Damon Kaylor is heading home. The former Michigan State football lineman announced on Monday that he will be transferring to Ball State. Kaylor is a 6’6″, 315-pound lineman who was a 3-star recruit in the 2019 recruiting class.

Kaylor is just the next in a long exodus of former Mark Dantonio recruits to leave the program after Mel Tucker took the reins. Kaylor is from Huntington North High School, not too far from Muncie, Indiana, home of Ball State.

Nine days ago, Michigan State football lost their presumptive kicker of the future, Jack Olsen, to the transfer portal. On Tuesday, he found a new home, and MSU will now face their former young kicker in week one of the season.

Olsen announced his commitment to Northwestern on Tuesday night on Twitter. The Spartans will face Northwestern in Evanston on Sep. 4.

Olsen announced his commitment after the spring game, but it seems like that decision may have been made back in January when Matt Coghlin announced that he would use his extra year of eligibility to return for a sixth and final season.

Michigan State is continuing to remain active in the transfer portal, and could be landing a former top wide receiver prospect leaving Ohio State.

Jameson Williams — a former four-star wide receiver and Ohio State Buckeye — revealed his finalists for where he’ll be transferring this offseason and Michigan State is still in the mix. The Spartans are joined by Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Florida, USC and Michigan.

A decision from Williams is expected to come very soon, according to Allen Trieu of 247Sports.

Williams — originally from St. Louis — was ranked as the No. 13 wide receiver and No. 82 overall prospect in the 2019 class by 247Sports.

William had 15 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns in the two seasons he played at Ohio State. That included three receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown in this year’s College Football Playoff semifinal win over Clemson.

Trieu has the full story on Williams and where he might end up. Click here to read more on Williams and if the Spartans will land yet another big-time transfer.

Texas Basketball: Horns land commitment from Vanderbilt forward Dylan Disu

The SEC’s leading rebounder, Dylan Disu, has decided to transfer from Vanderbilt and join the Chris Beard era in Austin.

The Texas basketball program has made quick use of the NCAA transfer portal since the arrival of head coach Chris Beard.

Beard was able to land a three-time All-Pac-12 player in Timmy Allen from Utah along with Creighton’s Christian Bishop and Kentucky’s Devin Askew. This type of roster overhaul has been the type of change that Texas fans wanted to see in the post-Shaka Smart era.

A few days ago, the Longhorns were tied to another highly sought-after player through the transfer portal in Vanderbilt’s star forward Dylan Disu.

On Monday, the SEC’s leading rebounder and Pflugerville native chose to come home. Disu announced via Twitter on Monday that he has committed to the University of Texas.

With Kai Jones entering the 2021 NBA draft and the uncertainty of Jericho Sims and Greg Brown’s futures in Austin, it was fortunate for the team to land a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward. Disu can not only secure rebounds, he’s been a lethal scoring threat from the field, three-point range and the free-throw line.

The addition of Disu is another positive step for the Texas basketball program.

Eimer redshirted this past season and never took an official snap for the Spartans.

Coming out of high school, Eimer was rated a five-star long snapper and ranked as the No. 15 prospect by Rubio Long Snapping.

Former five-star linebacker, Alabama transfer Ben Davis commits to Texas

Alabama transfer linebacker Ben Davis officially announced his commitment to the University of Texas on Monday.

In early March, a report from Inside Texas stated that Alabama graduate transfer linebacker Ben Davis was expected to join Steve Sarkisian’s roster in Austin.

The former five-star prospect officially announced his commitment to the University of Texas on April 26. Davis spent five years in Tuscaloosa, redshirting his freshman year in 2016. He appeared in 23 games and recorded eight tackles, one sack and one pass breakup.

Davis ultimately chose to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Feb. 15 and was one of the most highly sought-after players in the portal.

In the 2016 recruiting class, Davis was rated the No. 1 player from the state of Alabama and a top 10 player in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound playmaker will make an immediate impact for Texas in the hybrid outside linebacker/defensive end role called the Jack. The Longhorns have now brought in LSU’s Ray Thornton, Notre Dame’s Ovie Oghoufo, New Mexico State’s Devin Richardson and Davis to try and fill the void of production left by Joseph Ossai.

Michigan State football senior DL DeAri Todd enters NCAA transfer portal

Another Spartan has entered the transfer portal, this time senior DeAri Todd who will leave as a grad transfer.

It’s kind of crazy that the team that has probably been the most active in the transfer portal this year is having their craziest day of transfers to date, but that’s the story for Michigan State football this Monday, as a slew of players transferred out of the program following Saturday’s spring practice.

One of the latest transfers on Monday was DeAri Todd, a senior defensive lineman out of Lorain, Ohio. He was a former 3-star tackle in the 2017 recruiting class.

Todd told fans that he is graduating from MSU this year and will leave as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility left.
