Madden 23 ratings for every Seahawks player in the game

Here are the ratings for each player in the game, broken down by position.

Judging by their ratings, the makers of Madden don’t think too highly of some of the players on the Seattle Seahawks’ roster this year.

Here are the ratings for each player in the game, broken down by position.

The man behind the Madden 23 ratings told us why Tom Brady is the top QB and why Ja’Marr Chase isn’t a top 10 WR

We asked the man who makes the Madden 23 ratings to explain some of the most stunning ratings.

Madden 23 doesn’t come out for another month, but unless you’ve been living under a rock it’s been impossible not to notice this week was ratings reveal week.

Some ratings, as has become a midsummer tradition, left many fans, players, and pundits in outrage.

No worries, however, our Andy Nesbitt spoke with the Madden’s rating guy, Dustin Smith, at EA Sports to break down some of this year’s most controversial ratings for USA Today’s Sports Seriously.

As Smith would like to point out, these ratings will no doubt fluctuate in real time once the season begins based on real life performances. But for now, enjoy these explanations:

On Tom Brady being the top QB with a 97 rating.:

On Ja’Marr Chase not being in the top 10 of WRs with an 87 rating:

On Kyler Murray not being a top-10 QB and what he might need to do get there:

Consistency, consistency, consistency, and some mid-level accuracy is kind of an area of struggle for him which may have to do with the height. I don’t know. I just know that that’s one of the areas that he could get better.

Sometimes he’ll sail the ball a little too frequently, sometimes outside of the numbers too.

We know the athletic abilities are there, the deep balls are where he is really good. And the short game’s pretty darn solid.

He’s our second best rushing quarterback right behind Lamar Jackson. And that’s not to be slighted despite the fact that he’s not really a tackle breaker or anything like Lamar, but he can do everything else on the run.

On why Trevon Diggs, who had 11 INTs last year, isn’t in the top 10 for CBs:

I do love Trevon. And I’m not surprised he feels the way he does. I mean, I get it.

So the biggest thing we have in cornerbacks is they’re almost always strictly judged on ball production, which is understandable, interceptions is king to a lot of people

In our rating system catching matters, but only so much [compared to] the consistency of how often are you letting guys open in man or zone?

He gave up a ton of yards. He’s not the best in the run game. Obviously thinks he can clearly get better and he’s still very good. So we don’t treat him bad.

Again, these ratings will change each week but it was fun to learn more about how the initial ones are made.

Dolphins QB, OL and specialist ratings in Madden NFL 23

Only one player from the groups made it into the top 10 for their position.

With the end of another NFL offseason in sight, football fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the newest installment of the Madden video game series, Madden 23.

After the release of every other position group’s ratings, EA Sports, the publishers of the game, finished the week by putting out quarterback, offensive line and specialist ratings on Friday. The Dolphins only had one player in any of those groups make it into the top 10 at their position.

Here’s a look at most of Miami’s quarterback, offensive line and specialist ratings for launch and how they compare to other players at the same position:

  • Terron Armstead – 93 overall (No. 4 LT)
  • Thomas Morstead – 80 overall (No. 7 P)
  • Tua Tagovailoa – 75 overall (t-No. 22 QB)
  • Teddy Bridgewater – 75 overall (t-No. 22 QB)
  • Jason Sanders – 75 overall (t-No. 17 K)
  • Robert Hunt – 74 overall (t-No. 16 RG)
  • Connor Williams – 73 overall (t-No. 18 C)

‘Madden NFL 23’ doesn’t think much of this year’s rookie QB class

The 2022 NFL draft class was weak at quarterback, and it’s painfully evident in the player ratings for EA Sports’ “Madden NFL 23” video game

It’s no secret that after last year’s loaded quarterback class, the 2022 NFL draft’s crop of top passers left plenty to be desired in terms of elite talent.

Only one of this year’s quarterback prospects managed to make it into the first round, when the Pittsburgh Steelers finally grabbed Kenny Pickett at No. 20 overall.

The next one didn’t come off the board until halfway through the third round. Only six passers were taken before the seventh round, after last year’s group that saw five quarterbacks selected among the top 15 picks.

The weakness of this year’s quarterback class is reflected in the player ratings for EA Sports’ “Madden NFL 23” video game, which has third-rounder Desmond Ridder as the highest-rated rookie quarterback with a rating of 70.

This clearly wasn’t a great year to need a quarterback early in the draft, but at least next year’s class looks more promising.

Madden NFL 23: Ratings for every Bears player

Here’s a look at the Madden NFL 23 ratings for each Bears player. But did they get it right?

Madden NFL 23 has officially unveiled their ratings ahead of the 2022 season.

Chicago earned an overall team rating of 78, which wasn’t the worst but also was far from adequate. The Bears are tied with the Lions for the sixth-worst rating ahead of the Falcons, Jaguars, Seahawks, Giants and Texans.

When breaking it down by unit, Chicago’s special teams led the way at 76 with the defense not far behind at 75. The Bears offense received a 69 overall rating.

