2025 4-star LB and Texas A&M commit has reportedly shut down his recruitment

According to a source, 2025 4-star LB Noah Mikhail is “100% committed” to Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting cycle is the first official class for Mike Elko amid his first season with the program as the first-year head coach. He has owned the California region, landing commitments from three of the state’s top 10 ranked 2025 prospects.

2025 4-star linebacker Noah Mikhail is one of those three players who pledged his commitment to Texas A&M earlier this year, joining 4-star cornerback Adonyss Currie and 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet, while top-ranked cornerback and current Alabama commit Dijon Lee is still in the mix.

Mikhail’s commitment was never in doubt, though the red-hot Oregon Ducks have been attempting to flip the rising backer over the last few months. This led to Texas A&M defensive coordinator Jay Bateman visiting the senior last week.

On Saturday, it was revealed by Texas A&M recruiting insider Jaxson Callaway that Mikhail will not take any more recruiting visits and remains 100% locked in with the Aggies before putting pen to paper later this year.

During his 2023 junior season, Mikhail racked up 166 tackles, one sack, 15 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and an interception at Bonita HS in La Verne, California.

According to 247Sports Composite, Mikhail is currently positioned as the 92nd-ranked prospect in the 2025 cycle, the 8th-ranked linebacker, and the 7th-ranked prospect in California.

One of Texas A&M’s 2025 commits will attend Texas A&M vs. Arkansas

2025 4-star LB Noah Mikhail will watch the Aggies play the Hogs on Saturday

Texas A&M (3-1. 1-0 SEC) will face Arkansas (3-1, 1-0 SEC) on Saturday afternoon, as the Southwest Classic will resume inside AT&T Stadium for a final game in the venue after a decade-plus.

After defeating Bowling Green last weekend, head coach Mike Elko didn’t learn much about his team on both sides of the ball outside of redshirt freshman quarterback Marcel Reed’s continued progress, paired with the pass rush finally getting home and recording multiple sacks.

This weekend, the Razorback’s offense averages over 40.5 points per game, meaning the Aggie defense must be stout against the run and not allow too many explosive plays through the air.

On the recruiting front, two of Texas A&M’s 2025 commits will attend the game. 4-star linebacker Noah Mikhail and 4-star wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson will watch the Aggies hopefully put on a solid performance. Mikhail, whom the Oregon Ducks are still heavily pursuing, could solidify his commitment to the Aggies, as both players will likely visit with the coaching staff after the game.

According to 247Sports, Mikhail is currently positioned as the 83rd-ranked prospect in the class, the 10th-ranked linebacker prospect, and the 5th-ranked prospect in California.

Texas A&M will face Arkansas inside AT&T Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on ESPN.

4-star LB Noah Mikhail announces college commitment

4-star linebacker Noah Mikhail announced his college commitment on Sunday afternoon between the Oregon Ducks and Texas A&M Aggies.

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks started an incredible hot streak on the recruiting trail Friday afternoon, landing a total of four blue-chip prospects in a matter of 48 hours, capped off by the addition of 5-star CB Dorian Brew on Saturday afternoon.

They had a chance to add to that haul on Sunday afternoon, but it unfortunately didn’t come to fruition.

4-star linebacker Noah Mikhail announced his college commitment on Sunday, choosing to go to the Texas A&M Aggies over Oregon and USC Trojans.

Mikhail is rated as the No. 69 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 8 LB. While he didn’t choose the Ducks at present, don’t be surprised to see Lanning and staff keep on him and try to flip him before the signing period this winter.

4-star LB Noah Mikhail puts Oregon in his top 3 a month ahead of commitment

Noah Mikhail, the No. 10 linebacker in the class of 2025, placed the Oregon Ducks in his top three schools Tuesday.

Noah Mikhail, one of the top-ranked linebackers in the class of 2025, has narrowed his search to three schools — one of which is Oregon —247Sports’s Blair Angulo reported on Tuesday. His other two choices are USC and Texas A&M.

Mikhail has three official visits scheduled this month, one with each of his top three schools. He will come to Eugene on June 14th and on June 30th, he’ll announce his commitment.

247Sports ranks Mikhail as the No. 10 linebacker in his class and a top-100 player overall. At 6 feet 3 inches and 227 pounds, Mikhail has a balanced build that makes him a physical presence in the middle of the field, but he is also rangy enough to cover the wide sides of the field.

The Oregon Ducks have been active in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but most of their success has been on the offensive side of the ball. Of the Ducks’ seven commits, just two are on defense. One of those defenders, Nasir Wyatt, plays the same position as Mikhail. Wyatt is ranked as the No. 13 LB in 2025, so if the Ducks were to bring in Mikhail, they’d be set up well at LB for seasons to come.

