Four San Antonio Spurs see ratings updated for NBA 2K24

A number of San Antonio players saw their ratings changed in the latest granular assessment of play in the league.

Now that the NBA’s trade deadline and 2024 All-Star Week are behind fans of the San Antonio Spurs, they can turn their attention to the news that really matters for the rest of the season (at least, to the gamers, anyway) — the arrival of a new set of NBA 2K24 overall player ratings for the Spurs.

A number of San Antonio players saw their ratings changed in the latest granular assessment of play in the league for the popular basketball simulation game, and most of them were positive. A total of four such players were updated, with three of the four seeing rises.

Let’s take a look at which players, and how they were assessed in this update.

Several Chicago Bulls get updated overall player ratings for NBA 2K24

And despite how this season has been going might make you think, they are mostly for the better!

The NBA has put the All-Star Game and All-Star Week festivities behind them as the Chicago Bulls and the rest of the league gears up for the stretch run. But there is at least one other annual update to consider for fans of the video game version of the Association.

The folks who keep the NBA 2K franchise running smoothly and up-to-date on the state of the play (and players) of the league have updated overall player ratings around the Association. Those updates include a number of players on the Chicago Bulls roster (and most of them are for good), reflecting internal development on the team.

So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at which Bulls saw their player ratings change with the new update.

Celtics see several players change in new NBA 2K ratings update

A number of Boston Celtics players have seen their overall player ratings change.

With the NBA’s All-Star Game for 2024 now in the rearview mirror, we can also take a look at some other timely news that may have been a bit obscured by the All-Star Week festivities taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana. The folks behind the popular NBA basketball simulation video game, NBA 2K, have updated this year’s overall player ratings for NBA 2K24!

And with that update, a number of Boston Celtics players have also seen their overall player ratings change, mostly for the good (and a few for the worse). The news is, as we alluded, mostly positive for the Celtics seeing changes to their ratings.

So all that said, let’s take a look at which Celtics’ ratings have changed — and to what.

San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama sees overall NBA 2K rating go up

San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama is turning heads this season for good reason, and not just on the basketball court

San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama is turning heads this season for good reason, and not just on the basketball court. The Frenchman just saw his NBA 2K24 rating raised to 89 at the midseason ratings assessment for the popular NBA basketball simulation video game.

“On February 12, (Wembanyama) recorded a triple-double with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and an astonishing 10 blocks, becoming the first rookie since 1990 to achieve this marvelous feat,” notes NBA 2k. “The rookie center-forward has not only lived up to the lofty expectations set by pundits this season—he’s exceeding them at a historic pace.”

“During the last two weeks, Wembanyama has averaged 19.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.6 blocks per game.”

“On the season, the 20-year-old French star is averaging 3.2 blocks per game, which leads the league this year,” adds NBA 2K. “Wembanyama isn’t even 50 games into his NBA career yet, and he’s already rewriting the record books.”

We kind of get the feeling they might need to recalibrate the ratings system by the time Wemby hits his prime, but that’s just us.

High School Esports: ‘NBA 2K24’ championship results for Fall 2023 season

Top two teams in each region/state for fall 2023 “NBA 2K24”

The 2023 Fall Season has come to an end for high school esports teams, with the championship matchups wrapping up competition on the PlayVS platform.

State titles for the growing sport have been officially recognized by the NFHS Network and state associations, creating even more awareness for the teams across North America.

With that in mind, here is the “NBA 2K24” champion and runner-up in each state/region.

The worst games of 2023 according to Metacritic user scores

It’s not a pretty task, but we’ve sorted through the rubble and picked out the worst games of 2023 according to Metacritic user scores.

Going through the worst video games of 2023 based on Metacritic scores sure is a ride. While you’ve got your usual complaints – too many microtransactions, not enough to do, and things like that – there’s a streak of broken promises and severe pushback against questionable monetization that runs through most of them this year. Kickstarter backers expected more, sports fans got less, and tight publishing schedules meant some games shipped long before they should have. Then there was Activision Blizzard, whose games just did not fare well with consumers this year.

It’s not a pretty task, but we’ve sorted through the rubble and picked out the worst games of 2023 according to Metacritic user scores.

Rasheed Wallace explains why he isn’t on the NBA 2K24 video game

UNC legend Rasheed Wallace explains why he isn’t on this year’s NBA 2K24 video game while on the Gils Arena Show.

Former UNC Tar Heel[autotag] Rasheed Wallace[/autotag] is back in the spotlight, dishing out stories about his playing days and answering mysteries that people wondered about that only he would know.

A question on a few minds is why Wallace wasn’t featured anywhere on the new NBA 2k game. Well, Wallace revealed the reason to Gilbert Arenas on a recent episode of the Gils Arena Show, explaining that he won’t be on NBA2k24 or any moving forward until they “CTC (cut the check).

According to Wallace, he was offered 10k to be in the game. Instead, he passed due to how much the company makes, feeling the 10k was not enough for his likeness to a company that makes so much money. The segment was clipped and has since garnered over 2 Million views.

Wallace not being on 2k is a huge deal, with him being so instrumental to the 2004 Detroit Pistons Championship run and his impact on the Portland Trailblazers from 96-03. Wallace isn’t the first NBA legend to decline to be on the video game, joining Charles Barkley, who has criticized 2k for years to give players more money to have their likeness used.