Here’s a look at the rating for each Bears player:

Tom Brady shouldn’t be Madden 23’s top-rated QB, and other NFL fans agreed

Really? Tom Brady shouldn’t be the top QB in Madden.

First, read this and remember it before I go in on this: Tom Brady is the GOAT. He’s still an amazing quarterback who can win a title, one we’ll never underestimate.

But he should, right now, NOT be the top quarterback in Madden 23.

Yet there he is at the top, with a 97 overall rating. That’s ahead of back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers. That’s better than Patrick Mahomes (95). And somehow he’s WAY ahead of Josh Allen (a 92).

I know, I know: You can’t disrespect the GOAT. But at this point in his career, when we’re talking about his physical skills, he should be a top-5 quarterback, not THE top.

And I wasn’t the only one who felt this way:

Here are the ‘Madden NFL 23’ ratings for every Broncos player

Broncos have a team rating of 84 overall in Madden 23. Here are the ratings for Denver’s players in this year’s game.

EA Sports has released full player ratings for Madden NFL 23, the popular video game franchise that’s set to go on sale on Aug. 19.

The Denver Broncos have an overall team rating of 84, is tied for 13th overall in the NFL. Denver is third in the AFC West, behind the Los Angeles Chargers (87 overall) and Kansas City Chiefs (86 overall). The Las Vegas Raiders (83 overall) are just behind the Broncos.

The arrival of quarterback Russell Wilson has put Denver back in playoff contention, but the team still needs on-field results before getting much respect from national pundits — and Madden‘s ratings adjusters.

Here’s how all the team’s players are rated in this year’s version of the game.

Madden 23: Justin Fields, Cody Whitehair lead ratings for Bears quarterbacks, offensive linemen

Madden 23 released their QB and OL ratings where Justin Fields and Cody Whitehair topped the list for the Bears. Did they get it right?

Madden 23 has been sharing its ratings for players by position this week. The Chicago Bears wide receivers didn’t fare well. But it was better for the linebackers and edge rushers, as well as running backs and safeties and cornerbacks and defensive linemen.

Now, Madden is wrapping things up with quarterbacks and offensive linemen (along with fullbacks and punters). Justin Fields, Cody Whitehair and Lucas Patrick led the way for Chicago while the rest of the offensive line didn’t receive high marks.

Here’s a look at how Bears quarterbacks and offensive linemen were rated by Madden 23:

Dolphins CB and DL ratings in Madden NFL 23

Fans are not going to be happy.

With the end of another NFL offseason insight, football fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the newest installment of the Madden video game series, Madden 23.

After the release of wide receiver/tight end ratings on Monday, linebacker/defensive end ratings on Tuesday and running back and safety ratings on Wednesday, EA Sports, the publishers of the game, released defensive line and cornerback ratings on Thursday. While these may be some of the team’s best position groups that the Dolphins have, the grades were a bit underwhelming for their top players.

Here’s a look at most of Miami’s defensive line and cornerback ratings for launch and how they compare to other players at the same position:

  • Xavien Howard – 89 overall (t-No. 10 CB)
  • Byron Jones – 87 overall (t-No. 13 CB)
  • Christian Wilkins – 78 overall (t-No. 17 RE)
  • Nik Needham – 75 overall (t-No. 74 CB)
  • Zach Sieler – 73 overall (t-No. 34 LE)
  • Keion Crossen – 72 overall (t-No. 105 CB)
  • Noah Igbinoghene – 72 overall (t-No. 105 CB)
  • John Jenkins – 71 overall (t-No. 46 DT)
  • Raekwon Davis – 71 overall (t-No. 46 DT)
  • Adm Butler – 69 overall (t-No. 58 DT)
  • Trill Williams – 62 overall (t-No. 245 CB)
  • Elijah Campbell – 60 overall (t-No. 269 CB)
  • Benito Jones – 59 overall (t-No. 128 DT)

Howard and Wilkins’ ratings are unexplainably low. There’s no way someone could look around the league and find that many players at the position better than those two.

The same could be said for Sieler, but everyone knows he doesn’t get the respect he deserves, so it’s expected.

EA Sports has some work to do.

Madden 23: Jaylon Johnson, Justin Jones top ratings for Bears cornerbacks, defensive linemen

Madden 23 released their CB and DL ratings where Jaylon Johnson and Justin Jones topped the list for the Bears. Did they get it right?

The Chicago Bears roster has undergone plenty of changes this offseason, including at the cornerback and defensive line positions. But there are still some familiar faces in place heading into the 2022 season.

Madden 23 has been sharing its ratings for players by position this week. The wide receivers didn’t fare well. But it was better for the linebackers and edge rushers, as well as running backs and safeties.

Jaylon Johnson and Tavon Young were the highest-rated cornerbacks for the Bears while Justin Jones led the way along the defensive interior.

Here’s a look at how Bears cornerbacks and defensive linemen were rated by Madden 23:
