NFL Network broadcasting two preseason games featuring Patriots

The New England Patriots will appear on NFL Network twice during the preseason.

NFL Network released the complete schedule for the 2023 preseason, and the New England Patriots are slated to have two games on the network.

To kick things off, New England will play in Week 1 of their preseason slate on Thursday, August 10 against the Houston Texans. Then they’ll face the Tennessee Titans on Friday, August 25 in their preseason finale.

The Patriots last faced the Texans in October 2021 and came away with a nail-biting 25-22 road victory. In that same season, New England also faced and beat the Tennessee Titans by a 36-13 margin.

New England will look to fire on all cylinders this preseason with the addition of offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to the picture. These two games could be important building blocks and help set the table for the regular season.

Cowboys announce dates, times for back-and-forth preseason schedule

From @ToddBrock24f7: Dallas will play 2 of 3 preseason games at home, but with extra travel from training camp in Oxnard (and back again) right in the middle.

There’s no elaborate video skit to accompany the news, but the Cowboys have announced the details for their 2023 preseason schedule.

And it will necessitate an extra bit of summer travel.

Players fighting for a roster spot will have three chances to impress coaches in a live-game situation, twice at home and once on the West Coast, all against AFC opponents.

Dallas will kick off its preseason by hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. CT. Next, they’ll travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks the following Saturday evening, and then return home to finish the exhibition slate against the Las Vegas Raiders with a 7 p.m. start on Aug. 26.

Dates for the Cowboys’ annual summer visit to Oxnard have not been finalized, but Todd Archer of ESPN reports that the team will fly home from training camp to play the Jaguars game and then return to California for another week of practice leading up to the Seattle trip before finally coming home for good.

This year’s preseason contests are being squeezed into a busy schedule of major events at JerryWorld. The stadium will play host to a preseason soccer “friendly” between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid as part of the 2023 Soccer Champions Tour on July 29. That match is expected to draw a massive crowd just two weeks before the Cowboys’ preseason opener.

Then, once the Cowboys leave town again and invade the Pacific Northwest over the second preseason weekend, heavy metal band Metallica sets up shop at AT&T for Friday and Sunday concerts, pulling out in time for the team to play their preseason finale against the Raiders six days later.

The Cowboys will then hit the road again, opening their regular season with an away game versus the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 10.

The 49ers haven’t announced their preseason schedule yet, but thanks to announcements from their preseason opponents we now know two dates and times on their preseason slate.

The Denver Broncos on Wednesday announced their Week 2 preseason matchup with the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium will take place Aug. 19, with kickoff set for 5:30pm Pacific Time.

San Francisco will also host the Chargers in the final week of the preseason. That game is slated for 7:00pm on Aug. 25.

Now the only game unknown on San Francisco’s exhibition slate is their opener against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. The 49ers and Raiders will hold joint practices together prior to that matchup.

After playing in Arizona and San Francisco, the Broncos will host the Rams in their preseason finale. Denver is expected to host Los Angeles for a joint training camp practice before that preseason game.

After preseason, the Broncos will have to trim the roster from 90 players down to 53 by Tuesday, Aug. 29. Denver will then prepare to host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Jaguars announce full 2023 preseason schedule

The Jaguars will kick off their preseason slate on Aug. 12.

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2023 campaign will get started on Aug. 12 with their first preseason game.

On Wednesday, the team announced the dates, times, and TV schedules for three preseason games:

  • Saturday, Aug. 12: Jaguars at Dallas Cowboys, 5 p.m. ET, FOX30
  • Saturday, Aug. 19: Jaguars at Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. ET, FOX30
  • Saturday, Aug. 26: Miami Dolphins at Jaguars, 7 p.m. ET, CBS47

Last season, the Jaguars played four preseason games as they were featured in the annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Game. This year, it’ll be the second time ever that Jacksonville plays just three exhibition games ahead of the regular season.

With back-to-back road games in August — as well as joint practices scheduled with the Lions in Detroit — the Jaguars will spend a significant stretch away from Jacksonville in the middle of August. The Jaguars will, however, have eight home games at TIAA Bank Field during the regular season on top of a “home” game at Wembley Stadium in London.

Bucs 2023 preseason schedule has Tampa Bay hosting two AFC North teams

The Bucs will also play the New York Jets on the road.

[connatix div_id=”3f8b015acdd24c648befc5d5dac47469″ player_id=”afe1e038-d3c2-49c0-922d-6511a229f69c” cid=”7cbcea0d-4ce2-4c75-9a8d-fbe02a192c24″]

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason schedule is set, and it features the Bucs facing off against an AFC slate.

Two of those teams are from the AFC North, both of which the Bucs will host at Raymond James Stadium. Tampa Bay is set to face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers to kick off proceedings on Aug. 11 and will then host the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 26. The Bucs played both teams last year and lost both matchups.

The second game of the preseason run is perhaps the most interesting. Outside the AFC North matchups the Buccaneers are set to play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, where Todd Bowles will return as a head coach (for a different team this time). The team intends to have a joint practice with the Jets, but it seems as if the date for this matchup is unknown — Tampa Bay lists the game as happening anywhere from Aug. 17-20, indicating that the joint practice is likely still being set up.

The Bucs will play the Minnesota Vikings in the first game of the season once the preseason schedule is wrapped up.

Week Date Opponent Time
1 Aug. 11 vs Pittsburgh Steelers TBA
2 Aug. 17-20 at New York Jets TBA
3 Aug. 26 vs Baltimore Ravens TBA
