Top five interior offensive linemen signed to the Big Ten during the early signing period #GoBucks

The initial hype of the early signing period has died down, but there was a ton of talent to explore and so much so we are breaking it down by position. We have already dove into the top five quarterbacksrunning backswide receivers, tight ends and offensive tackles to sign with Big Ten teams and now we want to break down a position that Ohio State actually makes an appearance on after the two position dry-spell in interior offensive linemen.

The Big Ten can recruit linemen and apparently, that is especially true when it comes to the interior as the conference has snagged five of the top ten prospects at the position in the country. Interior offensive linemen are players who are projected to play at either center or guard in college.

A new West Coast addition snagged the top honors, but there are some traditional Big Ten powers making an appearance as well. Let’s now dive into the top five interior offensive lineman to sign with Big Ten teams during the early signing period according to 247Sports.

2024 4-star OT Nathan Roy commits to Minnesota over MSU, UCLA

A big-time offensive tackle prospect in the 2024 class has picked a Big Ten peer over the Spartans

A big-time offensive tackle prospect in the 2024 class has picked a Big Ten peer over the Spartans.

Four-star offensive tackle Nathan Roy officially committed to Minnesota on Saturday evening. Roy was a big-time Michigan State target who was also considering UCLA.

Roy ranks as the No. 13 offensive tackle and No. 174 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class. He’s also listed as the top player from Wisconsin.

Michigan State hosted Roy last week for an official visit and this past weekend took an official visit to Minnesota. It was considered to be a close battle for his commitment and it appears that the Golden Gophers were the big winners after the pair of official visits.

Michigan State football OL prospect chooses elsewhere, focus shifts to Ohio twins

MSU lost out on prospect Nathan Roy, but still have a chance to finish their 2024 OL class strong:

Michigan State was all in on several offensive line prospects this summer, with one being Wisconsin native Nathan Roy. Roy officially visited Michigan State last weekend, and UCLA last month, and it appeared that it was going to be a head to head battle between the Spartans and Bruins. In an unforeseen turn of events, Roy made the decision to commit to the Minnesota Golden Gophers on his final visit this weekend, leaving the Spartans and Bruins behind.

Now, all of MSU’s attention will go to Cincinnati twins Charlton and Mercer Luniewski, who are set to visit this upcoming weekend. The talented twins could be the last two pieces of the Spartans 2024 offensive line class, and after a plethora of camp MVP awards this summer, would be a great finishing piece.

The Spartans will also host top-100 4-star DeAndre Carter, but competition will be stiff in his recruitment.

Nathan Roy, a three-star defensive lineman from Wisconsin announced his top seven programs on Thursday, which the Badgers were a part of. The 6-foot-5, 265 pound athlete still has one more year of football with Mukwonago High School before he could potentially join a college program.

To this point, Roy has received eight offers from Big Ten schools, four of which are in his top seven (Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Minnesota. Considering he’s from the state, Wisconsin has a real solid shot at landing the recruit.

If he does end up choosing Madison, he could be blocking for four-star class of 2024 quarterback Mabrey Mettauer (The Woodlands, Texas) for years to come.

The Buckeyes stay active on the recruiting trail again #GoBucks

The phones at the [autotag]Woody Hayes Athletic Center[/autotag] must be going off the hook for the [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] staff. The Buckeye brass has been super active on the recruiting trail the last few days, with one of the highlights being an offer to 2026 quarterback Julian Lewis.

The action didn’t stop with Lewis. Many more offers have gone out over the last day or so. There wasn’t a specific focus on who the offers went out to — or even a specific class. They were all over the board.

Wisconsin football offers 2024 in-state OL Nathan Roy

Wisconsin offers its fourth in-state player in the 2024 recruiting cycle:

After an unofficial visit to Madison this past weekend, Paul Chryst and his coaching staff offered 2024 offensive lineman Nathan Roy out of Mukwonago, Wisconsin.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound OL currently holds offers from Central Michigan, Iowa State, Minnesota, Penn State, and now his home state, Wisconsin Badgers.

Although he is currently unranked by all reputable recruiting services, Roy has seen his recruitment take off in September, earning four Power 5 scholarship offers.

Roy, a talented defensive end, also appears to be on the Badgers’ radar as an offensive lineman and spoke with Bob Bostad following the team’s 17-14 loss to Washington State.

The Mukwonago High School standout is just the fourth in-state player to receive a scholarship offer from the Badgers in the 2024 recruiting cycle, joining Corey Smith, Donovan Harbour, and Sam Pilof.

The Wisconsin native announced his scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin via his Twitter account:
