WATCH: Chiefs WR Rashee Rice’s NFLPA Rookie Premiere video

No. 4 certainly looks good on #Chiefs rookie WR Rashee Rice in the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere video:

Kansas City Chiefs second-round draft pick, SMU WR Rashee Rice, was among the 45 players selected to attend the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere event back in May.

The event serves as a jumping-off point for rookies to learn about marketing, endorsements and managing their brands. They get hands-on opportunities working with NFL brand partners, such as Panini America, Fanatics, EA Sports, Sleep Number, Oakley, Funko and more.

One part of the NFLPA event included a full media day in their new NFL uniforms. We only saw a glimpse of Rice rocking his Chiefs jersey with full pads, but now we’re seeing the final results with some videos of the NFL’s newest stars.

Giants WR Jalin Hyatt, Vikings WR Jordan Addison, Texans QB CJ Stroud, Packers WR Jayden Reed and Rice all got their opportunity to be in the limelight with these slick videos of them in their new uniforms. You can check out Rice’s video at the top of the page.

WR Quentin Johnston makes first appearance in full Chargers uniform

Check out the Los Angeles Chargers’ first-round pick in full uniform.

Last Saturday, May 20, the NFLPA held its Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, CA. The event provided football fans with their first look at some of the 2023 NFL draft’s popular prospects in the uniforms of their new teams.

For the Chargers, their first-round pick wide receiver Quentin Johnston represented the team at the event.

Check him out below, donning the infamous powder blue jersey with his number 1 and the gold pants.

A big-bodied wideout, Johnston should provide a spark to Los Angeles’ offense early in the 2023 season as he is a deep threat with the speed to stretch the field and can outpace defenders in the open field with great explosiveness, wiggle and strength.

Johnston needs to refine his route running and clean up some drop issues, but having the mentorship of Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Josh Palmer should aid that.

First look at Marvin Mims in a Broncos uniform

Marvin Mims rocked a Broncos jersey for the first time at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles last week.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims donned an orange and blue uniform for the first time when he attended the NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles last week.

Mims, who was selected by the Broncos in the second round of April’s NFL draft, attended the event to network for business and marketing opportunities while also posing for trading card photoshoots.

After rookie minicamp (May 12-14), Mims attended the NFLPA Rookie Premiere from May 18-21 before returning to Denver. He is now set to attend organized team activities with the Broncos this week (the first session runs from May 23-25).

Here are a few photos from Mims attending the event.

Every year, teams send rookies to the NFLPA Rookie Premiere where they will have the chance to learn, adapt to the next level, and socialize with other rookie colleagues. This year, the Cleveland Browns sent third round wide receiver Cedric Tillman and fifth round quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

Thompson-Robinson got a welcome to the league from his favorite player growing up in New York Jets’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and now they got to show off their new threads at the event. Take a look here as both Thompson-Robinson and Tillman flash their new brown and orange threads at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Kansas City Chiefs second-round draft pick, SMU WR Rashee Rice, is out in Los Angeles, California for the weekend to represent the team at the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere event. He’s one of the 45 players selected in the 2023 NFL draft in attendance and the only player at the event for the Chiefs.

On Saturday, the NFLPA provided a brief glimpse at a number of players in their new NFL uniforms. Rice was front-and-center in his No. 4 jersey, next to Los Angeles Chargers WR Quentin Johnston and Dallas Cowboys TE Luke Schoonmaker.

Check it out:

This marks the first time that Rice is putting on his Chiefs’ uniform practically in its entirety with pads and all. He wore just a helmet and jersey during the team’s rookie minicamp earlier this month.

Rice was later spotted on Instagram Live showing off the threads for his new team.

This is the first glimpse fans will get of Rice in his full gear. OTAs kick off on Monday, but they’ll bring more of the same for Kansas City. The team won’t have any padded practices until training camp kicks off in July.

Raiders send league-leading 4 drafted rookies to NFLPA Rookie Premiere

League-leading 4 Raiders will be at NFLPA Rookie Premiere

You can sure tell the Raiders used a lot of picks on offensive skill position players. Because they will be well-represented at this year’s NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Only two defensive players were invited to this year’s Rookie Premiere and no offensive linemen. Which is actually right about what you expect from the NFLPA’s annual reminder that anyone other than offensive skill position players are not considered “marketable”.

Those two defensive players are edge rushers Will Anderson and Tyree Wilson.

Anderson was selected at third overall by the Houston Texans while Wilson was taken seventh overall by the Raiders.

In total, the Raiders will have four rookies at the Rookie Premiere, which is the most in the NFL.

The other three are TE Michael Mayer, WR Tre Tucker, and QB Aidan O’Connell. DT Byron Young and CB Jakorian Bennett — both of whom were drafted ahead of O’Connell — were not invited.

