Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

In the 2nd week of the preseason, the Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) will be in Inglewood, Calif., to take on the Los Angeles Rams (0-1). Kickoff from SoFi Stadium will be at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s (OR FanDuel Sportsbook’s) lines around the Raiders vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Raiders steamrolled the San Francisco 49ers 34-7 in their preseason opener,  thanks to a strong performance by rookie QB Aidan O’Connell. He outplayed QB Trey Lance, throwing for 141 yards and a TD on 18 attempts. RB Zamir White led the team with 43 yards rushing and a TD.

The Rams were crushed 34-17 by the Los Angeles Chargers in their first preseason game at SoFi Stadium. Rookie QB Stetson Bennett played most of the game, throwing for 191 yards and a TD with no turnovers – a good start by the former 2-time national champion at Georgia.

Raiders at Rams picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 24, Rams 17

Moneyline

The Rams aren’t going to play many of their starters – certainly not their top guys like WR Cooper Kupp, DT Aaron Donald or QB Matthew Stafford. On paper, the Raiders’ backups are better than the Rams’, who currently have the most rookies of any team in the NFL (36).

I don’t think I’ll ever be willing to lay a bet on a team at -175 in the preseason, but I like the Raiders to win. I would just PASS on the ML.

Against the spread

The Raiders looked really good in the preseason opener, particularly the play of O’Connell. He could get most of the snaps again this week, which could give Las Vegas the edge on offense against an inexperienced and underwhelming Rams defense.

After seeing the way the Raiders played on offense last week, I’m willing to lay the points. BET RAIDERS -3.5 (-110) to cover.

FOOTBALL NEVER STOPS

Over/Under

The total went Over in both the Rams’ and Raiders’ first preseason game, with 1 team in each contest putting up 34 points. Though the Raiders’ defense was impressive against the 49ers, especially given the quarterbacks San Francisco sent out, there could be a regression this week.

And the Rams defense could struggle against O’Connell if he plays the way he did last week. BET OVER 39.5 (-110).

San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

The San Francisco 49ers and the Las Vegas Raiders open their preseasons against each other Sunday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET (NFL Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the 49ers vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

These teams used to meet all the time when both were located in the Bay Area. This is the 1st preseason meeting since Aug. 29, 2021, when the 49ers thumped the Raiders 34-10 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara as a 5.5-point favorite while the Over (36) cashed.

The 49ers and Raiders have been participating in joint practices in Nevada this week. QB Trey Lance will start for the 49ers as QB Brock Purdy is still recovering from the elbow injury he suffered in last season’s playoffs. QB Sam Darnold will also get some snaps

Former 49ers signal caller Jimmy Garoppolo is now the starter in Las Vegas, but he’ll only make a cameo, at best. Veteran backup QB Brian Hoyer also is likely to play little, if at all. Look for backup QBs Chase Garbers and Aidan O’Connell to get the longest looks, as they battle for the 3rd job.

The 49ers ended up winning and covering 2 of 3 preseason games in 2022, while the Under cashed in 2 of those 3 outings, too.

The Raiders played 4 preseason games a season ago with the Hall of Fame game, and Las Vegas was 4-0 against the spread (ATS). The Raiders also scored 23 or more points in 3 of the 4 outings. This organization has taken preseason games seriously in recent years, winning 11 of the past 13 outright.

49ers at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

49ers 23, Raiders 12

Moneyline

Backing the 49ers (-185) straight up is foolish, as you can’t risk nearly 2 times your potential return on any game, let alone a preseason contest.

While San Francisco has more veterans and/or talented players on the field, particularly under center, AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

49ERS -3.5 (-115) are favored, and they’ll cost you a little extra. It should be worth it, however.

I don’t like the fact that the San Francisco offense will likely be without RB Christian McCaffrey and WR Deebo Samuel, but Lance will be starting out with the offense, while Darnold will also get a long look. The advantage under center is clearly in favor of the 49ers, as the Raiders will have the likes of Garbers and O’Connell playing a majority of the snaps.

Play our free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Over/Under

UNDER 36 (-110) is the lean in this preseason opener, as I just don’t trust the young signal callers for the Raiders, TE Darren Waller is now elsewhere, WR Davante Adams likely won’t play and RB Josh Jacobs is away from the team holding out. The Raiders offense should be rather disjointed, resulting in very few points.

Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Kansas City Chiefs (13-3) and Las Vegas Raiders (6-10) face off Saturday. Kickoff from Allegiant Stadium is set for 4:30 p.m. ET (ESPN/ABC/ESPN+). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Chiefs vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Chiefs are currently on a 4-game win streak against the Raiders, including a 30-29 win in Week 5, although they failed to cover as 7.5-point favorites. QB Patrick Mahomes is 8-1 against Las Vegas while Raiders QB Jarrett Stidham will be making his 2nd-career start.