Notre Dame football to host 4-star linebacker during the spring

The Irish will have a chance to impress the 4-star linebacker this spring

Notre Dame football has its sights set on more than a few more big time prospects in the 2025 class.

California linebacker [autotag]Noah Mikhail[/autotag] is one of those, as the Irish are actively pursuing the 6-foot, 3-inch and 205-pound star. He’s a big time prospect, as 247Sports Composite Rankings has him as their No. 5 linebacker and 48th overall prospect in the country.

Mikhail announced what his spring visit schedule will be, and he is set to make the trip to South Bend in early April. He will be making multiple trips beginning in March, so multiple teams will have the opportunity to impress him including the Irish.

With just one linebacker currently committed in the 2025 class, Ko’o Kia, Notre Dame is looking to add Mikhail to the already impressive group.

These two 5-star LB recruits stopping in at the Swamp on Saturday

These two 5-star linebackers are on campus Saturday to check out what the Gators have got going for them.

Florida football’s annual Orange and Blue game is in the rearview mirror but Billy Napier and his staff’s efforts on the recruiting front never stop. On Saturday following the intrasquad scrimmage that represents the end of spring practice, the Gators got a pair of five-star 2025 linebacker recruits on campus for a gander at what the Swamp has to offer them.

The first big name on the board is [autotag]Jadon Perlotte[/autotag] out of Buford (Georgia) who committed to the Georgia Bulldogs back in December. The 6-foot-3-inch-200-pound defender appears to still be weighing his options elsewhere and could give the Gators a chance to flip a top recruit from their biggest rivals.

Perlotte is rated at five stars and ranked No. 22 overall and No. 2 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at four stars and ranked at Nos. 50 and 5, respectively.

Secondly, there is [autotag]Noah Mikhail[/autotag] out of Laverne (California) Bonita, who received a scholarship offer from Florida last week. The 6-foot-2-inch, 210-pound linebacker makes his first-ever stop in Gainesville on Saturday.

Mikhail is rated at five stars and ranked No. 28 overall and No. 3 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at four stars and ranked at Nos. 48 and 4, respectively. On3’s RPM gives the USC Trojans a 31.7% chance of signing him, with the Texas A&M Aggies, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Washington Huskies trailing behind at 14.2%, 12.2% and 5.3%, respectively.

OU, Bedlam to play host to big names with a number of prospects descending on Norman

Oklahoma takes on in-state rival Oklahoma State for Bedlam and will be doing so with a massive group of recruits in attendance. From @thatmanbryant

There’s a fairly significant amount of importance surrounding Bedlam this year. The amount of games left between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State has been reduced significantly with Oklahoma’s impending move to the SEC on the horizon.

We may have 2023 and 2024, but the rivalry will cease as we know it in the next few years. Every game has always mattered but these last few, like the one on Saturday night, will mean a lot more.

Additionally, Oklahoma is fighting for bowl eligibility. They need one more win to participate in 2022’s bowl season.

Lastly and arguably most importantly, Oklahoma has its biggest recruiting weekend of the football season with Oklahoma State coming to town. We’ll revisit 2022 Bedlam several years from now and look back and remember it as a pivotal moment in Oklahoma’s last five to ten years.

There are some big-time names across multiple recruiting classes that will be in attendance for Oklahoma including five-star DT and Texas A&M commit David Hicks and recently dubbed 2024 five-star DT David Stone. More than 20 recruits have already committed to being in Norman, some via social media and others per OUInsider.com.

After Brent Venables Football camp, several 2025 prospects receive Oklahoma offers

After attending Brent Venables’ Football Camp, several 2025 prospects received Oklahoma offers.

Fall camp begins next week, and the 2022 college football season is less than five weeks away, but recruiting never stops.

The Sooners have had a big month of July, putting themselves in a position to finish with one of the best classes in the 2023 cycle and potentially their best class in the modern recruiting era.

At No. 6 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings, OU still has several more prospects that could join their already stellar class, including Jacobe Johnson, Makari Vickers and David Hicks. They’re not done yet.

The Sooners spent this week hosting players across several recruiting classes for Brent Venables’ Football Camp and the Party at the Palace. Camps have paid huge dividends for the Sooners this summer, helping them find players such as Keyon Brown and Jasiah Wagoner, recent 2023 commits.

At this week’s camp, several high school freshmen earned offers from the Oklahoma Sooners: Cornerback Devin Sanchez, wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon, athlete Terrance Edwards, linebacker Noah Mikhail, and safety Anquon Fegans.

Brent Venables and his coaching staff place a premium on face-to-face interactions and on-field evaluations. The camps they’ve been hosting this summer have proven an invaluable resource as they look to build the program for the present and the future.
