UGA football projected to land commitment from 4-star WR

The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to add a commitment from the fourth-best recruit in Illinois

The Georgia Bulldogs are projected to add a commitment from four-star wide receiver recruit Talyn Taylor. Taylor, who is a member of the class of 2025, plays high school football for Geneva Community High School in Geneva, Illinois.

Steve Wiltfong of On3 projects that Taylor will commit to the Bulldogs. Taylor is ranked as the No. 109 recruit in the country and the No. 13 wide receiver. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver is the fourth-ranked prospect in Illinois, per 247Sports.

In 2022, Taylor recorded 801 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Taylor displays excellent body control and is capable of winning jump balls.

The four-star has recently visited Georgia and Ohio State. The Geneva Community standout has upcoming visits scheduled with Michigan (April 7) and Notre Dame (April 6). Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart are still looking for their first wide receiver commitment in the class of 2025.

Georgia football currently has the No. 16 recruiting class in the country with five total commitments.

Ohio State football to host 2025 Illinois wide receiver later this month

The Buckeyes won’t give up in the Land of Lincoln

The list of recruiting visitors continues to grow by the day for the Ohio State football program, and on Sunday you can add another name.

Illinois wide receiver [autotag]Talyn Taylor[/autotag] has set up four visits this spring, with Columbus one of the destinations. The 6-foot and 165-pound pass catcher is ranked as the No. 13 receiver and 110th overall prospect by the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Taylor will start his spring school tours by stopping at Georgia, then Ohio State, followed by Notre Dame and Michigan. Unfortunately, the Buckeyes have not had the best recruiting luck when it comes to prospects from Illinois, as they have missed Justin Scott, Marquise Lightfoot and Chris Burgess Jr. in the last few cycles.

Ohio State will look to change that with Taylor, as they look to impress the slot receiver during his visit.

Top 2025 WR target sets spring Michigan football visit

Gotta make a strong impression! #GoBlue

One position that Michigan football has recruited pretty well in recent years is wide receiver. However, the issue hasn’t been getting guys to campus as much as it has been retaining them — whether it be at the position or at the school, as it were.

The Wolverines have brought in some talented wideouts, but several have left in recent years. Amorion Walker (who had converted to cornerback) and Darrius Clemons — both in the 2022 class — departed via the transfer portal. Xavier Worthy had signed but ended up being released from his letter of intent and went on to star at Texas. In 2019, U-M brought in Mike Sainristil and he was promising at wideout, but made the historic switch to nickel back in 2022, and became perhaps Michigan’s most impactful player on that side of the ball since Charles Woodson.

A new name is considering the maize and blue and will make it to campus in April, according to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu — but the Wolverines will have some strong competition. According to Trieu, Talyn Taylor — a four-star wideout from Geneva (Ill.) Community — will visit Michigan football on April 7.

A 2025 prospect, Taylor is the No. 110 player in the country per the 247Sports Composite. Michigan won’t have sole access to him that weekend, as he will visit Notre Dame on Saturday before coming to Ann Arbor on Sunday. Of course, he visits Georgia two weeks prior and Ohio State the following week.

Taylor has offers from other big-time schools such as Alabama, Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, and USC.
