Is Taylor Swift’s new song thanK you aIMee about Kim Kardashian? Fans are reading into the lyrics

Fans immediately drew a connection to the fashion mogul with the new track on The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor Swift’s newest album dropped at midnight on Thursday as the 14-time Grammy winner surprised with 31 new songs on The Tortured Poets Department. While there were tracks that seemed to tell the stories of heartbreak with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn and her short-lived follow-up relationship with singer Matty Healy, one song stood out to fans.

Based on the lyrics and cryptic capitalizations in “thanK you aIMee,” Swifties quickly put it together that it might be about Swift’s longstanding feud with Kim Kardashian.

Swift has had beef with Kardashian and her ex-husband, Kanye West, for years, stemming back to West’s lyrics mentioning Swift in his song “Famous” and the phone call between the artists that was leaked in 2016.

The song details the pain “Aimee” put her through, but says “… I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

Duke freshman Jared McCain announced as ambassador for SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s clothing brand

Duke freshman Jared McCain was announced as one of the six NCAA basketball players sponsored by SKIMS, the clothing line started by Kim Kardashian, on Monday.

Star freshman Jared McCain has another big-time NIL sponsorship.

McCain was announced as one of six collegiate basketball players sponsored by SKIMS, the clothing line started by Kim Kardashian, on Monday.

The reveal is part of the brand’s March All-Star campaign advertising a new loungewear line.

McCain was joined by Connectict’s Donovan Clingan, Kansas’s Hunter Dickinson, Kentucky’s Rob Dillingham, Arizona’s Caleb Love, and North Carolina’s Paxson Wojcik.

According to On3’s NIL valuation, McCain, who has two million followers on TikTok, is worth more than $1 million in name, image, and likeness compensation. That’s the third-most of any collegiate basketball player behind only USC’s Bronny James (the son of NBA legend LeBron James) and Austin Peay’s Hansel Emmanuel.

The Duke freshman is averaging 13.4 points and 4.9 rebounds through the ACC Tournament, and he finished second in ACC Rookie of the Year voting. He was listed as an Honorable Mention for the all-conference teams, narrowly missing out on Third Team honors.

He tied a Duke freshman record with 35 points against Florida State earlier this year, and he’s scored at least 20 points in six other games since December 9.

Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS underwear partnership with the WNBA is a sign business is booming in the league

Kim K. and the WNBA has a nice ring to it.

The WNBA is full of bosses on and off the court, and Kim Kardashian is familiar with their game.

The WNBA is experiencing a ton of growth. Fittingly, the 2023 season was the most-watched regular season since 2002. Viewership numbers were up 21% as the league set new records across WNBA digital platforms, social media, and sports betting.

The 2023 WNBA Finals also gave fans one of the best matchups they could hope for as the league MVP, DPOY, and the two best teams went toe-to-toe for a chance at WNBA history. It’s only fitting that a matchup like that was the most-watched Finals in two decades.

These phenomenal athletes are getting the recognition they deserve. Brands like Google, DICK’s Sporting Goods and PlayStation are partnering with the WNBA to support women and empower them as they show the world that women are ballers too.

The league has landed on the radar of another woman who knows something about breaking records.

Kim Kardashian and her underwear brand SKIMS are announcing a multiyear partnership that will make SKIMS the WNBA’s official underwear partner.

“The athletes of the WNBA are trendsetters and cultural influencers,” said Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “We are excited to work with SKIMS, a brand that has quickly cemented its status as a cultural centerpiece, to elevate each other’s brands and celebrate female athletes and their impact in society.”

Kardashian echoed Englebert’s excitement, saying, “We look forward to working together in amplifying our joint values of women empowerment and individual confidence.”

Fans can expect to see the WNBA and SKIMS rollout promotions throughout the 2024 season and as the calendar approaches the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix, Arizona.

SKIMS is also expected to receive exposure that includes on-court virtual signage during national broadcasts and across the league’s digital platforms.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander signs with Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS Men launch

SGA continues to gain notoriety as Kim Kardashian signed him for her SKIMS Men’s launch.

As the Oklahoma City Thunder enter the upper echelon of the league, fame will soon follow.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the best example of this. After coming off a career year where he finished No. 5 in MVP voting, it was announced on Monday that he signed with Kim Kardashian’s SKIM Men’s clothing line.

Gilgeous-Alexander joins Neymar Jr. and Nick Bosa as the inaugural athletes for the underwear line. The 25-year-old even received a dedicated Instagram post by Kardashian following the announcement.

This comes on the same day the Thunder were featured in SLAM Magazine. Gilgeous-Alexander’s on-court production continues to open avenues for him outside of basketball as he becomes more of a household name with his play.

As the Thunder continue to gain national relevance, so will their players when it comes to receiving off-court opportunities to further grow their brand.

Much like Russell Westbrook, it appears Gilgeous-Alexander will lean towards the fashion and clothing aspect of fame.

Usher announced as Super Bowl 58 halftime show headliner with help from Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders and more

Usher is headlining the Super Bowl 58 halftime show in Vegas.

Want to see something cool? Watch this.

We finally got an answer to who’s headlining the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII halftime show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11, and it’s none other than Usher.

Apple announced the You Got It Bad singer as the headliner in different edited versions of the classic video for his 2004 hit Confessions, Pt. II. Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders, Marshawn Lynch, Odell Beckham Jr. and even Usher himself were all enlisted to act out the scenes in between Usher’s sketch from the old video, but instead of telling him about what happened with the chick from Part 1, they pretend to tell him about the Super Bowl.

Usher makes a lot of sense for the Vegas Super Bowl for several reasons. In addition to the countless hit songs he has to perform, he’s been doing a residency in Vegas for the last year that’s been so successful it was recently extended through December.

Usher follows Rihanna, Dr. Dre and The Weeknd as the most recent Super Bowl halftime show headliners.

Bengals RB Chris Evans had a hilarious response to his odds of becoming Kim Kardashian’s next boyfriend

He’s gotta love those odds.

I’m not even going to attempt to understand how the names on this list were compiled, but Odds Shark created odds for who Kim Kardashian’s next beau will be. And while some were pretty self-explanatory, like Pete Davidson and Kanye West, others were not.

One of those other names, and maybe the most random of the 14 to make the list, was Chris Evans. And before you think, “Wait, Captain America? That’s not so random.” No. It’s not that Chris Evans.

It was Cincinnati Bengals second-year running back Chris Evans. And he appeared just as confused to see his name on the list as anyone.

Judging by the emoji selection, Evans certainly doesn’t seem against the idea. And he’s got to love his odds. The odds for that Donald Trump guy should probably be a lot longer, though.

Giants’ Darius Slayton: ‘Dating a Kardashian’ the scariest curse in sports

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton (tongue-in-cheek) believes “dating a Kardashian” is the worst curse in all of sports.

If one of the Kardashian’s suddenly become available, do not expect New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton to shoot his shot.

This past Friday — Friday the 13th — SportsCenter posed a very simple question: “What’s the scariest curse in sports history?”

Some of the answers were obvious. There was, of course, the Madden curse and the “Drake wearing your team’s jersey” curse. There were also others suggested, like just playing in Minnesota (terrible sports history there). And for fans of the New York Giants, there were references to the infamous Miami boat trip.

In fact, that boat trip came up a second time over the weekend.

But the aforementioned Slayton had a different line of thought when it came to the worst sports curse. His answer came at the cross-section of sports and entertainment.

“Dating a Kardashian,” he tweeted.

“The Kardashian Curse” is something that has evolved over the years and does not sit well with the clan, including Kendall Jenner, who has been very outspoken about the curse.

“What I don’t like about this narrative is that the blame is on us. I think the men need to take that responsibility. It’s almost offensive, personally,” Jenner told Maxim of the athletes who have faltered after dating a Kardashian or Jenner.

Among the professional athletes to date a Kardashian or Jenner are Kris Humphries, Lamar Odom, Tristan Thompson, James Harden, Ben Simmons, Reggie Bush, Miles Austin, Derrick Ward, Matt Kemp and Devin Booker.

For many of those players, they struggled during and after dating within the Kardashian. And for some, they never recovered from the dreaded “Kardashian curse.”
