Jets injury report: Duane Brown, Chazz Surratt, Billy Turner out for Week 10

Jets injury report: Duane Brown, Chazz Surratt, Billy Turner out for Week 10

The Jets will be without two offensive tackles for Sunday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Jets are not activating Duane Brown just yet while Billy Turner is out after getting surgery on his injured finger.

The result is a sixth different starting offensive line combination for the Jets in their ninth game this season. Most likely, the Jets will move Max Mitchell back to right tackle after he started at right guard last week against the Chargers while a new face will start at right guard. Rodger Saffold could get the start. The Jets will likely elevate the veteran from the practice squad.

Linebacker Chazz Surratt is also out as he will miss his second game with an injured ankle.

First-round pick Will McDonald suffered an ankle injury and was a late addition to the injury report, missing Friday’s practice, putting his status for Sunday up in the air. He is officially listed as questionable.

Mekhi Becton (knee), Allen Lazard (knee), Jeremy Ruckert (shoulder) and Quincy Williams (knee) were all full participants in practice Friday and are good to go for Sunday.

Patriots Week 10 injury report: Nine players, including team captain, questionable to play vs Colts

9 Patriots players are listed as questionable to play against the Colts on Sunday.

After ruling three players out on Thursday, the New England Patriots released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Nine players are questionable to play in Week 10 for New England, including team captain and special teams legend Matthew Slater. Along with cornerback Jack Jones, Slater was a new name on the list.

Special teams has been a problem for the Patriots this season. So the possibility of Slater not being on the field is something to keep an eye on this weekend.

Center David Andrews didn’t practice on Friday, but his absence was noted as not injury-related/rest. The offensive line will already be without Trent Brown in the lineup. At this point, Andrews is the primary offensive player keeping the unit from completely imploding into a bigger catastrophe than it already is at the moment.

Here are the full injury reports for the Patriots and Colts on Friday:

The season likely being a lost cause for the Patriots makes them a dangerous football team. They don’t have much to lose at this point. They’ll be punching up as underdogs against a flawed Colts team with a losing record.

Warren Sapp criticizes Devin White on social media for Week 9 play

This isn’t the first time Sapp has had an issue with Devin White’s play.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker [autotag]Devin White[/autotag] has once again found himself under fire from a Bucs defensive legend on social media after his performance against the Houston Texans in Week 9.

Former Tampa Bay defensive tackle and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp broke down a sequence on his Instagram for a segment he calls “SappInTheLab”, and it was one that heavily criticized Devin White. The play features a run from the Texans to the strong side of the field that LB Lavonte David blew up for a loss, but Sapp looked toward where White was on the field — White appears to completely miss Texans wideout Noah Brown coming for a block, and White is unable to get off of it after being blindsided. Check out Sapp’s analysis below:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CzeUf4xRMn2/

Sapp criticized White for not paying attention to the block, saying that if he played in an era Sapp did, he would have likely been entirely taken out of the play from a huge hit.

“[Brown] right here would have been Hines Ward, and [White] right here would have been called jacked up,” Sapp said. “That’s the difference in our game, because you get a little kiss. The linebacker don’t see it. What are you doing, son? Good God almighty.”

This isn’t the first time Sapp has had an issue with White. Sapp also broke down Tampa Bay’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football last year, criticizing his lack of effort and questioning his position as a team captain, saying that he would have “asked for the C off his chest.” At the time, White shrugged off the criticism by saying “People that know football know what was going on.”

White — and the rest of the defense — will look to rebound from the disastrous performance on Sunday when they face off against quarterback Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.

Detroit Lions final injury report for Week 10 vs. the Los Angeles Chargers

The Lions head to Los Angeles with every starter ready to roll and just one player ruled out for Week 10

Coming out of the bye week, the Detroit Lions are as healthy as they can reasonably expect to be in Week 10. Only one player has been officially ruled out from Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, with one other Lion doubtful for Week 10.

Offensive lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai is out with a back injury. Vaitai was already replaced in the starting lineup at right guard by Graham Glasgow, but this makes the move academic. Vaitai missed the 2022 season with a back injury and subsequent surgery.

The player listed as doubtful is defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike. He’s missed the last two practices with a hip issue. It’s unknown if Onwuzurike’s hip injury is related to his previous back injury. No player listed as doubtful and missing at least two days of practice has ever played during the Dan Campbell era, so consider Onwuzurike almost certain to be inactive in Los Angeles.

