While the All-Star has had solid overall numbers, his road record is just 10-8-1 with a 2.93 GAA and .909 save percentage away from home. He’s also just 2-3-0 with a 3.74 GAA and .876 save percentage in five starts against Atlantic Division teams this season.

Rask has a sparkling 18-4-6 record, 2.23 GAA and .927 save percentage across 29 outings this season. He has been especially impenetrable at home, going 10-0-6 with a 2.20 GAA and .926 save percentage with each of his two shutouts coming at TD Garden in 16 starts.

The Bruins (-223) are heavy favorites at home despite the fact they’re facing a fellow first-place team in the Canucks (+180). However, Vancouver has managed a 1-4 record in their past five against Atlantic Division foes, and they’re 2-5 in the past seven games in the third game of a 3-in-4 (three games in four days) situation. Still, this is a tad bit too much chalk to eat, so look to the puck line.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The BRUINS (-1.5, +130) are a better value on home ice where Rask has been particularly outstanding. Conversely, the Canucks (+1.5, -154) have struggled against Atlantic Division foes, and Markstrom’s record on the road and against Atlantic teams is documented above. All trends point to a B’s uprising at home.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 5.5 (-129) is the play here, although I wouldn’t go crazy straight up. However, a nice parlay with the B’s on the puck line and the over will fetch a tidy little return. The over has cashed in six of the past seven meetings in this series, and four straight at TD Garden. The over is also 8-2 in the past 10 games for the Canucks on the road and 5-0 in the past five vs. Eastern Conference teams. The over is 5-2-1 in the past eight against winning teams, and 5-0-1 in the past six when working on two days of rest.

Philadelphia (-110) has won and covered all three games against Boston (-110) so far this season, including a 109-98 victory keyed by a 32-18 fourth quarter by the  76ers. They have really struggled away from home this season, going 1-10 as an away underdog, but their one win was Dec. 12 against the Celtics.

The 76ers are slightly better than the Celtics in games bookmakers project will be close. Philadelphia is 4-3-1 when getting 1-2.5 points and Boston is 2-3 when laying between those numbers. Finally, the 76ers play a tad better against division rivals than the Celtics. Philadelphia is 9-3 and Boston has a 6-5 record against Atlantic Division teams.

BET 76ERS (-110).

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

No reason to fret about 1.5 points either way, in my opinion. Just stick with the 76ers’ moneyline bet and PASS on the spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

Both teams are elite defensively and play at a moderate tempo. Philadelphia is ranked third in defensive rating and 18th in Pace, while Boston is ranked fourth in defensive rating and 17th in Pace.

The Under is 5-0 in the Celtics’ last five games and 7-0 in the 76ers’ last seven games as an underdog. The absence of Walker puts the Celtics without their leading scorer. The way I see the game playing is Philadelphia keeping the pace slow and pounding the interior with its size advantage. Embiid and Horford can use their size to keep Celtics players out of the paint and run any 3-point shooters off the line.

The CELTICS (-11.5, -125) have cashed in four of their past five games overall, and they’re also 4-1 ATS in the past five while working on one day of rest. On the flip side, the Warriors (+11.5, +105) have registered a solid 5-0 ATS mark in their past five road games against teams with a winning home record. They’re just 10-22-1 ATS in the previous 33 games following a cover. For some reason, the Dubs have long had a case of the Thursdays, going 7-19 ATS in the past 26 on this particular day of the week.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 221.5 (-106) is the way to go. The Over has cashed in four straight for the Dubs, while hitting the Over in four straight as underdogs, too. The Over is 6-1 in the past seven appearances on Thursdays.

For the C’s, while the Under has hit in four straight overall, the Over is 5-2 in their past seven games and 9-3 in their past 12 showings on Thursday.

Halak allowed three goals on 27 shots in the loss, playing 58:48, so it’s uncertain if Cassidy turns to Rask if he is cleared.

Moneyline (ML)

It’s one of my favorite wagers every season, even when the AVALANCHE (+125) haven’t been very good. Colorado enters with a 5-1 mark across the past six against the Bruins (-154), while the Avs are 10-1 in the past 11 trips to Boston.

Puck Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

Since I’m backing the underdog, there is no sense betting the spread. The Avalanche (+1.5, -209) is just too expensive, and the Bruins (-1.5, +170) isn’t worth a play since I like Colorado to continue their winning ways in Boston.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 5.5 (-150) is worth a small-unit bet, as Grubauer and Rask are likely to face plenty of shots in this one. The over is 5-1-1 in the past seven for Colorado on a day of rest, while the over is 4-1 in Boston’s past five against teams with a winning record over .600.
