Tennessee softball defeats Auburn for 19th consecutive win.

No. 4 Tennessee (27-4, 7-0 SEC) defeated Auburn (15-10-1, 2-8 SEC), 5-1, Friday at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Alabama.

Friday’s win is Tennessee’s 19th consecutive. Tennessee remains the only undefeated team in Southeastern Conference play.

Catcher Sophia Nugent went 2-for-3 for the Lady Vols. She recorded a two-run home run, a solo home run, three RBIs and two runs.

Rylie West went 1-for-4 and hit a solo home run against the Tigers.

Payton Gottshall (12-2) pitched four scoreless innings in relief for Tennessee. She allowed three hits and recorded three strikeouts.

Karlyn Pickens started for the Lady Vols. She pitched three innings and allowed one run, one hit and two walks. Pickens recorded two strikeouts.

The Lady Vols won the series and is the only remaining undefeated team in the Southeastern Conference.

Tennessee has won 17 consecutive games.

Rylie West went 1-for-2. She recorded a two-run home run, a sacrifice fly, three RBIs and one run for Tennessee.

Laura Mealer went 1-for-2 and hit a two-run home run for the Lady Vols. McKenna Gibson went 2-for-4. She recorded one run and one RBI.

Kiki Milloy’s 18-game hit streak ended as she went 0-for-3. She recoded two walks and one run.

Payton Gottshall (11-2) pitched a complete game for Tennessee. She pitched seven innings and allowed three hits and four walks, while recording seven strikeouts.

Kiki Milloy went 2-for-4. She recorded one home run, two RBIs and two runs, while Destiny Rodriguez went 2-for-4. She recoded one home run, one RBI and one run.

Rylie West went 2-for-4 and totaled one home run, one RBI and one run.

Charli Orsini started for Tennessee and pitched three innings. She did not allow a run, hit or walk.

Payton Gottshall (10-2) pitched four innings for the Lady Vols. She allowed three hits and recorded nine strikeouts, including the 1,000th of her college career.

No. 9 Tennessee (13-4) defeated Longwood (6-11), 7-0, on Monday to conclude play in the Tennessee Classic at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

Monday’s win is the fifth consecutive for the Lady Vols. Tennessee hit four home runs against Longwood.

Kiki Milloy went 2-for-4, recording one home run, two RBIs, two runs and one stolen base for Tennessee.

Rylie West went 2-for-4, recording one home run, two RBIs, two runs and one stolen base, while Zaida Puni went 2-for-3 with one home run, one double, one run and two RBIs.

Laura Meeler hit two extra-base hits, including one home run and one double, for Tennessee. She also recorded two RBIs.

Tennessee defeated Stetson (7-13) and Longwood (6-10).

The Lady Vols outlasted the Hatters, 3-2, and run-ruled the Lancers, 12-1.

Against Stetson, Destiny Rodriguez went 1-for-3 and hit a winning RBI on a solo home run in the sixth inning.

Kiki Milloy went 1-for-1, recording two runs, three stolen bases and one walk, while Rylie West went 1-for-2 for one double and one RBI.

Zaida Puni hit an RBI on a groudout for Tennessee.

Karlyn Pickens (6-2) pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief. She allowed one hit and one walk, while recording five strikeouts.

In Tennessee’s second game, the Lady Vols defeated the Lancers in five innings.

Milloy hit two home runs and recoded three RBIs, while West hit a grand slam and McKenna Gibson hit a two-run home run in the third inning.

Lady Vols defeat Oregon State, UCF at Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic

Tennessee wins two games on the second day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.

No. 5 Tennessee (7-3) won two games during the second day of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic Saturday in Cathedral City, California.

The Lady Vols defeated Oregon State, 6-1, and shut out UCF, 3-0.

Tennessee opened the day with a victory over the Beavers (6-8).

Kiki Milloy, Rylie West and Sophia Nugent each hit solo home runs against Oregon State.

West went 2-for-3, while Milloy hit her 59th career home run in the contest.

Tennessee’s Payton Gotshall (3-2) pitched a complete game. She allowed four hits and one run, while recording nine strikeouts.

Against UCF, West went 3-for-4 with one double and one run, while Taylor Pannell hit a two-run double.

The Lady Vols totaled eight hits and committed three errors against UCF (7-6).

Karlyn Pickens (4-1) pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and two walks. She recorded 14 strikeouts.

Rylie West earns SEC Player of the Week honors

Lady Vols’ Rylie West earns SEC Player of the Week honors.

Tennessee’s Rylie West earned Southeastern Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday.

She went 5-for-7, recording six runs, two doubles, two home runs, six RBIs, three walks and a 2.657 on-base and slugging percentage in Tennessee’s first three games of the 2024 season.

Tennessee defeated UT Arlington, 15-0, on opening day. The Lady Vols also completed a two-game sweep at Baylor before the series finale was canceled due to inclement weather.

The Lady Vols will next play at Kennesaw State (2-2) on Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EST at Bailey Park in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Tennessee’s home opener is slated for March 1 versus Brown.
