NFL flexes Broncos vs. Lions in Week 15 to Saturday night

The Broncos’ game against the Lions in Week 15 has been flexed to Saturday night (Dec. 16) on NFL Network.

When the NFL announced the Denver Broncos’ 2023 schedule earlier this year, the team’s Week 15 showdown with the Detroit Lions had a to-be-announced date of either Dec. 16 (Saturday) or Dec. 17 (Sunday).

The NFL announced Thursday that the Broncos-Lions showdown has now been set for a 6:15 p.m. MT kickoff on Saturday, Dec. 16. The Denver-Detroit game will be part of NFL Network’s tripleheader that day.

First, the Cincinnati Bengals will host the Minnesota Vikings at 11:00 a.m. MT, then the Indianapolis Colts will host the Pittsburgh Steelers at 2:30 p.m. MT. To wrap things up at night, the Lions will host the Broncos. All three games will be nationally televised on NFL Network.

Denver is now scheduled to have back-to-back nationally televised primetime games on NFL Network from Weeks 15-16. After traveling to face the Lions, the Broncos will return home to host the New England Patriots in Week 16 at 6:15 p.m. MT on Sunday, Dec. 24.

With playoff implications on the line, Denver will be in the national spotlight as the 2023 regular season winds down in December.

Jaguars vs. Titans flexed to Saturday night in Week 18

The Jaguars are headed for primetime next weekend.

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ regular season finale Tennessee Titans to decide the AFC South champion will be played Saturday night.

Shortly after a Sunday Night Football game in Week 17, NBC announced that the de facto AFC South championship game has been flexed to Saturday at 8:15 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN.

The last time the Jaguars played a primetime game on a day other than a Thursday was a Monday Night Football loss in December 2011. While it’s a big moment for Jacksonville, it isn’t exactly welcome news for Jaguars coach Doug Pederson.

“I would love to play Sunday, obviously, to have these next couple of days, but we’ll play when they ask us or tell us to play, and our guys will be ready to go,” Pederson said hours before the announcement. “If I could pick, I would pick Sunday.”

Jacksonville currently leads the division with an 8-8 record after winning five of its last six games. The Titans dropped to 7-9 on the season when their losing streak extended to six with a loss on Thursday.

If the Jaguars win, they’ll have the only winning record in the division. If the Titans win, they’d have the tiebreaker over Jacksonville thanks to a 4-2 record in AFC South play.

The winner of the game Saturday night will host either the Baltimore Ravens or Los Angeles Chargers in the wild card round of the playoffs.

Notre Dame vs North Carolina: 3 Confidences & 3 Concerns

Through three weeks what do we know about Notre Dame? And what do they know about themselves?

Nothing comes easy. That’s the lesson rookie Notre Dame head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] is learning the hard way this September. From a competitive loss versus Ohio State, to the starting quarterback going down in a no show effort at home against Marshall, to a less than inspiring but at-least-it’s-a-win versus Cal, Notre Dame has had to fight for every inch of progress made early on in the Freeman era.

What Notre Dame team shows up to face North Carolina? Nobody knows, including Notre Dame.

While this may be unnerving to the Irish faithful, the truth is this team is struggling to find itself, its identity. Both now, and what they want it to be in the future. While ND nation sits in “wait and see” mode Saturday in Chapel Hill, I do think there is now enough body of work from Notre Dame that we can identify some key confidences and concerns to ponder leading into the game.

Detroit Lions Week 16 game versus Tampa Bay Bucs flexed to Saturday

Detroit Lions Week 16 game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been flexed to Saturday, December 26th at 1:00 p.m. EST by the NFL.

The Detroit Lions are getting another Nationally televised game but this time it’s adjacent to a holiday instead of on one.

The NFL has flexed the Lions Week 16 game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Saturday, December 26th at 1:00 p.m. EST and will be aired on the NFL Network and local broadcast stations.

The Lions will be the first of three games played that day, the NFL announced, with the San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals game airing at 4:30 pm EST, and Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders at 8:15 pm EST will wrap up the day.

After firing coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn over the weekend, this is not a game that would be typically be flexed to a national spotlight, but with Tom Brady and a loaded Buccaneers roster coming to Detroit with Playoff aspirations, the NFL jumped at an opportunity to get them some more television time.

FINAL betting odds for Florida at Vanderbilt, per BetMGM

BetMGM has Florida Gators overwhelmingly favored to win vs Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday afternoon in Nashville, Tenn. as UF rolls along

Kickoff is nearly here as the Florida Gators prepare to take the field against the Vanderbilt Commodores for some early Saturday gridiron action.

Florida looks to remain in the SEC East driver’s seat against Vandy, who has yet to win a game this year. While they will have home-field advantage for the game, that is pretty much the only leg-up they’ll have this afternoon.

BetMGM oddsmakers hold steady from the past couple of days, with the Gators a 31.5-point favorite heading up to game time, while the over/under also remains at 67.5.

The game will kick off at 12 p.m. EST in Vanderbilt Stadium, Nashville, Tenn. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, can be live-streamed on the ESPN app and can be heard on the Gators Radio Network.

Monday betting odds for Florida at Vanderbilt, per BetMGM

The opening lines on the Gators vs Commodores football game this weekend favor Florida heavily and expects a high-scoring affair.

[jwplayer 35fm0liC]

The fifth-ranked Florida Gators are coming off a huge victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks last weekend, putting up 63 points en route to one of the most impressive offensive outbursts seen at The Swamp in recent memory.

Coming up next are the Vanderbilt Commodores, a perennial doormat in the Southeastern Conference and this year is no exception. The ‘Dores are currently 0-6 and are every bit as bad as their record implies — at least in comparison to their SEC peers.

If you enjoyed Kyle Trasks‘ performance this past Saturday, you will definitely want to tune into this game, as the Gators could hang some very ugly crooked numbers on Vandy.

BetMGM oddsmakers currently list the Gators as a 30.5-point favorite and the over/under is set at 68.5 to start the week.

The game will kick off at 12 p.m. EST in Vanderbilt Stadium, Nashville, Tenn. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, can be live-streamed on the ESPN app and can be heard on the Gators Radio Network.

FINAL betting odds for Florida vs Missouri, per BetMGM

Heading into the final hours before kickoff, the Florida Gators added a half-point to the spread

Gameday is finally here and all systems appear to be “go” for this evening’s matchup between the Florida Gators and Missouri Tigers, in a game originally scheduled for last weekend but was postponed due to an outbreak of the novel coronavirus on UF’s squad.

While the virus still rages on the roster, Florida will field at least the minimum of 53 scholarship players required by the Southeastern Conference. Despite this, the Gators managed to get a half-point boost over yesterday’s numbers with mere hours remaining before kickoff.

According to BetMGM, Florida is a 14-point favorite according to BetMGM. The over/under is 61.5.

The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and it will be televised on the SEC Network.
