Ohio State commit Air Noland named MVP of Rivals Camp

The Buckeye commit had a busy weekend #GoBucks

It has been quite the last two weeks for [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] quarterback commit [autotag]Prentiss “Air” Noland[/autotag].

Not only did he make his collegiate decision, but he made a return visit to Columbus for the annual Spring Game on Saturday. Then on Sunday Noland was back in his home state of Georgia to participate in a Rivals Camp.

The lefty dominated the competition, en route to earning quarterback MVP of the camp.

The 6-foot, 3-inch, 195-pound Buckeye commit is rated as the No. 8 overall quarterback and 71st player in the country according to the 247Sports composite. If he continues to bring home more MVP awards, expect his ranking to rise. He may also get the “Buckeye bump” as some recruiting analysts say.

Hopefully, Noland remains part of the class and becomes the next great quarterback at Ohio State because the Buckeyes have been on quite a run under center.

Scout’s view: Ohio State’s latest commitment, quarterback Air Noland

The Buckeyes have their 2024 quarterback #GoBucks

Although [autotag]Prentiss “Air” Noland[/autotag] had to wait until last week for his [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] offer, it was the one he was waiting for. The Georgia lefty quarterback committed to the Buckeyes tonight.

He becomes the first true left-handed quarterback on OSU’s roster since [autotag]Steve Bellisari[/autotag] in the early 2000s. Yes, [autotag]Torrance Gibson[/autotag] came in as a quarterback, but that didn’t last long as he  transitioned to wide receiver shortly after trying his hand at quarterback.

Noland has steadily risen in the recruiting rankings, initially ranked as the No. 200 overall recruit and now sitting as No. 84 overall. The 6-foot, 3-inch, 195-pounder selected Ohio State over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Oregon, and others.

The ninth commit for the Buckeyes will have plenty of weapons at his disposal and is reunited with high school teammate, tight end Jelani Thurman. After watching his highlight tape, Ohio State fans should be ecstatic about the future of the position.

Find out what I liked about Noland’s game after watching his junior season recap in my scout’s view and what to expect during his tenure in Columbus.

Report: Ohio State to host 2024 quarterback looking to get an offer

The Buckeyes will bring this lefty quarterback in for a visit #GoBucks

We all know once [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] lost 2024 quarterback commit Dylan Raiola, head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] was going to find another top-level replacement.

Some of the best quarterbacks in the class have already made their commitments, but the Buckeyes are putting out feelers such as the one to Alabama commit [autotag]Julian Sayin[/autotag]. Day and quarterback coach [autotag]Corey Dennis[/autotag] made a visit to North Carolina’s [autotag]Jadyn Davis[/autotag] and the jury is still out on where he will end up.

The staff isn’t waiting on those players to make their decisions and is actively seeking a ‘24 class commitment. Georgia native [autotag]Prentiss Air Noland[/autotag] is a lefty who doesn’t have an offer from Ohio State but hopes that will change on March 31, when he is scheduled to visit Columbus according to a report by 247Sports Steve Wiltfong.

Noland stands 6 feet, 3 inches and weights 195 pounds. He is ranked as the No. 11 quarterback and the 137th overall prospect on the 247Sports composite.
