Puma releases new Phantomcat Nitro golf shoe to be worn by Rickie Fowler

It’s Puma’s most advanced shoe yet.

The new Phantomcat Nitro golf shoe has been released, and it’s Puma’s most advanced shoe yet.

This shoe looks good, but the technology behind the Phantomcat takes it to a whole new level. The new nitrogen infused foam in the heel helps give an improved rebound and lightweight response as you walk. Say goodbye to squished toes, Puma has restructured its toe box with an anatomically shaped last providing a better fit for more golfers.

In addition, the new Flexspike design provides an upgraded traction system. Flexspike was engineered to increase surface contact with the ground with its uniquely shaped cleats. These cleats provide a greater grip in the ground and better weight distribution, making these shoes feel lighter and more comfortable. The Flexspike technology allows the foot to move in all different directions as you swing and walk throughout the day.

The Phantomcat Nitro includes a 1-year waterproof guarantee with its full grain leather uppers. The TPU outsole is made up of a molded heel panel and secondary traction elements to help lock the foot into place.

“The Phantomcat Nitro is our most advanced shoe to date,” said Andrew Lawson, Senior PLM Footwear at Puma Golf. “Nitro foam and Flexspike technology gives the golfer a combination of traction and comfort like never before. The feedback we’ve received from our Tour Athletes has been fantastic and I can’t wait for golfers to try this shoe.”

Nike releases Masters Edition Tiger Woods ’13 golf shoe

The Masters isn’t until April, but Nike is keeping the style fresh year round. 10 years ago, Nike released the Tiger Woods ’13 golf shoe that set the golf footwear industry on fire.

Today, Nike released the Masters Edition of the Tiger Woods ’13 golf shoe and it comes with pops of yellow and green traditional accents.

For example, the True Linkswear’s Lux Sport is one of the most breathable and versatile golf shoes on the market. The cross-life tread allows for these to be worn on the course, in the gym, at the market or wherever else a waterproof adaptive knit is needed. The Wanderlux Superfoam midsole gives an athletic feeling shoe for any season.

JD Rastovski, the company’s vice president of global sales, talked with Golfweek about how the company accidentally stumbled upon a line that has become its most popular seller.

London golf store counters Travis Scott x Air Jordan resellers by forcing buyers to drive 200 yards

Wanna buy and resell these shoes? You better know how to handle a driver.

A golf store in London has found the perfect counter to prevent people from buying and reselling the new Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low golf shoes, which will be released on Oct. 13.

Their solution is forcing customers to drive a golf ball 200 or more yards (150 or more for women) in order to buy the shoes.

Trendy Golf explains that on Monday, an as-yet-to-be-named location will house the coveted sneakers. If you win the raffle and make it down to the store, you will still have to step up to the golf simulator.

It’s been a tough time to be a reseller lately. Not only have several online retailers made an effort to crack down on bots, but the decline in demand for sneakers has also been noticeable for people in the reselling business. Now, they have to perform athletic feats as well?

How hard is it to drive a ball 200 yards?

For a seasoned golfer, it’s not hard at all. Even for an amateur golfer though, it can be quite difficult. For someone who doesn’t golf, 200 yards is difficult. The store emphasized that prospective buyers will only have two chances to hit the ball 200 yards. Anyone who does not golf would be lucky to the hit the ball off the tee at all.

And 200 yards isn’t just a tough distance, it’s considered a milestone for many people. You don’t forget the day you drive 200. There are numerous YouTube videos available online that are designed to help people reach that threshold.

A recent study found that mid-to-high handicap golfers drive the ball anywhere from 187 to 204 yards. In effect, a mediocre golfer should reach this distance. And that’s really the point in all of this, to discard the pretenders from the real duffers.

If you are in dire need of these shoes, buckle down, hit the range, watch those videos, and be one of the few people who can earn them. Think about how much better the resell will feel after all the work you put in to be able to drive a ball 200 yards.

This is a genius move from the store. It’s a great marketing tool that will draw a lot of eyes, and it might also draw a lot of legitimate golfers looking to get the shoes as a sort of trophy to prove that they can drive 200 yards even under the pressure of having only two opportunities.
