Holloman was expected to be Georgia’s No. 1 wide receiver for the 2019 season, but he was dismissed from the team. Georgia never quite adapted to his absence that season.

Now, Holloman will have a new chance to prove himself with Tennessee State. Former NFL legend Eddie George is now the head coach at Tennessee State.

Tennessee State has notable 2022 games against Jackson State, Middle Tennessee, and Eastern Washington.

Former Georgia WR J.J. Holloman enters transfer portal again

Former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver JJ Holloman has entered into the NCAA’s transfer portal. He intends to transfer from the FIU Panthers.

Former Georgia Bulldog wide receiver J.J. Holloman has entered into the NCAA’s transfer portal. Holloman is returning to the transfer portal after initialing transferring from Georgia during the 2019 offseason.

Holloman was involved in an offseason incident and ultimately decided to transfer to the Florida International Panthers football program. Holloman scored a touchdown for FIU, but that was about it for his 2020 college football season. The former Georgia receiver sat out the 2019 season.

Holloman’s transfer left Georgia particularly weak at the wide receiver position for the 2019 season. Jake Fromm and Georgia’s passing game struggled at times throughout the season and couldn’t get the job done without George Pickens for the first half in the SEC Championship Game.

Where will Holloman transfer next? Holloman will be a graduate transfer, so he should be available to be immediately eligible (next season). Georgia fans may want him to return, but that seems unlikely at this point. Due to Holloman’s previous misconduct, he likely won’t be able to return to the SEC.

We’ll update you on Holloman’s transfer destination. There are currently a pair of Georgia wide receivers in the NCAA transfer portal. This offseason may be the most transfer-heavy college football offseason ever. There will be incredible amounts of roster management since players don’t lose eligibility for the 2020 season, even if they played in every game.

Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver J.J. Holloman hauled in his first career touchdown pass for the Florida International Panthers this week. Holloman was dismissed from the Georgia team before the 2019 season and transferred to FIU following his dismissal.

Holloman had numerous memorable catches during his time at Georgia. He has a knack for scoring on contested catches in the red zone.

To provide an update on Holloman, he still maintains relationships with many of his former Georgia Bulldogs teammates. He is a junior at FIU. He recently scored his first career touchdown at FIU:

It is good to see Holloman doing well, even though he’s no longer with the Georgia football program. Holloman still has NFL potential and will look to replicate some his success from his days at UGA.

It has been a tough season for the FIU Panthers, who are 0-5. Holloman will hope to be a bright spot for them moving forward as they try to get out of the cellar of Conference USA.