In total, there will be 45 drafted rookies in attendance at the event which is presented by Panini America. It will take place May 18-21 in Los Angeles.

According to the press release:

Players are selected for the Rookie Premiere based on factors such as college performance, draft status, position, and marketability, all of which affect trading card value.

Strong emphasis on “position” here.

Rookies benefit from the event by gaining insights and connections that help them develop their personal brands and careers off the field. During the event, players receive orientation on union programs and services and learn from past participants. Rookie Premiere generates numerous business opportunities for current and former players, making it an impactful event for all involved.

Rookies will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from brands such as Fanatics, EA Sports, Pepsi, DraftKings, and Procter & Gamble.

As an added bonus, it will be first time these rookies will get to don the uniform of their new NFL team.

Broncos WR Marvin Mims invited to 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Broncos WR Marvin Mims has been invited to attend the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims has been invited to the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Mims is one of 45 rookies invited and the only Broncos player on the list.

The event will be held from May 18-21, after rookie minicamp (May 12-14) and just before the start of organized team activities (May 23-25), so Mims should be able to attend.

The rookie premiere “provides partners with unmatched access to 40 of the NFL’s newest stars at their first major business and marketing event following the NFL draft,” according to the NFLPA’s website.

“This is one of the most valuable opportunities available to NFLPA partners because it’s the first time to connect directly with professional football’s most promising and marketable young players — all in one place — and build content and relationships that extend into the season and beyond.”

Mims was picked by the Broncos in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft after totaling 2,433 yards from scrimmage and scoring 20 touchdowns in three seasons at Oklahoma.

Jaguars’ Tank Bigsby to attend NFLPA Rookie Premiere

The Jaguars’ Tank Bigsby is one of 45 draftees set to participate in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles.

Jacksonville Jaguars third-round pick Tank Bigsby is one of 45 draftees set to attend the NFL Players Association’s annual Rookie Premiere event in Los Angeles.

The event — which is set to happen May 18-21 — almost exclusively features rookies at skill positions. Top 10 picks Jalen Carter, Tyree Wilson, and Will Anderson Jr. are the only players set to attend the event who don’t play quarterback, running back, wide receiver, or tight end.

The rookie premiere is a marketing event that connects rookies with brands to kick start the endorsement side of their professional sports career. A highlight of the event is that players in attendance are typically the first to wear their new team’s full uniform for photo shoots.

Bigsby was drafted with the No. 88 overall pick by the Jaguars and is set to compete for touches in a crowded backfield that also features Travis Etienne Jr., D’Ernest Johnson, and JaMycal Hasty.

During his time as a member of the Auburn Tigers, Bigsby earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2020 and finished his collegiate career with 3,351 total yards from scrimmage and 25 touchdowns.

RB Isaiah Spiller makes first appearance in full Chargers uniform

Check out the Los Angeles Chargers’ fourth-round pick in full uniform.

Last Saturday, May 21, the NFLPA held its Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, CA. The event provided football fans with their first look at some of the 2022 NFL draft’s popular prospects in the uniforms of their new teams.

For the Chargers, it wasn’t their first-round pick, guard Zion Johnson. Instead, it was the fourth-round selection, running back Isaiah Spiller, who represented the Bolts at the event.

Check him out below, donning the infamous powder blue jersey that features his number 28 and the gold pants.

This summer, Spiller will compete with Joshua Kelley and Larry Rountree for the No. 2 running back spot.

Should he come out on top, Spiller would be an ideal complement to Austin Ekeler, as he possesses the vision, change-of-direction, and toughness to win on the ground and the receiving upside to make an impact early on in his pro career.

See it: Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson at 2022 NFLPA Rookie Premiere

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson was the only Giant to attend the 2022 NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

Every year, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) holds the Rookie Premiere. The event grants NFLPA partners with access to 40 of the top rookies in the league, the first major business and marketing event experienced by the new draftees.

This year, New York Giants rookie Wan’Dale Robinson attended the event.

Robinson, a second-round pick out of Kentucky, began his collegiate career at Nebraska but transferred to Kentucky for the 2021 season to be closer to his hometown of Frankfort.

One of Robinson’s biggest strengths is his vision on the field. His ability to make defenders miss and find an open spot on the field to catch the ball make him an asset on the field. After the Rookie Premiere, that vision may make him an asset in other areas of life.

Robinson already told Giants fans that he will do whatever it takes on the field, and he’s known as a “gadget-guy” who can do just about anything on the field.

“Whatever they want me to do, whether that be run the ball, catch the ball, catch a bunch of screens, sweeps, whatever they ask me to do, I’ll be able to do it. That’s just what I want to do,” Robinson told reporters last week.

If Robinson can truly do anything he’s asked to do, the Giants gained a serious asset in the 2022 NFL draft.

Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux and Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal were both drafted higher than Robinson but did not attend the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.