The Chiefs have won 4 straight games overall but have failed to cover the spread in most contests this season. Kansas City is just 4-11-1 ATS while Las Vegas is 8-8 ATS. The Chiefs have not covered against an AFC opponent this season.

This game holds higher stakes for the Chiefs as they need to win in order to capture the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed. The Raiders are eliminated from playoff contention, so this game is more about seeing what they have in Stidham who replaced QB Derek Carr in Week 17. Stidham threw for 365 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTs in a 37-34 overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers in his 1st start.

Chiefs at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Chiefs 34, Raiders 31

Moneyline

The Chiefs will need to be on their A-game as they try to take the AFC’s top seed, but it won’t be easy. Playing a division rival that has nothing to play for can be a trap because the Raiders would love nothing more than to play spoiler for the Chiefs’ playoff bye hopes.

The good news for K.C. is that its offense should fare well against a defense that allows the league’s 4th-most passing yards per game (246.8). It’ll be close, but it’s tough to see anything other than a Kansas City victory with so much on the line.

However, bettors should PASS on the moneyline for this matchup because the payout for taking Chiefs (-425) is not worth the risk.

Against the spread

The Chiefs have been unable to cover against an AFC opponent all season and there’s no reason to believe they’ll start now. Nine of the Raiders’ 10 losses this season have been by 1 possession, including their 1-point loss to the Chiefs earlier this season.

Stidham looked impressive against a great 49ers defense last week and almost led the Raiders to a surprise victory. If he had that sort of success against the NFL’s top-scoring defense, he should be able to see similar results against a Chiefs defense that allowed the putrid Denver Broncos offense to score 52 points in 2 games.

BET RAIDERS +9 (-109).

Over/Under

The Chiefs and Raiders are each 8-8 to the Over this season. The Chiefs boast the league’s best offense at 29.1 points per game while the Raiders just dropped 34 on San Francisco last week. There should be no shortage of offense in this matchup.

TAKE OVER 52.5 (-109).

Bonus prop: Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon ANYTIME TD (-140)

McKinnon has been on a tear for Kansas City lately. He has scored 8 TDs in his last 5 games, including at least 1 receiving TD in each game. Mahomes has loved leaning on McKinnon in the passing game, hitting him for 23 receptions in the last 4 weeks. You could easily double this up with MCKINNON OVER 35.5 RECEVING YARDS (-115) as well — McKinnon has gone over 35 in 3 of his last 4 outings.

San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Francisco 49ers (11-4) will go up against the Las Vegas Raiders (6-9) on Sunday in Week 17 at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the 49ers vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The 49ers cruised to a 37-20 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 16 to cover as 6.5-point favorites at home. San Francisco has reeled off 8 straight wins and is currently the No. 3 seed in the NFC.

The Raiders lost 13-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16 as they failed to cover as 2.5-point underdogs on the road. Las Vegas was eliminated from playoff contention in Week 16 and have elected to bench QB Derek Carr in favor of QB Jarrett Stidham in the final 2 weeks.

49ers at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

49ers 34, Raiders 13

Moneyline

Go ahead and AVOID the moneyline in this game despite San Francisco being close to double-digit favorites. While the 49ers should easily win, taking them straight up isn’t advised at the current odds.

Against the spread

49ers -9.5 (-109) is an easy choice in this game despite 9.5-point spreads being tough to cover in the NFL. Stidham will be making his 1st career start on Sunday against San Francisco’s No. 1 ranked defense.

The 49ers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win and 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a win.

Over/Under

Even though the Raiders could have a tough time scoring points, OVER 42 (-110) is an intriguing wager. The 49ers have been rolling with QB Brock Purdy under center and the defense should give him more possessions on Sunday, resulting in plenty of points for San Francisco.

The 49ers have hit the Over in 3 of their last 4 games overall. Meanwhile, the Raiders are 4-1 to the Over in 4 of their last 5 games against a team with a winning record.

Las Vegas Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Las Vegas Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

To close out the Saturday schedule in Week 16, the Las Vegas Raiders (6-8) are on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-8). Kickoff at Acrisure Stadium is 8:15 p.m. ET (NFL Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Raiders vs. Steelers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Raiders have won 3 of their last 4 games. They are coming off a 30-24 win over the New England Patriots as 1-point favorites when DE Chandler Jones returned a fumble from a lateral 48 yards for the go-ahead touchdown.

