Texas DT Sydir Mitchell makes pitch to 2025 four-star WR Quincy Porter

Four-star WR Quincy Porter, Sydir Mitchell’s former teammate, receives offer from Texas.

Texas football’s recruiting footprint has extended to New Jersey. Former Bergen Catholic High School defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell is looking to help the Longhorns land one of his former teammates.

Next up on the recruiting board for head coach Steve Sarkisian and company is four-star wide receiver Quincy Porter. The 2025 New Jersey talent shared that he had received an offer from Texas recently. It’s not the first big time offer for the dynamic player of late.

In recent weeks, Porter secured offers from Alabama, Florida State, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Michigan among others. The 6-foot-3, 190 pound receiver has the game film to match his frame.

Porter would seem to be a huge potential get for Texas in the 2025 recruiting class. He ranks as the No. 6 athlete and No. 75 overall player in the 2025 On3 consensus.

Given Sarkisian’s recent openness to big-bodied receiver additions, there could be a place for the New Jersey receiver in the program’s future plans.

Alabama offers 2025 4-Star wide receiver Quincy Porter

2025 wide receiver Quincy Porter received an offer from Alabama on Wednesday. Porter is one of the highest-rated players in the state of New Jersey.

The Alabama coaching staff extended one of its latest offers to 2025 wide receiver Quincy Porter.

Porter plays for Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey. As a sophomore, Porter hauled in 34 receptions for 682 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

Following his sophomore season, Porter took unofficial visits to Rutgers, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, and Notre Dame.

With plenty of competition in recruiting him, Alabama will likely look to have Porter in for summer camp or a visit at the least.

Rutgers is currently the favorite to land Porter’s commitment, according to On3’s RPM.

Ohio State football sends out a flurry of offers to top prospects

The Buckeyes stay active on the recruiting trail again #GoBucks

The phones at the [autotag]Woody Hayes Athletic Center[/autotag] must be going off the hook for the [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] staff. The Buckeye brass has been super active on the recruiting trail the last few days, with one of the highlights being an offer to 2026 quarterback Julian Lewis.

The action didn’t stop with Lewis. Many more offers have gone out over the last day or so. There wasn’t a specific focus on who the offers went out to — or even a specific class. They were all over the board.

Find out below who [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] and his staff have recently offered.

Georgia football offers 2025 WR Quincy Porter

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to class of 2025 wide receiver recruit Quincy Porter

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to talented wide receiver recruit Quincy Porter. Porter plays football and runs track for Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey.

Porter plays on the same high school team as four-star defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell, who has committed to the Texas Longhorns and is a member of the class of 2023.

Quincy Porter has scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, Duke, Syracuse, among others. Porter is currently unranked since he is only a sophomore in high school.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound athlete made an impressive catch during the high school playoffs that shows his potential. Porter does an excellent job of getting separation and then catching this pass with hands and not his body.

The talented wide receiver recruit announced his scholarship offer from the University of Georgia via Twitter. Porter pinned the Tweet, which shows how much the offer means to him.

Rutgers football becomes second offer for Bergen Catholic athlete Quincy Porter

Rutgers football offers Bergen Catholic athlete Quincy Porter.

Over the weekend, Rutgers football officially got involved with Quincy Porter, a talented underclassman at Bergen Catholic. The Scarlet Knights offered Porter, becoming his fourth offer from a Power Five program.

For Porter, it was also his second offer from a Big Ten program. Michigan had previously offered the class of 2025 standout.

At 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Porter projects as either a wide receiver or a safety at the next level.

Porter tweeted about the offer from Rutgers on June 12. On the next day, he was offered by Boston College.

Earlier in June, he was offered by Duke, making it two offers from the Big Ten and two offers from the ACC since May:

It has been a busy week for Rutgers football as the program landed five commitments, all from outside of New Jersey. All five of the commitments this week for Rutgers football have come from outside of New Jersey.
