Tied at 14, Texas Tech drove all the way down to the three-yard line. Texas was able to stop the Red Raider offense on four straight plays.

After the Longhorns tied the game at 14, Texas Tech went on a long drive all the way to the Texas three-yard line. The Longhorns were able to stop the Red Raider offense on four straight plays, forcing a turnover on downs.

The defense stuffed runs by Jax Welch on first down and SaRodorick Thompson on second and third down to set up 4th and goal from the Texas one-yard line. On fourth down, Jett Duffey threw a fade route to wide receiver T.J. Vasher. Freshman corner back Kenyatta Watson II was in on the coverage, forcing the incompletion.

The 75-yard score tied up the game at 21 in what has been a back-and-forth matchup thus far.

Nearly halfway through the second quarter, Texas Tech quarterback Jeff Duffey found wide receiver Erik Ezukanma once again for a touchdown. This TD marks the second of the game for Duffey. But Carter brought this touchdown in with some fashion. The Texas DB definitely got “Mossed.”

The score currently sits at 21-14 in favor of Texas Tech.

After going down 14-0 early to the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Texas Longhorns have surged back and tied the game at 14. After a few big plays courtesy of Sam Ehlinger, Malcolm Epps, and Roschon Johnson, junior running back Daniel Young was able to punch it in for the equalizing touchdown. After Young got six, Sam Ehlinger hit star wide receiver Devin Duvernay for the two-point conversion to tie it up.

It looks like that spark has come in the form of a big Malcolm Epps reception to move the chains. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger had plenty of time in the pocket and delivered a ball on the money to Malcolm Epps, who climbed the ladder to snag the ball away from defenders. Going down 14-0, Texas finally was able to get some points on the board against Texas Tech. You can watch Sam Ehlinger’s touchdown here.

After going down 14-0 early to Texas Tech, the Longhorn offense was finally able to get on the board in the first quarter. Coming into today, it had been four consecutive games without a touchdown in the opening quarter for Texas.

After a Roschon Johnson 44 yard rush and a Malcolm Epps 36 yard reception, Texas got all the way down to the Texas Tech 10 yard line. On 3rd and 2, quarterback Sam Ehlinger took the snap and powered his way into the endzone.