The Steelers have also won 3 of their last 4 games. They are coming off a 24-16 road win over the Carolina Panthers as 2.5-point underdogs.

Raiders at Steelers picks and predictions

Prediction

Steelers 17, Raiders 16

Moneyline

The Steelers have begun winning games with their defense. They have not allowed more than 17 points to an opponent in their last 4 games.

The Raiders have averaged 28.3 points per game in their last 4 games and have not won a game scoring fewer than 22 points.

The Steelers have not won a game when an opponent scored more than 20.

In the cold of Pittsburgh at night, it will be close.

BET STEELERS (-130).

Against the spread

The Raiders are 7-7 ATS compared to the Steelers’ 7-6-1 ATS mark this season.

If this is going to a low-scoring affair, it could come down to just a couple of points, a late touchdown or late field goal.

I like the Steelers to win but am not confident they can or win by at least 3.
Betting the moneyline is still decent value and you get a couple of points to play with.

PASS.

Over/Under

The 38-point projected total is low. But with an expected high temperature of 13 degrees on Saturday, game conditions will be much colder at night.

Two of the Steelers’ last 4 games have finished with fewer than 38 points.

The Raiders’ 1 loss in the last month was a 17-16 affair.

BET UNDER 38 (-108).

New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The New England Patriots (7-6) battle the Las Vegas Raiders (5-8) at Allegiant Stadium Sunday. Kickoff from Las Vegas is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Patriots vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Patriots defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27-13 last week covering as 2-point road favorites. New England pushed its against-the-spread (ATS) record to 7-5-1 and has now covered 4 of its last 6 games. The Patriots’  defense ranks top 10 in total yards (312.6) and points allowed (18.4) per game.

The Raiders lost to the Baker Mayfield-led Los Angeles Rams last week, failing to cover as 6-point road favorites. That pushed their ATS record to just 6-7 — just 2-6 on the road and 3-2 at home. However, the Raiders have covered 3 of their last 4. Their offense ranks 9th in yards per game (361.9).

Patriots at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 24, Patriots 17

Moneyline

PASS.

I like the Raiders here, and I would rather play the spread than the moneyline odds.

Against the spread

LEAN RAIDERS -2 (-110).

I would wait to see if Jacobs is active given how good he has been, but the Raiders have simply been far better at home than on the road. Also, until last week, the Raiders were rolling, taking down the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks in back-to-back weeks and covering both games. They also have a more dynamic offense with WR Davante Adams being a focal point of the Las Vegas attack.

With Stevenson questionable, the Patriots offense could struggle if he’s not 100%. They have scored just 73 points in their last 4 games and are just 1-2 ATS in their last 3.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 45 (-110).

The Raiders are 6-7 O/U while the Patriots are 5-8 O/U this season, but just 1-5 O/U in their last 6 games.

The Raiders have gone Under in their last 2 games, 3 of their last 4 and in 5 of their last 7. With Adams and Jacobs questionable, the teams’ offenses may not be at 100% either.

With the Patriots having a top-tier defense and the Raiders ranking 10th in opponents rushing yards per game (110.5), both teams should be able to limit what their opponent does best.

With that in mind, back the UNDER 45 (-110).

Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Los Angeles Chargers (6-5) and Las Vegas Raiders (4-7) face off in an AFC West battle Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff for this Week 13 matchup will be at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Chargers vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Chargers have lost 3 of their last 5 games but are coming off a last-minute 25-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals as 2.5-point favorites. Down 24-17 with 2 minutes to go, QB Justin Herbert led Los Angeles down the field and hit RB Austin Ekeler for a 1-yard passing TD. Instead of tying with an extra point, the Chargers opted to go for a 2-point conversion which was a successful pass to TE Gerald Everett.

After having 2 separate 3-game losing skids this season, the Raiders have finally strung together a 2-game win streak where they’ve also covered the spread. Both of those wins came in overtime and were settled by 6 points (22-16 at Denver Broncos and 40-34 at Seattle Seahawks).

The Chargers and Raiders last played in Week 1. The Chargers won 24-19 and covered as 3.5-point favorites.

Chargers at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 27, Chargers 24

Moneyline

The Chargers have an insanely-long injury list and are missing so many key contributors. Because of this, their defense isn’t as good as it was at the start of the season.

The Raiders’ running game has been rolling with Jacobs who had 229 rushing yards on 33 carries last week against the Seahawks. The Chargers are allowing 151 rushing yards per game, so if Jacobs plays then the Raiders should take advantage.

BET RAIDERS (-130).

Against the spread

AFC West matchups can be tight, so this one being decided by less than a FG isn’t out of the question. With the juice so close to the moneyline, you’re better off AVOIDING the spread and betting on the moneyline.

