The Packers will hope to leave Sao Paulo with the same momentum they built last season. Green Bay surprised many with their run to the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs. The emergence of quarterback Jordan Love played a big part, and he was recently rewarded for it with a massive new contract.

On the flip side, Philly will want to start 2024 in a rebounding fashion. After reaching the Super Bowl two years ago, the Eagles slumped last season. Head coach Nick Sirianni needs a positive start to next year if he wants job security.

Will the Pack take that next step out of the gate? Could the Eagles right the ship? Tickets for this contest start as low as $194.

NBC reveals Peacock broadcast team for Eagles-Packers matchup in Brazil

Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst) and Kaylee Hartung (sideline reporter) will call the Green Bay Packers-Philadelphia Eagles game in primetime on Peacock on Friday, Sept. 6 in São Paulo,Brazil.

The Eagles will host the Packers in primetime on Peacock on Friday, Sept. 6, in São Paulo. Peacock will be the exclusive national home of the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Brazil.

NBC just announced that Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Todd Blackledge (analyst), and Kaylee Hartung (sideline reporter) will be on the call in São Paulo for the season opener for both clubs.

Eagle, who earlier this year won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Emerging On Air, and Blackledge, NBC Sports’ Big Ten Saturday Night commentary team, called last season’s AFC Wild Card matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans, as well as a Cincinnati Bengals-Pittsburgh Steelers matchup in late December. Hartung was the sideline reporter for Peacock’s exclusive presentation of the Dolphins-Chiefs AFC Wild Card game in January 2024, and is the sideline reporter for Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football.

The Peacock exclusive NFL game from São Paulo on Friday night will follow the Thursday night (Sept. 5) NFL Kickoff game on NBC and Peacock, between the Super Bowl champion Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.

The network also announced that in early September, Peacock will feature four consecutive nights of primetime football:

· Thurs., Sept. 5 — NFL Kickoff Game: Ravens at Chiefs (NBC, Peacock)
· Fri., Sept. 6 — Peacock Exclusive NFL Game from São Paulo, Brazil
· Sat., Sept. 7 – Big Ten Saturday Night: Colorado at Nebraska (NBC, Peacock)
· Sun., Sept. 8 – Season Debut of Primetime’s #1 Show: Sunday Night Football: Rams at Lions (NBC, Peacock)

This will be the Eagles’ second International Series Game in the regular season. They played in London during the 2018 campaign and defeated Jacksonville, 24-18, at Wembley Stadium. The Eagles played preseason games in Mexico City in 1978, London in 1989 and ’91, and Tokyo in 1993.

Home to the Brazilian soccer team SC Corinthians, the stadium was an official venue for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.

Jordan Love is a star, and two years ago at Lincoln Financial Field, he made a huge impression on the Eagles and cornerback Darius Slay.

Green Bay is loaded and coming off a playoff appearance, and the matchup would feature elite playmakers at quarterback, wide receiver, RB, CB, and pass rusher.

Broncos won’t play an international game in 2024

The Broncos won’t have an international game in 2024. Denver will host eight games and the Broncos will play nine road games stateside.

We already know the Denver Broncos’ upcoming opponents, and we’ll find out the team’s full 2024 schedule with dates and times in May.

We also know that the Broncos will not play abroad this fall.

The NFL has announced the “home” teams for the five international games in 2024 and none of them are set to host Denver next season.

The Philadelphia Eagles (Brazil), Chicago Bears (England), Minnesota Vikings (England), Jacksonville Jaguars (England) and Carolina Panthers (Germany) will “host” games outside the United States this fall.

The Broncos do have the Panthers on their list of 2024 opponents, but that game will be played at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. So the Broncos won’t have an international game during the 2024 season.

Denver last played abroad in 2022 when they defeated the Jaguars 21-17 at Wembley Stadium in London. Each NFL team is required to play at least one international game every eight years. Beginning in 2025, up to eight international games will be scheduled each season. That would involve 16 teams, giving half the league an international game each year.

So the Broncos will likely have another international game in the not-too-distant future, and Mexico is the most likely location. The NFL won’t play in Mexico in 2024 due to construction at Estadio Azteca. Once those renovations are complete, Denver will be a strong candidate to play in Mexico. This year, though, all of the team’s games will be played in the USA.

Will the Dolphins play in Brazil in 2024?

Brazil will host an NFL game in 2024. Dot-connecting leads one to believe the Dolphins might be a strong candidate to play in the game.

The NFL confirmed Wednesday that a to-be-announced regular-season game will be played at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil in 2024. The designated “home” team for that game is expected to be announced in January.

The NFL’s Global Markets Program (formerly called International Home Market Areas) might provide clues as to who will “host” that game.

There are 14 countries in the program and most of them have multiple teams designated to them. Brazil has just one designated team: the Miami Dolphins.

Back when the program was announced in 2021 as IHMA, the NFL said: “The league will use its best efforts to ensure clubs play their international games in their international HMAs, where possible.”

So that doesn’t mean teams will exclusively play international games in their designated market, but when possible, they will. Given that the Brazil market was awarded to Miami, the Dolphins might be a strong candidate to “host” the South America game in 2024.

Miami just played an international game in Germany earlier this year, so that might make a trip to Brazil in 2024 less likely, but the league will begin playing up to eight international games per season in 2025. Once that happens, half the league will play an international game every year. So playing outside the U.S. frequently could become the norm soon.

Miami is also one of the league’s most willing teams to play internationally (only the Jacksonville Jaguars have played more games outside the USA). Last year, Peter King of NBC Sports wrote that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross “may push for a game in Brazil or Spain as early as 2024.”

Earlier this month, John Sutcliffe of ESPN Deportes reported that the Brazil game could be played in Week 1, and he also named the Dolphins as a potential candidate to feature in the game.

For now, Miami playing in Brazil next season is just a possibility. Based on the language of the league’s Global Markets Program, though, Dolphins fans should probably be following NFL’s upcoming international announcements. We’ll find out more in January.
