Bills’ Ed Oliver out vs. Patriots

3 players ruled out for the #Bills:

The Buffalo Bills will be without Ed Oliver against the New England Patriots in Week 7.

According to head coach Sean McDermott during an appearance on the team’s radio partner WGR-550, Oliver will not suit up. Oliver has been listed on the injury report this week with a toe injury which he sustained against the New York Giants last week.

In that 14-9 win over the Giants, Oliver played a career-high total number of snaps: 87 percent. It was the second-straight game Oliver set a new career-high.

Speaking of career-highs, Oliver is on pace to set his single-season high for sacks. His rookie year he had five and through six games, Oliver already has recorded four.

Without Oliver, Jordan Phillips and Tim Settle could see extended snaps against the Patriots (1-5).

In addition to Oliver, the Bills (4-2) have ruled out tight end Quintin Morris (ankle) and running back Damien Harris (concussion).

Both sustained their injuries against the Giants as well. Harris was taken off the field in an ambulance but was released from the hospital on Monday.

Later on Friday Buffalo and New England will both release their full injury reports and designations for players ahead of Sunday’s game. Bills Wire will bring that information once it’s made available.

Bills hold workouts with TEs EJ Jenkins, Austin Allen

#Bills had two workouts this week:

The Buffalo Bills held workouts with a pair of tight ends this week, EJ Jenkins and Austin Allen. The decision likely relates to the team’s injury report.

Ahead of facing the New England Patriots (1-5) in Week 7, the Bills (4-2) have seen their three rostered tight ends all listed on the injury report: Dalton Kincaid (concussion) and Dawson Knox (wrist) and Quintin Morris (ankle).

But the finer details from the injury report indicate Buffalo was only doing their due diligence on Jenkins and Allen.

Kincaid did not play in last week’s win over the New York Giants. However, him and Knox are both listed as full participants on the injury report.

Morris did not practice on Wednesday but did play through his injury against the Giants.

Jenkins converted from receiver to tight end in the NFL. He was a 2023 underdrafted rookie free agent signing of the New York Jets.

Allen entered the NFL with the New York Giants in 2022 as a UDFA. He spent this past summer’s training camp with the Green Bay Packers.

Bills Mafia uniquely congratulates Quintin Morris for touchdown vs. Giants

#BillsMafia leaves a note:

Bills tight end Quintin Morris had a surprise left for him at his home by Bills Mafia after his touchdown against the Giants.

Morris has only one target from quarterback Josh Allen on the season. It was thrown to Morris in the end zone and it ended up being the game-winning score in the 14-9 final.

His neighbors were pumped for him.

Morris shared on his social media account via Instagram that Bills Mafia taped a message for him on his garage door which he came home to following the game.

The note read: “Atta boy, Q!! Congrats on the Big Play!”

And Morris had a message back for Bills Mafia in his photo he posted to his story.

Bills at Bears: Kyle Allen finds Quintin Morris for over-the-shoulder TD (video)

#Bills at #Bears: Kyle Allen finds Quintin Morris over the shoulder for TD (video):

While his overall body of work in the preseason has been up and down, it’s hard to say this pass was anything but beautiful from Kyle Allen.

The Bills took a 14-3 lead on the Bears in their preseason finale thanks to this 29-yard pass from Allen to tight end Quintin Morris. Allen put the ball in a perfect position where only Morris could grab it. And he did so in impressive fashion.
