only a 3.5-point spread, an even better value than taking the Wizards on the money line is to take WIZARDS -3.5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

In both their previous games against each other, they have finished Under the total. Four of the last five for the Pistons have gone Under and seven of the last 10 for the Wizards have also gone Under. Stick with the trend. Take UNDER 226.5 POINTS (-110).
