2025 4-Star Edge out of of Sugar Land (TX) places Texas A&M in his Top 10

2024 4-star Edge Max Granville has included Texas A&M within his initial Top 10 program list.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class is all but complete, as the focus now shifts to the talented 2025 cycle and new head football coach Mike Elko is itching to get things started and acquire as much talent as possible heading into next summer.

Focusing on the defensive line, the future from a depth perspective is unknown as the transfer portal has taken its toll in the trenches, as Walter Nolen (transferred to Ole Miss), Fadill Diggs (transferred to Syracuse), and Isaiah Raikes have departed, leaving multiple holes that need to be addressed sooner than later.

This week, 2025, four-star Edge Max Granville released his Top 10 program list. He has been on the Aggies’ radar under former head coach Jimbo Fisher, receiving over 32 offers, and has begun narrowing his options.

A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Granville has set his focus on the SEC, the Big 10 and the Big 12, including Oklahoma, LSU, SMU, Alabama, Penn State, Baylor, Kansas, Ohio State, USC, and Texas A&M in his initial list. Granville ascended on the scene during his 2022 sophomore season, recording 112 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks on the year.

According to 247Sports Composite, Granville is currently positioned as the 16th-ranked linebacker and the 25th-ranked player in Texas.

Ohio State football sends out a trio of offers to defensive ends

The Buckeyes were active with offers on Monday #GoBucks

The focus of [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] recruiting on Monday was all about defensive ends.

The Buckeye coaching staff sent out three separate offers, one in the 2024 class and two in the 2025 class. In this cycle, Ohio State has three commitments on the defensive line: Justin Scott, Eddrick Houston and Eric Mensah.

Scott will most likely play on the interior, although his skills will allow him to play almost anywhere. As for Houston and Mensah, they’re more of a traditional style defensive end.

Let’s take a look into who was offered and their current statuses in recruiting.

Film Analysis: Granville is a bullrush machine. He is so quick off of the line of scrimmage and if that isn’t hard enough to stop, he has incredible power.

Texas 2025 edge defender is offered by Notre Dame

The Irish offer the impressive Texan

It feels like a broken record but [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] has really started to lay out their plans for the 2025 recruiting cycle.

A majority of their recent offers have gone out to prospects in that class and another one was sent out on Tuesday. Texas edge defender [autotag]Max Granville[/autotag] was the player targeted by the Irish staff and earned the offer.

At 6-foot, 3-inch and 215 pounds, Granville could end up with his hand on the ground at defensive end or playing right behind one at outside linebacker. Regardless of where he ends up playing, Granville knows how to take down a quarterback. This past season he registered 19 sacks and 6 strip sacks.

The 2025 defender is currently rated as a linebacker, the 17th prospect at his position and 169th overall in the country according to the 247Sports composite.
