June 23-25 recruiting weekend, expected official visitors coming to Michigan football

Another important weekend for Michigan! #GoBlue

June is winding down and Michigan football has had quite the list of recruits visiting campus this month. The Wolverines have even scored some commitments coming out of those official visits from the 2024 prospects.

Heading into the June 23 recruiting weekend, the Wolverines are set to host some more top targets.

Although targets like running back Taylor Tatum and Edge defender Darien Mayo will not be on campus. Michigan got commitments from three-star running back Micah Kaapana and three-star Edge Devon Baxter this past weekend and now the Taylor and Mayo are trending elsewhere.

But it’s still an important recruiting weekend for Michigan and we are going to show you who is supposed to be visiting for their official visits for the June 23 weekend.

Michigan football makes top five for 2024 4-star athlete

Another Edge prospect considering #Michigan!

It’s just another day now when Michigan football becomes a finalist for a big-time recruit.

The Wolverines were named in the final five for 2024 four-star athlete, Jayshawn Ross. The Kansas City (Missouri) Liberty North prospect is listed as an athlete, but Ross is expected to play Edge at the college level. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Edge is a four-star according to the Composite. Ross is the 285th-ranked player in the class and the 21st-ranked Edge recruit in the 2024 cycle.

Ross listed Michigan in his final five along with Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, and Oklahoma.

When you look at 247Sports, there are zero Crystal Ball predictions in for Ross. But according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ross is a heavy Oklahoma lean. The Sooners have an 89.9% chance to land the four-star Edge.

Ross has yet to take an official visit to Michigan. Getting him on campus could be a big development for the Wolverines.

2024 4-star edge sets commitment date, Michigan in final three, OSU out

#Michigan is looking real, real good here. #GoBlue

Four-star edge defender Elias Rudolph was recently in Ann Arbor for an official visit. From the way it looks, Rudolph had a great time, and the Wolverines appear to be trending for him.

On Monday, the one-time Cincinnati (Ohio) Taft football player announced he plans to commit on July 3. The kicker was Rudolph said he would not take his official visit to Ohio State this weekend. At one point, recruiting analysts were heavily picking Rudolph to go to the Buckeyes, and OSU was the main team the maize and blue needed to beat.

Rudolph later tweeted his final three was Michigan, Miami and Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound edge defender, who now plays in Deerfield Beach (Florida), is a four-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite. He is the 256th-ranked prospect in the class and the 20th-best edge in the 2024 cycle.

There are four crystal ball predictions in for Michigan and one for Ohio State — that’s not happening. And according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine, the Wolverines have a 91.1% chance of landing the highly touted edge rusher.

As of this writing, Michigan has 21 commitments in the class and zero edge rushers. However, the Wolverines are trending to land three-star edge Devon Baxter, who is set to announce his commitment on Monday night.

Some serious talent taking official visits this weekend! #GoBlue

The Wolverines also had multiple priority targets on campus, including four-star cornerback Bryce West, who has since narrowed his finalists to Michigan and Ohio State.

The June 16 official visit weekend is upon us. While the Wolverines do not have any five-star talent scheduled to visit Ann Arbor this weekend, some big names and targets will be.

According to the 247Sports official visit list, Michigan will have 10 players taking official visits from the 2024 class.

Here are the players that will be on campus this weekend.

Top 2024 CB target eliminates USC, down to Michigan football and the Buckeyes

Let’s beat the Buckeyes again!

Michigan will have a good showing again this weekend when it plays host to some big names for official visits, but the Wolverines are coming off a gigantic recruiting weekend last week.

The Wolverines had two five-stars on campus, plus some priority targets. One in particular was Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville cornerback, Bryce West.

West was on campus on June 9 for the weekend, and it appeared he hit off with the recruits and Michigan commits. West was scheduled to visit USC this weekend, but he canceled the visit with the Trojans according to On3. He announced the battle to land him is down to Michigan and Ohio State.

West, a four-star, is the 49th-ranked player in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports composite. He is the No. 4 cornerback in the cycle and the top-ranked player in the state of Ohio.

According to the recruiting services, the Buckeyes have a big lead for West. Seven crystal ball predictions are in for West to select OSU. The On3 recruiting prediction machine gives Ohio State a 97.2% chance to land West.

But Michigan has won one big battle with the Buckeyes on the 2024 trail thus far. The Wolverines landed four-star running back Jordan Marshall, an Ohio native, over the Buckeyes. The maize and blue have four Ohio commitments in the class.

Michigan football offers rising 2025 Ohio QB product

He is a gamer for sure!

Michigan has its 2024 quarterback in the fold after getting a commitment from five-star Jadyn Davis.

Now the focus has shifted to see which signal-caller the Wolverines can secure in the 2025 cycle. The big fish is five-star Bryce Underwood of Belleville (Michigan), but the Wolverines have also been in talks with five-star George MacIntyre out of Brentwood (Tennessee). The Wolverines are also working Ohio native Ryan Montgomery. On Wednesday, Michigan offered another Ohio kid, Tavien St. Clair.

St. Clair is a rising four-star quarterback from Bellefontaine (Ohio). The 6-foot-3 gun-slinger took to Twitter to announce his offer from the Wolverines.

St. Clair is a four-star quarterback according to 247Sports, but he is a three-star on the 247Sports composite. He is the 337th-ranked recruit in the 2025 cycle and the 26th-best quarterback.

St. Clair has been visiting camps this spring and summer. He has been picking up big-time offers left and right. Not only has Michigan offered him, but so have Alabama, Florida, LSU, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee.

He started last season as a sophomore with Bellefontaine. He threw for 2,453 yards, 25 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Two crystal ball predictions for St. Clair have him ending up with the Buckeyes.
