While Texas has been hot on the recruiting trail, they have also experienced some major attrition.
This comes as no surprise as Steve Sarkisian and even Bo Davis in the leaked video on the bus after the Iowa State, made it very clear that they expected there to be quite a few players that would not be returning next season.
Texas was plagued by the utter disaster of what were the 2018 and 2019 classes, and Sarkisian emphasized the importance of bringing in as many as 33 new players this offseason.
One of the 10 players that entered their name into the transfer portal was linebacker Terrance Cooks, who took to Twitter on Monday night to announce that he will be transferring to TCU.

Like majority of the players that have entered their name in the portal from Texas thus far, Cooks was someone who was not a contributor as the former four-star freshman out of Pearland, Texas did not register a single stat. He is also the second former Longhorn to transfer within the Big 12 as Tyler Owens transferred to Texas Tech.
It was not a surprise that Cooks entered his name into the portal, as the linebacker position group was fairly full, and players like DeMarvion Overshown and Ovie Oghoufo both decided to come back for next season.
Cooks will now have a chance to impress at TCU, who is now lead by Sonny Dykes after the firing of Gary Patterson.
