SNL parodies Celine Dion’s SNF promo with Ariana Grande’s perfect imitation

Grande’s impersonation of Dion is perfectly on point.

Last week, Sunday Night Football put together a promo video that featured the iconic Canadian singer Celine Dion talking about the power of the sport. This week, Saturday Night Live made its own version with host Ariana Grande breaking out her perfect imitation of the powerhouse.

Instead of a football-focused promo, Grande’s Dion instead hyped up the beauty of UFC. Grande sang Dion’s classic “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” with slight lyric tweaks to highlight the brutal sport.

Grande has imitated Dion’s singing style before on the Tonight Show Jimmy Fallon and on That’s My Jam alongside Kelly Clarkson.

SNL cold open featured Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris playing Family Feud

Andy Samberg, Jim Gaffigan and Dana Carvey return for to play alongside Rudolph.

With the 2024 presidential election right around the corner, Saturday Night Live continued to lean into the topical skits. This week, presidential nominees Kamala Harris (Maya Rudolph) and Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) participated in a game of Family Feud, complete with host Steve Harvey (Kenan Thompson).

The two teams competed to answer the question “Name something that you keep in your glove compartment.” Vice President Harris won control of the board, taking the question back to her team made up of her husband, Doug Emhoff (Andy Samberg), running mate Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan) and President Joe Biden (Dana Carvey).

Sydney Sweeney gave a classic excuse for not calling the Oregon Duck back

Sydney Sweeney watches College GameDay too, apparently.

ESPN’s pregame show for college football visited Eugene, Oregon on Saturday ahead of the big top 5 matchup between Ohio State and Oregon. The show was up to its usual antics, as the mascots for the Buckeyes and Ducks made sentimental signs for an absent Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit made his picks from his flight to Texas versus Oklahoma, and Nick Saban ranted about Alabama’s stunning loss last week to Vanderbilt.

But the star of the show wasn’t ESPN’s talent – it was the Oregon Duck.

And the mascot caught everyone’s attention at one point in the show when they held up a sign saying: “Sydney Sweeney Call Me Back” while the panel picked the winner between Colorado and Kansas State.

It even caught the attention of the actress, who had a classic excuse ready to go that she deployed on her Instagram account:

So, there you have it, Oregon Duck. You’ll need to get Sweeney’s new digits.

Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole talks about Taylor Swift ‘situation’ on Angel Reese’s podcast

Kelce’s ex made an appearance on the WNBA star’s podcast this week.

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese’s new podcast episode dropped on Thursday night, with Kayla Nicole joining as a guest. The model and influencer dated Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for five years, and their relationship reportedly ended in late 2022.

Reese has done six episodes of her Unapologetically Angel podcast, with previous guests including Dwyane Wade, Latto and Sheryl Swoopes. On this week’s episode, Reese and Nicole touched a variety of topics, including a lengthy discussion about her relationship with Kelce.

At one point, Reese asked if Nicole and Kelce were “cool” now that he has been dating pop star Taylor Swift for over a year. Nicole said they’d greet each other, but any sort of visible interactions or friendly behavior would be heavily scrutinized because of the 14-time Grammy winner.

“We’ve seen each other in public spaces, but I think that we’re both aware of the nature of his new situation,” Nicole told Reese. “There’s just no room really for us to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly without it being spun into something crazy so we just keep it moving.”

While the classification of Kelce and Swift’s relationship as a “situation” was a little odd, Reese’s follow up statement of “I loved you guys together” felt even more out of place.

Nicole also denied on the rumors of Kelce being “cheap” in their relationship, and discussed the over-the-top behavior from some Swifties.

“I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and online chaos doesn’t impact me. It does, even to this day,” she said. “You can go to my most recent post and there will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career.”

Caleb Williams is too humble to admit the Bears’ prophecy!

A great Chicago Bears quarterback is genuinely the last frontier there is in the NFL. It is not a happening most people could say they have witnessed in 2024. But the more time passes, the more it certainly seems like Caleb Williams — already an owner of a Bears rookie record — might be The One.

Or he might even be the Bears’ … Lisan al Gaib.

Just don’t expect Williams to admit that.

