Broncos fans loved the way Peyton Manning signed off on the ‘ManningCast’

“Watch out for my Broncos,” Peyton Manning said at the end of the ManningCast. “The Broncos are coming.”

Following the Houston Texans’ 34-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football this week, Peyton Manning signed off on the ManningCast with a message loved by Denver Broncos fans.

“Watch out for my Broncos,” Manning said. “The Broncos are coming.”

Manning, of course, played the final four years of his career in Denver from 2012-2015. Manning helped the Broncos win the AFC West in all four of those seasons and they reached a pair of Super Bowls. Manning retired from the NFL after winning Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season.

Manning, 48, still lives in the Denver area and he has tickets to attend the team’s home games. Even though he does not hold an official position with the Broncos, Manning has remained closely connected to the team.

Denver is scheduled to host the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in Week 13. Unfortunately, there’s no ManningCast scheduled for that game, so Broncos fans won’t get to hear Manning call one of their games this year, at least not during the regular season.

NFL makes ‘Monday Night Football’ flex decision for Week 13

The NFL has opted to keep the Broncos-Browns game as the ‘Monday Night Football’ matchup in Week 13. No flex.

The NFL has made a decision on the Monday Night Football matchup for Week 13.

The Denver Broncos (6-5) hosting the Cleveland Browns (2-8) will remain the MNF game after the league opted not to flex it out of the prime-time window. Denver will host Cleveland on Monday, Dec. 2.

The game will be nationally televised on ESPN beginning at 6:15 p.m. MT and available to stream on fuboTV (try it free). Unfortunately, there’s no ManningCast scheduled for the Broncos-Browns game.

First things first, Denver will go on the road to face the Las Vegas Raiders (2-8) in a Sunday afternoon game on Nov. 24. After that, the Broncos will play on MNF before a bye in Week 14.

If Denver is going to make the NFL playoffs this season, beating the next two winnable games on the schedule will be key. The Broncos will have four games remaining after the bye, including a big road game against the Cincinnati Bengals (4-7) in Week 17. If both teams are still in the playoff hunt, the Broncos-Bengals game will be a candidate to get flexed into a nationally-televised window.

Former Spartan gets start on Monday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys are giving a former Spartan a start on MNF against the Texans

Michigan State football defensive back alumnus Josh Butler is making his first career start on Monday Night Football for the Dallas Cowboys.

Butler played for Michigan State from 2015-2019, before going undrafted in the NFL Draft. While taking an unconventional route to the NFL, Butler excelled when he played for the Michigan Panthers in the USFL this past season, earning him a shot with the Dallas Cowboys.

The shot for Butler just intensified, and the Cowboys will now give the former Spartan the chance to start on Monday Night Football against the Houston Texans.

Will Derek Stingley Jr. play on Monday Night Football?: Update on Texans CB

Derek Stingley Jr. has been dealing with a hip injury leading up to Monday’s showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Houston Texans are gaining back wide receiver Nico Collins and defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr. for Monday’s showdown in Arlington against the Dallas Cowboys.

While the duo are a welcomed addition to the lineup, Houston (6-4) could be without two starters in the secondary. Rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter suffered a concussion during the third quarter of Week 10’s loss against the Detroit Lions and remains in the league’s protocol.

Fellow cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. played through an injury and now could be out for the Lone Star Battle in what feels like a must-win game for Houston.

Here’s an update on the Texans’ star defender heading into their fourth primetime game.

Derek Stingley Jr. injury update

Stingley was listed on the report as having a hip injury and did not practice Thursday afternoon. He returned Friday as a limited participant and was back at full speed during Saturday’s walkthrough.

There’s a chance he still appears on the injury report as questionable, but the former No. 3 overall pick seems to be trending toward playing at AT&T Stadium.

According to KRPC2 Sports’ Aaron Wilson, Stingley is not dealing with anything serious.

Derek Stingley stats

Stingley, the first-round pick out of LSU in 2022, has been one of the league’s top corners in 2024. According to Pro Football Focus, he currently has a 66.8 overall grade and a 65.8 coverage grade.

In 10 games, Stingley has 10 pass deflections and one interception.

Texans CB depth chart

With Stingley and Lassiter potentially out, here’s the rest of the cornerbacks on the active roster:

  • Ka’dar Hollman.
  • Jeff Okudah
  • Kris Boyd

Okudah, who signed a one-year deal this offseason after four years with the Lions and Atlanta Falcons, was designated to return to practice from the injured reserve last week. While he’s practicing, the former No. 3 overall pick has not been added to the active roster yet.

The Texans could also elevate D’Angelo Ross, who was added back to the practice squad earlier this week. He started two games in place of Lassiter when the second-round pick was dealing with a shoulder injury.

Kickoff from AT&T Stadium is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN and ABC.

Texans legend J.J. Watt to be a part of Monday Night Football fun

J.J. Watt might not be on the field, but he’ll be on Monday Night Football when the Houston Texans take on the Dallas Cowboys.

The last time the Houston Texans were on “Monday Night Football,” J.J. Watt appeared on the television screen.

Five years might have passed and Watt might have retired, but the former All-Pro defensive end will still appear on your television when Houston faces off against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.

Watt will appear on the “ManningCast” alternate telecast on ESPN2 opposite Peyton and Eli Manning during Monday’s game. The national broadcast will air on ABC and ESPN beginning at 7:15 p.m. CT.

Watt, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year during his 10 seasons with the Texans, will appear during the fourth quarter with the Manning brothers. Former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick will appear during the first half for his weekly segment.

While many Texans fans have been waiting for Watt to come out of retirement, at least they’ll see the top defensive player in franchise history talk about the program in prominence on national television.

The Texans will be playing their first Monday night outing since Sept. 9, 2019, when they opened the season with a 30-28 loss against the New Orleans Saints. That also marked the first appearance of Laremy Tunsil in a Houston uniform after the preseason trade leading into the new campaign.

The Texans (6-4) trail the series against the Cowboys (3-6) all-time at 4-2.

What uniforms will the Texans, Cowboys wear on Monday Night Football?

Here’s what the Texans will be wearing on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

A new week, a new uniform combination.

The Houston Texans will head out to Arlington to take on the Dallas Cowboys, looking for their seventh victory and a way to end the two-game losing streak.

The Cowboys love their all-white look on the primetime stage, so Houston must counteract. The AFC South leaders will wear their all-navy blue fit with their traditional helmets.

Here’s a look at the design below:

This marks the second time Houston has donned the all-navy look, with the first coming in Week 7’s loss against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Texans should be in better shape on offense with the return of receiver Nico Collins, who was designated to return last week. Collins, who led the NFL in receiving yards the first five weeks, did not play in Sunday’s 26-23 loss to the Detroit Lions, but coach DeMeco Ryans said it wasn’t because of a setback.

Second-year quarterback C.J. Stroud has struggled at times during Collins’ five-game hiatus. With the fourth-year starter in the lineup, the offense averaged 277 yards through the air while Stroud completed 69% of his passes.

Without Collins, Houston has averaged 197.2  passing yards per game. Stroud completed just 55% of his throws.

PFF: Patrick Mahomes was Chiefs’ highest-graded player vs. Buccaneers

According to Pro Football Focus, Patrick Mahomes was the #Chiefs’ highest-graded player in Kansas City’s Week 9 win over the #Buccaneers.

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 9 and hold an 8-0 record heading into Week 10.

For most of the season, the Chiefs’ perfect start was attributed to Kansas City’s outstanding defensive unit, which has been among the NFL’s best.

However, since the Chiefs’ acquisition of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and two resurgent performances by tight end Travis Kelce, it has been Kansas City’s offense, led by reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, that has swung the outcomes of the defending champions’ games.

The experts at Pro Football Focus took notice of Mahomes’ stellar performance against the Buccaneers in primetime, and made him the Chiefs’ highest-graded player:

Mahomes completed 34 of his 44 attempts against Tampa Bay for 291 yards and three touchdowns and managed to avoid throwing an interception to let the Buccaneers seize momentum.

Expect Mahomes to put together another stellar performance against the Denver Broncos in Week 10.

Chiefs vs. Buccaneers: WR DeAndre Hopkins scores go-ahead touchdown

#Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins scored a go-ahead touchdown that put Kansas City in a position to beat the #Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”

The Kansas City Chiefs entered Week 9 in search of their eighth-straight win to start the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on ‘Monday Night Football.’

After Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw the game-tying touchdown pass to running back Samaje Perine, Kansas City’s defense stepped up on the next possession to force Tampa Bay into a quick three-and-out.

Mahomes, who struggled to start the second half, was taken off the field after his touchdown pass to Perine when he aggravated an ankle injury he sustained against the Las Vegas Raiders last week.

However, the reigning Super Bowl MVP immediately re-joined the Chiefs’ offense to orchestrate a flawless drive that ended in a go-ahead touchdown pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Take a look at this video of the game-changing play, which was posted by the Chiefs’ official Twitter account:

Stay tuned to see if Kansas City can close out the win to keep its perfect season intact.

Mecole Hardman injury vs Buccaneers: Latest news on Chiefs WR

#Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman is dealing with a shoulder injury. Here are the latest updates.

The Kansas City Chiefs are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Week 9 “Monday Night Football” showdown at Arrowhead Stadium.

Unfortunately, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman was injured in the first quarter of the game and had to leave the field. According to a report from the team on Twitter, Hardman sustained a shoulder injury.

Mecole Hardman Injury Update

Hardman left the game in the first quarter to have his shoulder evaluated by medical staff. It is unknown if he will return to Monday night’s game.

How long will Mecole Hardman be out?

It is unclear how long the wide receiver will be out. For now, the Chiefs have Hardman listed as questionable to return.

Chiefs WR depth chart

Hardman’s injury will force Kansas City to rely on DeAndre Hopkins, Justin Watson, Xavier Worthy, and Justyn Ross.

Stay tuned for the latest updates on the veteran pass-catcher’s condition as the game continues.

Chiefs vs. Buccaneers Week 9: How to watch, listen and stream

Check out everything you need to know to watch the #Chiefs’ Week 9 matchup against the #Buccaneers on “Monday Night Football.”

The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after eight weeks and are headed back home to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday, November 4 in a Super Bow LV rematch.

The Chiefs have continued to make big moves ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline, adding pass rusher Joshua Uche via trade from the New England Patriots earlier this week on top of their acquisition of veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins last week.

Kansas City remains the hottest team in the league, and the additions of Hopkins and Uche will undoubtedly provide a shot in the arm for the Chiefs as they look to keep their perfect season intact.