Over/Under

Both squads have a 6-5 record on the Over. The Raiders should be able to run the ball on the Chargers while Herbert will take advantage of a weak Raiders pass defense. Expect a decent amount of scoring and LEAN OVER 49.5 (-110).

Raiders at Seahawks picks and predictions

Prediction

Seahawks 27, Raiders 20

Moneyline

The Seahawks do not have problems scoring points, especially against lesser defenses. The Raiders allow 24.1 points per game and the Seahawks average 25.7.

Seattle has scored 27 or more in 5 of their last 7 games and have allowed 21 or fewer points in 4 of their last 5 games.

The Seahawks should win this but the moneyline isn’t worth the action.

PASS.

Against the spread

The Raiders’ last 3 losses have all been by at least 5 points.

The Seahawks’ last 4 wins have been by at least 10 points.

The Raiders allow 140.9 rushing yards per game and Seattle averages 124.3. They can get a lead, pull away and run the clock down.

BET SEAHAWKS -4 (-112).

Over/Under

The Raiders’ last 4 games have not reached 48 total points.

Only 2 of the last 5 for the Seahawks have gotten to 48 total points.

Seattle can slow the game down with their running game once they get a lead, so while points might come quickly early, the game will slow down.

BET UNDER 47.5 (-108).

Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-7) are on the road in Week 11 and seek to complete the season sweep over the Denver Broncos (3-6) on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff at Empower Field at Mile High is 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Raiders vs. Broncos odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Raiders have lost 3 straight games as the favorite. They were shut out 24-0 by the Saints as 1-point favorites in Week 8, lost 27-20 as 2.5-point favorites to the Jaguars after blowing a 17-point lead in Week 9, and then lost 25-20 last week to the Indianapolis Colts as 4.5-point favorites.

The Broncos have only 1 win in their last 6 games. As 2.5-point underdogs in Week 10, they lost 17-10 to the Tennessee Titans.

Raiders at Broncos picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 23, Broncos 16

Moneyline

As much as the Raiders have struggled this season, it is surprising to see them as underdogs against the struggling Broncos. One of the Raiders’ 2 wins is over the Broncos, a 32-23 victory in Las Vegas in Week 4.

The Raiders have scored 20 or more in 7 of their 9 games this season.

The Broncos have reached 20 only twice this season but allow the fewest points in the league at 16.6 per game.

And as bad as the Raiders defense has been, allowing 25.1 points per game, the Broncos are only scoring 14.6 points per game, worst in the league.

BET RAIDERS (+125).

Against the spread

Both teams are 3-6 ATS on the season. All the same reasons why the Raiders would win the game outright apply to why you would take them to cover the spread. If that is the case, the best play is to stick with the moneyline because of the positive odds.

No reason to go with the spread if you like the Raiders to win.

PASS.

Over/Under

The Broncos, who already struggle to score, are missing their 3 top receivers.

While the 1st meeting of these teams this season had 55 total points, the Broncos had all their pass catchers. I don’t see them getting to 20 points and I don’t think the Raiders will have much more than 20.

BET UNDER 41.5 (-112).

Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Indianapolis Colts (3-5-1) are on the road in Week 10 to face the Las Vegas Raiders (2-6). Kickoff is Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (CBS). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Colts vs. Raiders odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Colts fired Frank Reich as coach and named Jeff Saturday as interim coach, despite his having no coaching experience in the NFL. The Colts have lost 3 games in a row and are coming off a 26-3 loss to the New England Patriots last week.

The Raiders have lost 2 game in a row, blowing a 17-0 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 27-20 loss last week.

Colts at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Raiders 24, Colts 20

Moneyline

The Colts have not scored more than 16 points in the last 3 games and, outside of a 34-27 win over the Jaguars, have averaged only 14 points per game.

The Raiders have scored 20 or more in 6 of their last 7 games. However, they have allowed 20 or more points in every game this season.

The anemic Colts offense might threaten, but the Raiders should hold on.

That said, it isn’t worth betting the moneyline here. PASS.

Against the spread

The Colts have not covered the spread in 3 straight games and the Raiders have failed to do so in their last 2.

The question is whether the Colts can score more than they have against a Las Vegas defense that has let everyone score.

Expect a new coach boost of play from the Colts to keep the game close.

BET COLTS +4.5 (-112).

Over/Under

All but 1 of the Raiders’ games this season have had totals of more than 40.

Only 1 of the Colts’ games has passed 41 points.

As noted, the Raiders have allowed at least 20 points in every game this season.

Bet OVER 41 (-108).