In a snippet from a new interview with NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt, Williams seemingly does everything in his power to refute comparisons to Paul Atreides from the fiction series Dune, a.k.a. the Bears’ “Lisan al Gaib,” a.k.a. the Bears’ “messiah.”

(Ahem) That’s even more reason to believe he is! Because that’s exactly what Paul Atreides would do!

Caleb Williams isn’t slick. Bears fans see and hear him, and I have a hard time thinking this interview won’t just reinforce their faith.

Sabrina Carpenter wore a wonderfully sparkly Phillies jersey for her Philadelphia concert

That’s that Phillies espresso.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour continued on Tuesday night with the “Please Please Please” singer performing in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Arena. The short-statured and charismatic performer has had an incredible summer with multiple top hits, and now that popularity has filled venues around the country.

Although the Philadelphia Phillies were in New York City for Game 3 of the NLDS against the Mets, Carpenter was still dressed for the occasion. At one point in the concert, she donned a very sparkly Phillies jersey over her costume.

Carpenter performed her massive hit single “Espresso” while wearing the jersey, much to the delight of the crowd.

Taylor Swift joining Travis Kelce’s friends for their weekly post-Chiefs shoe pic is the best

One of these shoes is not like the others.

The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 5-0 on the season on Monday night with a win over the visiting New Orleans Saints. It was tight end Travis Kelce’s best game of the season after a slow start to 2024, and the future Hall-of-Famer had a big cheering section for the game, including big brother Jason and girlfriend Taylor Swift.

After the game, Travis joined Jason, Swift and friends in the suite. The group posed for a photo that showed off all of the Jordan sneakers in the room — a bit of a game day tradition for the crew — but this time they allowed for one interloper.

The picture, posted by longtime friend Aric Jones to Instagram, featured nine Jordans and one fancy black heeled boot.

Jason Kelce loves Taylor Swift making Travis Kelce less of a picky eater

The 14-time Grammy winner is introducing Travis to more foods.

Travis Kelce is a picky eater, something that has come up several times on his New Heights podcast with his big brother, Jason. This week, the topic came up again as Jason described his experience tailgating outside Arrowhead Stadium before the Chiefs hosted the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.

In a discussion on Travis’ aversion to jambalaya and curry, the Kansas City tight end said that girlfriend Taylor Swift has gotten him to expand his palate a little bit. This is something that clearly makes Jason happy as the former Eagle said, “My girl Tay is getting you opened up. She’s introducing new foods to you. One of the greatest things that I’m happy about.”

Spirit Halloween’s newest business plan led to so many ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ jokes

It’s time to get in the Christmas spirit. (See what we did there?)

Every year, Spirit Halloween stores pop up in random locations. The locations open for what feels like a few weeks and then vanish without a trace until the following year.

But what if there were Spirit Christmas stores? That would be fantastic, right? TODAY IS YOUR LUCKY DAY. Some genius folks at Spirit Halloween decided that’s exactly what the masses need, and this is the best news anybody could imagine for a store they’ll probably only ever visit once. (It’s me. I’m anybody. This sounds AMAZING, and I may or may not be screaming about it.)

Per Kristian Burt of CNBC, the company will open 10 storefronts called Spirit Christmas throughout the entire holiday season. An original flagship store in Mays Landing, New Jersey, will open on October 18, and nine locations will open in early November. The stores will have tons of essential holiday decorations and even a real-life Santa to take photos with.

Of course, the news of Spirit Christmas landed differently for some people. It had a bunch of folks making perfect The Nightmare Before Christmas jokes.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift looked so incredibly happy in photo after Chiefs win

These two are just adorable.

Monday night, the Chiefs defeated the visiting Saints to improve to 5-0, one of two remaining undefeated teams this season (with the other improbably being the Minnesota Vikings).

It was an exciting game that stayed relatively close throughout until a couple clutch plays from Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense put the home team comfortably ahead in the fourth quarter.

Pop star and 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift was back at Arrowhead Stadium to support boyfriend Travis Kelce after not being able to attend the last two road games in Atlanta and Los Angeles.

After the game, the couple was seen together at a party looking incredibly happy in a shared photo.