Two other reserves are listed as questionable. Lineman Dan Skipper and new wideout Donovan Peoples-Jones are both questionable with rib injuries.

No other players missed any practice time during the week, and none carry any injury designation into the trip to face the Chargers.

Saints rule out just two players on final injury report for Week 10 vs. Vikings

Saints rule out just two players on final injury report for Week 10 vs. Vikings

It’s rare to see the New Orleans Saints this healthy at midseason, but they’ve ruled out just two players for Week 10’s game with the Minnesota Vikings: rookies Kendre Miller (ankle) and Isaiah Foskey (quad), neither of whom have made their way into the starting lineup. One other player, fullback Adam Prentice (knee), is questionable.

So they’re looking remarkably healthy, especially compared to the Vikings. Minnesota ruled out just one player (rookie quarterback Jaren Hall, with a concussion) five others are questionable and a sixth player is doubtful for Sunday’s matchup. All-star wide receiver Justin Jefferson is questionable, too, but he isn’t expected to play while continuing to recover from a hamstring injury.

Bucs Final Week 10 Injury Report: One player ruled out, another doubtful

The Bucs have five questionable players for Sunday’s matchup, but they’re all important ones.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear to be in murky water heading into their next game against the Tennessee Titans.

The only player ruled out is cornerback Josh Hayes, with guard Matt Feiler doubtful, but it gets a little trickier than that. CB Jamel Dean was a full participant and is listed as questionable, but he’s still in concussion protocol and will need to pass it to play on Sunday. CB Carlton Davis is also purported to be a game-time decision by head coach Todd Bowles, so if both those players were out, Tampa Bay could have a very bad time. Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey is the only other player who was a limited participant.

Here’s what the final injury report for Week 10 looks like:

On Tennessee’s side, wideout Treylon Burks is officially out, as is former Bucs CB Sean Murphy-Bunting. Five total players are out for the Titans and two are questionable, though one of those questionable players is Ryan Tannehill — who isn’t starting anyway.

Patriots’ 53-man roster by jersey number ahead of Week 10

Here’s the Patriots’ 53-man roster ahead of Sunday’s road trip to Germany against the Colts.

It’ll be “guten morgen” for New England Patriots fans in the United States on Sunday morning, when the team takes on the Indianapolis Colts at Frankfurt Stadium in Germany.

A shockingly disappointing loss to the Washington Commanders, along with potential inner turmoil surrounding the team and coach Bill Belichick’s job status, served as the main talking points for the Patriots this week. There’s no better way of shutting up bad publicity than going out on the football field and performing well.

The Patriots will have an opportunity to do that against a Colts team seemingly handing out yards for free on the ground and through the air. Only the Commanders and Denver Broncos are allowing more points per game than the Colts this season.

New England only managed to come away with 17 points, even against a leaky Commanders defense. So they’ll have to be much better than they were a week ago to come away with a victory in this matchup. Offensive lineman Trent Brown, cornerback J.C. Jackson and wide receiver DeVante Parker have already been ruled out for this game,

Here’s the full Patriots’ 53-man roster ahead of the Week 10 meeting:

Saints vs. Vikings: 5 defining matchups to watch in Week 10 game

Danielle Hunter vs. Ryan Ramczyk is the premier matchup in Saints vs. Vikings. Minnesota has a few tendencies that could hurt the Saints.

The New Orleans Saints face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday and look to extend their winning streak to three games. New Orleans isn’t the only team on a winning streak. The Vikings have won their last four games after a 1-4 start to the season. That streak didn’t end despite having to lean on a quarterback who was so new he didn’t know his teammates’ names.

With each teams looking to extend a winning streak, there are certain matchups that will define this game. The Vikings have certain tendencies the Saints have previously struggled with. There is also a standout battle in the trenches that highlights the matchups in this game.

Week 10 Staff Picks: Final score predictions for Saints vs. Vikings

Week 10 Staff Picks: Final score predictions for Saints vs. Vikings are split on Sunday’s victor

Our staff picks are in for Week 10’s New Orleans Saints game, but the choice was hardly unanimous. Final score predictions for this matchup with the Minnesota Vikings are all over the place, and rightfully so: both teams are in the NFC playoff picture at 5-4, and there’s an element of unpredictability in Minnesota given all their recent changes (like trading for a new starting quarterback in Johsua Dobbs) and volatile trends (being the league’s blitz-heaviest defense).

Here’s how our staff writers see this one playing out:
