EA Sports has been rolling out ratings for Madden NFL 23 position-by-position this week, with running backs revealed on Wednesday.

For the Denver Broncos, Melvin Gordon (83 overall) is the team’s top option in the backfield, followed by Javonte Williams (82 OVR), Mike Boone (67 OVR) and Damarea Crockett (59 OVR).

Madden did not include undrafted rookie Tyreik McAllister in the game’s initial roster. Andrew Beck, the team’s fullback/tight end, isn’t in the game, either.

Gordon has a slightly better overall rating than Williams, but the second-year running back has better acceleration (91 vs. 88) and strength (80 vs. 74) ratings than the veteran. Gordon has better agility (89 vs. 85) and more awareness (83 vs. 79) than Williams in the video game.

EA Sports also released the ratings for kickers Wednesday. Denver’s Brandon McManus is 78 overall, with 96 kick power and 79 kick accuracy.

Up next are cornerback and defensive line ratings released on Thursday, followed by quarterbacks and full team ratings on Friday.

LOOK: Kenneth Walker is Madden 23’s highest rated rookie RB

K9 is the highest-rated rookie running back in Madden 23

Now, Walker is set to be featured in the NFL’s fan-favorite video game, Madden. Upon the impending release of Madden 23, ratings have slowly started to be released and Walker has been featured in a great light.

In a rookie class that features Breece Hall, James Cook, Isaiah Spiller and Brian Robinson, Walker sits at the top of the list when it comes to ratings in the Madden 23 video game.

Madden 23 player ratings for former Georgia running backs

Madden ratings for six former UGA running backs

EA Sports is revealing ratings for Madden NFL 23 this week.

Included in the ratings are six former Georgia football running backs: Nick Chubb, D’Andre Swift, Sony Michel, James Cook, Zamir White and Elijah Holyfield.

Both Cook and White will be rookies during the 2022 NFL season after helping Georgia to its first national title in 41 years.

Chubb ranks tied for the second best ball carrier in the game with Christian McCaffrey. Only Derrick Henry ranks higher.

Swift, the third year back, has had durability issues but has shown he’s capable of being a star if he can stay healthy.

And Michel is now on the Miami Dolphins after winning his second Super Bowl in four years.

Here is how each former UGA running back rates in Madden 23:

Why Jets RB Breece Hall is questioning Madden 23

Why #Jets RB Breece Hall is questioning Madden 23:

New York Jets running back Breece Hall, like many NFL players, think Madden 23 missed the mark.

The latest edition of the NFL video game has slowly released their player ratings this week. The makers of the game rightfully make rookie earn their stripes, the first-year pros are usually average-at-best in terms of their rating.

The Jets’ second-round running back still took offense to one thing in particular: His speed.

Overall, Hall is rated a 76. He did not bother questioning that, but his speed rating did not appear among the top-10 fastest rushers.

The game released the list of the 10 fastest running backs and Hall didn’t see his name. He used his social media account on Twitter to question it:

The next question, what is Hall’s speed?

Actually, he’s not too far off, it’s a 91, which is one point below the top 10.

Better luck next year, rookie.

Madden 23: David Montgomery, Eddie Jackson top ratings for Bears running backs, safeties

Madden 23 released their RB and S grades where David Montgomery and Eddie Jackson led the way for the Bears. Did they get it right?

The Chicago Bears roster has undergone plenty of changes this offseason, but there are some familiar faces at the running back and safety positions.

Madden 23 has been sharing its ratings for players by position this week. After a somewhat brutal showing for Chicago’s wide receivers but better ratings for linebackers and edge rushers, David Montgomery and Eddie Jackson lead the way for the Bears at running back and safety ratings.

Here’s a look at how Bears running backs and safeties were rated by Madden 23:

Dolphins RB and S ratings in Madden NFL 23

Two safeties made it into the 80s.

With the end of another NFL offseason insight, football fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the newest installment of the Madden video game series, Madden 23.

After the release of wide receiver/tight end ratings on Monday, and linebacker/defensive end ratings on Tuesday, EA Sports, the publishers of the game, released running back and safety ratings on Wednesday. The Dolphins have some solid players at each position, but no one made it into the elite 90s.

Here’s a look at most of Miami’s running back and safety ratings for launch and how they compare to other players at the same position:

  • Jevon Holland – 83 overall (t-No. 10 FS)
  • Eric Rowe – 80 overall (t-No. 17 SS)
  • Chase Edmonds – 79 overall (t-No. 33 RB)
  • Raheem Mostert – 78 overall (t-No. 37 RB)
  • Sony Michel – 77 overall (t-No. 42 RB)
  • Myles Gaskin – 74 overall (t-No. 59 RB)
  • Brandon Jones 72 overall (t-No. 40 SS)
  • Clayton Fejedelem – 70 overall (t-No. 45 SS)
  • Sheldrick Redwine – 70 overall (t-No. 47 FS)
  • Salvon Ahmed – 69 overall (t-No. 91 RB)
  • Quincy Wilson – 67 overall (t-No. 61 SS)
  • Verone McKinley III – 63 overall (t-No. 79 FS)
  • Gerrid Doaks – 62 overall (t-No. 157 RB)

While Dolphins fans may not be the happiest with these rankings, they can rest on the fact that Mostert was listed as the fastest running back in the league with a 95 speed rating.

Chris Carson gets highest Madden 23 rating among Seahawks RBs

In an interesting twist, it’s Chris Carson who earned the highest rating this year among Seattle running backs.

The Seahawks should have one of the game’s best running back rooms this year. It appears some people are overlooking this group, though. EA Sports is releasing the ratings for Madden 23 this week and today it was the running backs’ turn.

In an interesting twist, it’s Chris Carson who earned the highest rating this year among Seattle running backs. Here’s the ratings for each of them.

Chris Carson: 83 overall
Rashaad Penny: 78 overall
Ken Walker: 77 overall
Travis Homer: 67 overall
Darwin Thompson: 67 overall
Deejay Dallas: 66 overall

Carson’s 83 overall rating ranks him No. 20 among all running backs in the game. Meanwhile, Penny’s surprisingly-low 78 rating puts him at No. 41, with Walker coming in three spots lower.

For one thing, it seems unlikely right now that Carson will be suiting up for the Seahawks this year. We’ll learn one way or another next week when the team reports to training camp and Carson will either be put on the PUP list or he’ll be cleared to play – there’s also the possibility he’ll be put on season-ending injured reserve and forced to retire.

No matter what Carson’s status is, Penny’s rating is too low. A 78 overall seems appropriate for what we saw from Penny his first three and a half years in the league – but the level of performane we saw down the stretch last season should put him in the top-10 running back conversation.

Seahawks LB Jordyn Brooks among top 5 tacklers in Madden 23

EA Sports has ranked Brooks No. 4 in tackling ability in their latest version of Madden.

The Seahawks have a pair of qualified starting linebackers heading into the 2022 season, if not a star like Bobby Wagner.

Jordyn Brooks is taking over as the team’s new defensive playcaller and how well he does in that role will go a long way in determining just how good this Seattle defense will be.

Brooks took a huge step forward last season in every part of his game. Now he’s been recognized as one of the best tacklers in the league. EA Sports has ranked Brooks No. 4 in tackling ability among linebackers in their latest version of Madden, giving him a 95 rating.

Last season Brooks ranked second in the NFL with 184 combined tackles, trailing only Foye Oluokun (192).
