Watch: Tyler Higbee ends TD drought with his first score of the season

Tyler Higbee went 13 games without a touchdown, but he finally found the end zone on Monday night against the Packers

Tyler Higbee and Diontae Johnson were the only players in the NFL this season with 50-plus catches and zero touchdowns. Higbee finally ended his scoring drought on Monday night against the Packers with his first touchdown of the season.

He caught an 8-yarder from Baker Mayfield in the third quarter, pulling the Rams to within 12 points of the Packers. It was also Mayfield’s 100th career touchdown pass.

Prior to that touchdown catch, Higbee had 55 catches for 474 yards on the season.

That was Higbee’s 18th touchdown reception, which ties him for the Rams’ all-time lead for a tight end with Damone Johnson.

Rams injury report: Allen out, Robinson and Higbee questionable vs. Chiefs

The Rams will once again be without Brian Allen, while Allen Robinson and 4 others are listed as questionable

In addition to being without Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp, the Los Angeles Rams will be missing at least one other starter this week against the Kansas City Chiefs. Sean McVay told reporters on Friday that Brian Allen has been ruled out with a thumb injury that kept him out of practice all week. Travin Howard has also been ruled out with a hip injury.

A few other players are uncertain to play, as well. Allen Robinson, Brian Allen, Tyler Higbee, Matt Skura and Ty Nsekhe are all questionable; each of them started for the Rams in Week 11 against the Saints.

McVay said Nsekhe could be a game-time decision, and A.J. Arcuri is someone who could replace him at left tackle if he’s unavailable.

For the Chiefs, Chris Lammons, Juan Thornhill and Joe Thuney are all questionable, while Kadarius Toney has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Pierce is the centerpiece of the Texans offense, and the Commanders run defense has been routinely shredded. All it takes is one drive to get in deep and Pierce can punch his own ticket. The public must agree because Pierce’s odds have been steamed up from +120.

Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Ryan OVER 232.5 passing yards (-125)

– Host Eagles, Sunday 1 p.m. ET (CBS)

The Colts are the unfortunate team to draw the Eagles first after their perfect season went by the boards. There’s typically a price to pay for the unfortunate team that faces an elite team that is angry and looking to right the ship.

Anyone who knows Ryan’s history knows that he does his best job as a fantasy quarterback when his team gets beat. The Eagles could get a double-digit lead early and try to milk it in the second half.

Ryan has made a living padding his passing stats at garbage time. It won’t be pretty, but it will be effective enough to win. This number has been steamed up from 227.5 so act fast.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon OVER 66.5 rushing yards (-115)

– At Steelers, Sunday 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS)

The Bengals are known more this season for throwing than running, but they are still trying to recover from a slow start that began with the Week 1 loss to the Steelers. They’re also trying to find an identity with WR Ja’Marr Chase (hip) out again.

The Bengals offense should be able to push around the injury-depleted Steelers defense. If Cincy gets a lead early, Mixon should get 20 carries. If he gets anywhere close to that total, he should blow past this number.

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen OVER 46.5 receiving yards (-115)

– Host Cowboys, Sunday 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS)

The Cowboys play an aggressive defense, but one thing that can be expected is that Justin Jefferson is going to see double coverage on most his routes.

That will put the pressure on Thielen and T.J. Hockenson to make up the difference because both will in single coverage all day.

Kirk Cousins has been finding Hockenson often, but his history with Thielen will be critical in this game. Four receptions should accomplish this.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee UNDER 42.5 receiving yards (-115)

– At Saints, Sunday 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

Matthew Stafford is expected back, but the Rams offense hasn’t been using Higbee to the same degree it has early in the season.

Due to injuries on the offensive line, Rams tight ends have been forced to serve as blockers more than receivers.

With Stafford coming off a concussion, Job One will be to keep him safe. Higbee will likely require 5 catches to hit this number, and that may be a tall order.

Here’s a look at some start/sit decisions in Week 11 of fantasy football.

