After dropping their last two games, the Chargers bounced back with a victory over the Eagles, led by a phenomenal performance from quarterback Justin Herbert.

Herbert finished 32 of 38 for 356 yards with three touchdowns and a completion percentage of 84.2.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen found his groove after being quiet the past few games, catching 12 of his 13 targets for 104 yards.

Highlights from NDSU QB Trey Lance’s second pro day

Three representatives from the Atlanta Falcons were in attendance on Monday to watch North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance throw at his second pro day.

Three representatives from the Atlanta Falcons were in attendance on Monday to watch North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance throw at his second pro day. The team was also present at Lance’s first pro day, but this time sent quarterbacks coach Charles London, passing game specialist T.J. Yates and scouting director Dwaune Jones.

Whether the Falcons actually intend to take a quarterback or are just trying to drive up the price of their No. 4 pick for a potential trade, the team is rightfully doing its due diligence on one of the most intriguing overall prospects in this year’s draft class.

Check out some highlights from Lance’s second pro day below, via the NFL’s Twitter account.

As we examined on Monday, Lance wasn’t initially thought to be in play for the 49ers, who traded up to pick No. 3 a few weeks ago. But the closer we get to draft day, the more it seems like a real possibility he lands in San Francisco.

The Falcons reportedly talked at length with Lance’s coaches and some believe the North Dakota State signal-caller won’t make it out of the top five.

First Half Highlights: Chargers vs. Jets

The Los Angeles Chargers are dominating the New York Jets.

The Chargers lead the Jets by the score of 24-6 at the halfway mark.

Quarterback Justin Herbert is cooking. Herbert has 277 yards and two touchdowns on 23-of-31 passing. The rookie has connected with his favorite target, wide receiver Keenan Allen, 10 times for 108 yards.

Herbert’s two touchdown passes went to wide receiver Mike Williams and tight end Hunter Henry.

There’s always at least one beautiful ball by Herbert in each game. That one went to wide receiver Tyron Johnson down the middle of the field for 54 yards.

The defense has limited New York to only 82 yards, which has been led by the performances of linebacker Denzel Perryman, who has a sack and a handful of run stops and cornerback Tevaughn Campbell, who has a interception .

Notre Dame in NFL: Watch Claypool’s two touchdowns for Steelers vs. Bengals

Chase Claypool scored twice on Sunday giving him nine touchdowns already in his NFL rookie season for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chase Claypool wasted no time bursting onto the scene with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the rookie receiver from Notre Dame was an immediate part of the offense starting in Week 1.

And that high starting point has only grown as the year has gone on for the now 9-0 Steelers after Claypool scored another pair of touchdowns on Sunday in a 36-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The first came with the Steelers leading 22-7 late in the third quarter and pretty much put things out of reach.

Roughly nine minutes later in the action Claypool was found again by Ben Roethlisberger for another score to extend the lead to the eventual final score, 36-10.

Claypool’s two touchdowns give him nine total scores on the year, good for a tie for the third most in the entire NFL as he trails only Dalvin Cook and Tyreek Hill in total touchdowns scored.

Claypool helped Notre Dame win their final six games of the 2019 season and has helped Pittsburgh win their first nine games of 2020.  The last game he played was over a full calendar year ago when the Irish fell in blowout fashion at Michigan in late October.

Falcons 2020 training camp: Calvin Ridley highlights

Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley isn’t shying away from expectations as he enters his third NFL season.

Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley isn’t shying away from expectations as he enters his third NFL season. The former Alabama standout is one of the league’s premier route-runners, but has primarily been the third receiving option since joining the team in 2018.

That should change in 2020 with TE Austin Hooper and WR Mohamed Sanu out of the picture. Over his first two seasons, Ridley has caught 127 balls for 1,687 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns.

Since it’s a slow news day, the Falcons’ Twitter account was kind enough to drop a new Ridley highlight video from training camp. Check it out below.

Falcons LB Deion Jones relives game-clinching INT vs. Saints

The Falcons gave middle linebacker Deion Jones a long-term extension in 2019 because he’s a perfect fit for the modern NFL game.

Jones is fast, physical and exceptional in coverage. No play better showcases this than his leaping interception of Drew Brees in the red zone to seal a win over the Saints back in 2017.

Atlanta’s young play-maker recently relived the incredible game-saving pick for the team’s official website. Check out this awesome Falcons moment, as described in Jones’ own words below:
