Jalen Hurts lands a massive brand deal with Jordan!
Former Alabama quarterback [autotag]Jalen Hurts[/autotag] took the NFL by storm in 2022 as he finished runner-up in the MVP race to Patrick Mahomes and also led the Eagles to the Super Bowl where they lost against, you guessed it, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Heading into the 2023 season, Hurts is widely regarded as one of the five best signal callers in the league.
Hurts is most known for his rushing abilities as he carried the ball 165 times for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. However, it was his growth in the passing game that turned heads. Hurts completed a remarkable 66.5% of his passes for 3,701 yards and 22 touchdowns with only six interceptions. His remarkable growth last season resulted in a mega-contract worth $255 million over five years, which made him the highest-paid player in NFL history for 10 days.
As if the contract wasn’t enough to set Hurts up for life, he signed a brand deal with Jordan. Hurts will now wear Jordan cleats for all games as well as various apparel, it is definitely one of the coolest deals any athlete can sign.
Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts officially has partnered with Brand Jordan. The deal was negotiated by Joe D'Amelio, VP of Football Marketing at @klutchsportsgroup. Another deal for Hurts.

The new collaboration between Jordan and East Side Golf steers away from the traditional.
Eastside Golf is a Compton-based lifestyle and streetwear golf company. Eastside’s mission is to diversify golf and make it more inclusive to all ages and walks of life through style.
It is no secret that Jordan golf shoes are a hot commodity among all ages and this collaboration is set to bring the heat. The all-new Air Jordan 1 High Golf will be one of the main attractions of this drop.
The shoe resembles a street-style Jordan shoe but has a bottom with traction fit for the course. It does not appear as a traditional golf shoe, similar to how Eastside Golf steers away from the traditional golf mold. The two main differences from the original sneaker are the spikeless traction and Zoom Air technology in the heel for added impact protection.

Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton is on the short list of the best defenders to ever dawn the iconic gold helmet. His second interception of the 2021 opener at Florida State showed the national audience what Notre Dame observers had already known, and assuming he decides to enter the NFL draft early, he’ll undoubtedly have his name called really early in the first round.
Hamilton does it all as he’s the rare combination of speed, size, and instincts that make him an elite defender, but he does have one flaw that keeps showing itself time and time again and it has nothing to do with football.
Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed. I know you’ve stated this opinion before but can this be the final time?
Yes, LeBron James is a better passer and rebounder than Michael Jordan ever was. Not that James can’t take over a game scoring, he certainly has during the very big moments, but Jordan never completely vanished in a key postseason moment like James, either. What one accomplishes obviously goes into the debate but what about what one doesn’t do?
In June of 2011 James at his absolute peak of dominance. He was completing his first year in Miami and after some difficulties during the regular season, still helped guide the Heat to the NBA Finals. It was with the Heat leading the series 2-1 that James folded up like a cheap suit and scored just eight points in game four. Miami lost complete control of the series, ultimately falling to a less talented Dallas Mavericks team in six games.
Eight points in an NBA Finals game for a man who likes to be called “The King”. Let that sink in.
The tide of that series changed because of James and that’s not meant as a compliment to King James (insert eyeroll). I don’t care what happened before or after, the 2011 NBA Finals will forever keep LeBron James from being the greatest basketball player of all-time.
James guiding Cleveland to a shocking 2016 NBA Finals upset over a 73-win Golden State team was incredible, but it doesn’t erase what happened five years earlier. It should also be noted that Draymond Green’s idiocy that series should be thanked daily by Camp James.
As should Ray Allen for his heroics bailing out James and the Heat in the 2013 NBA Finals.
Sure Jordan’s teams lost series over the years and he missed game-winning shots or went cold down the stretch at times, but did he ever just bury himself in a corner not wanting to take on a challenge?
Kyle Hamilton was just 10 years old during the 2011 NBA Finals so he was certainly old enough to remember it, just like I was 11 years old during the 1997 NBA Finals when the other legend in this debate faced a Game Five road contest with the series tied 2-2, and did anything but fold up.
Sure, I’m a Chicagoland kid that grew up at the peak of the Bulls dynasty but even without viewing things from that lens it’s not a debate. It’d be like anyone who says Aaron Rodgers is better than Tom Brady. Sure, Rodgers may be more talented at many things, but when it actually comes down to winning time, who walks out with the huge victory time and time again?
Kyle Hamilton is a great football player, seems like a great young man that you’d be proud to have as a friend or family member, but he couldn’t be more wrong about who the greatest basketball player of all-time is.
Wide receiver recruiting is exciting to think about for Texas fans right now. Here are the remaining targets at the position.
Wide receiver recruiting is exciting to think about for Texas fans right now. Even from the outside perspective, it is easy to understand why.
Over the past two NFL drafts, Steve Sarkisian is expected to have been the offensive coordinator for four first-round draft picks plus the Heisman Trophy winner in DeVonta Smith. High school recruits will naturally follow that kind of reputation.
Four-star prospects Evan Stewart and Armani Winfield have already cemented their place in Texas’ 2022 recruiting class. The latter gave his commitment in the middle of Alabama‘s national championship performance, while Stewart’s pledge still stands as the biggest win in Sarkisian’s early days as a recruiter in Austin.
Texas is expected to take at least two more wide receivers before the 2022 class is all said and done. Even a fifth could be added if the fit is right. Sarkisian and Andre Coleman want to revitalize the position room, making it one of the best in the country. Hopefully, Casey Thompson/Hudson Card/Maalik Murphy will be thanking them for years to come.
Here is an in-depth look at the remaining targets at wide receiver for the 2022 class.
Sneakers don’t really have much of anything to do with politics so, of course, Sneaker Twitter doesn’t normally get political.
But on Wednesday President Joe Biden’s inauguration was an exception. The inauguration had everyone on sneaker Twitter buzzing. Why? Because there was an incredibly rare pair of shoes spotting walking down the steps behind Senator Amy Klobuchar while she was speaking.
The shoes flashed across everyone’s screens at home and, almost immediately, everyone knew what they were looking at. It was definitely a pair of Jordan 1’s. And definitely a pair of DIOR 1’s at that. That’s high heat stuff.
Sneaker Twitter demanded to know who it was wearing these. Who among these folks was in the culture? Who was bringing the heat to the nation’s capitol? We needed to know.

Eric Paschall chimed in on Twitter after Steve Kerr’s game-winning shot from the 1997 NBA Finals was the focus of attention in “The Last Dance” documentary.
In episode eight of “The Last Dance,” Steve Kerr’s most significant moment as a member of the Chicago Bulls was the focus of attention. While Michael Jordan was the centerpiece of Chicago’s championship dynasty, it was Golden State’s head coach who sealed The Bulls’ fate in 1997.
With 28 seconds remaining in game six of the 1997 NBA Finals, the Bulls had the ball with the game locked at 86 against the Utah Jazz. Although Jordan had a long resume of game-winning shots, the five-time Most Valuable Player dished the ball to Kerr with six seconds remaining.
Kerr drilled a top of the key jumper for the last shot of the game to give the Bulls an 88-86 lead. The Jazz turned over the final possession, sealing Chicago’s fifth championship.
After Kerr’s iconic shot was documented in the Jordan-era film, one Warriors rookie went to social media to salute his coach’s memorable moment. Eric Paschall tweeted, “big shot coach!!”
In a previous episode, Paschall chimed in on social media to share his thoughts when Kerr’s famous practice altercation with Jordan was put under the spotlight.

Along with Kerr’s game-winner in 1997, the final two chapters of The Last Dance covered Jordan’s bout with Reggie Miller and the Indiana Pacers, and Chicago’s back-to-back battles with the Utah Jazz.