After we saw two rookie wide receivers explode in primetime on Thursday night, it’s time to take a look at some tough start/sit decisions fantasy football manager will have to face in Week 11.

Teams on a bye in Week 11 include the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks.

Doing start/sit articles can be a little challenging. The players featured on the list below should not be taken as “must starts” or “must sits.” Instead, these are more suggestions on what we believe managers should do with fringe players heading into the weekend. The choice is ultimately up to the manager.

Just because a player is listed as a “start” doesn’t mean he should be put in the lineup over the secure, bona fide studs. Vice versa for the “sits.” If there’s no better option on the waiver wire or the bench, a manager shouldn’t automatically sit the player. That’s why these can be tricky waters to navigate.

5 Rams to watch in Week 10 vs. Cardinals

The Rams will host the Cardinals in Week 10 and we have 5 players to watch on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams will be hosting the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi Stadium in Week 10 in an NFC West showdown. Both teams are desperately seeking a win with the Rams having a 3-5 record and the Cardinals being at the bottom of the division with a 3-6 record.

Los Angeles and Arizona squared off in Week 3, with the Rams coming away with a 20-12 win on the road. The Rams are now on a three-game winning streak against the Cardinals and they’ve won 11 of the last 12 meetings (including last year’s 34-11 victory in the wild-card round).

Despite Los Angeles having Arizona’s number in recent years, we know that this hasn’t been a typical year under Sean McVay. With the Rams needing a win in the worst way, here are five players to watch in Sunday’s matchup with the Cardinals.

Matthew Stafford takes blame for Tyler Higbee’s crucial fourth-quarter drop vs. 49ers

Tyler Higbee had a crucial late-game drop vs. the 49ers, but Matthew Stafford believes he could have made a better pass.

The Los Angeles Rams had a pivotal third-down play in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers where Tyler Higbee dropped a wide-open pass from Matthew Stafford. Despite many faulting Higbee for the drop, Stafford shouldered the blame for the dropped pass after the game.

Higbee took responsibility for the drop, saying that he has to make the play. It was a rough outing for the veteran tight end as he hauled in only two of his six targets for 15 yards in the lopsided defeat at home.

The play occurred in the fourth quarter with the Rams being down 24-14. Stafford rolled to the left and delivered a pass to Higbee on third-down-and-three and it hit the tight end in the hands, but he failed to bring the ball to his body to complete the catch.

Following Higbee’s drop, the Rams would punt the ball and the 49ers would drive down the field to score a touchdown that would put the game well out of reach. Even though Higbee struggled on Sunday, Stafford and the Rams have plenty of confidence in him moving forward.

Studs and duds from Rams’ 17-point loss to 49ers

Leonard Floyd and Cooper Kupp produced positive performances in the Rams’ 31-14 loss to the 49ers in Week 8.

The Los Angeles Rams just can’t seem to beat the San Francisco 49ers during the regular season. The Rams would fall to their division rivals in Week 8 as the 49ers would outscore them 24-0 after Los Angeles jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.

With the loss on Sunday, the Rams are now 3-4 and have sole possession of the No. 3 spot in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks won and San Francisco defeated Los Angeles in Week 8, putting them ahead of the reigning Super Bowl champions in the division race thus far.

Following the 31-14 defeat at home, here are the studs and duds from Sunday’s divisional showdown.

Tyler Higbee suffers neck injury in 1st quarter vs. 49ers, questionable to return

Tyler Higbee exited the game for the Rams in the 1st quarter vs. the 49ers and he is questionable to return.

As if the Los Angeles Rams didn’t have enough injuries, they sustained another injury to an offensive player in Sunday’s matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. In the first quarter against the 49ers, Tyler Higbee suffered a neck injury and is questionable to return.

The veteran tight end looked to have sustained the neck injury after taking a hit from a defender in the first quarter. With Higbee questionable to return, Brycen Hopkins is likely going to see more playing time for the Rams with Kendall Blanton not active in Sunday’s game versus the 49ers.

Update: Higbee returned in the second quarter.
